Dr.... what oil would you recommend as a replacement for black sesame oil often used in India as you say. I am Vata imbalanced but pitta prominent.I find sesame oil so heating. Would white sesame be suitable?

Where to buy black sesame oil of abyanga quality?
Is it okay if it's refined? Does it need to be cold pressed?
    What about corn oil?

Are daily oil massages recommended even if there is a yellowish coating on tongue? Or should digestion issues (tongue coating) be cleared prior to proceeding with Abhyanga ?

I enjoy the massage a lot but feels very tired and sleepy and need to take a nice long nap.

Does one have to shower after every oil rub? Don't like showering every day, it feels weakening and too time consuming, but was recommended to do the oil massage daily.

No, you can leave the oil on if you like and you don;t mind that your clothes or bed linens might start to smell of rancid oil over time!

@@dr.mteitelbaum i leave the oil on and have been doing it for about a year or so. I also put it in my beard and hair. I suspected it would do the same thing (affect my bedding etc) but it hasn’t. I only shower with bicarb and diluted vinegar to condition the skin and hair after the bicarb which is drying but much less than soap. I use a mix of olive oil and lanolin, infused with herbs such as rosemary, cardamon, clove and cinnamon. In the summer i use coconut.
I really like your content. Do you do online consults? I understand it might be a bit impractical.

@@envirocleansydney Yes, I actually only do phone consultations and Skype sessions (for overseas patients).
