Crazy thing your car brings back memories my buddy had a 1988 mustang LX that I had over $50,000 in suspension and drive train and I can’t remember the actual price of the motor and everything but it was a 306 it had trick flow heads trick flow intake Mac exhaust Had the exact same supercharger kit but the piping was all done so that the hood could still be put on in 1995 he was the fastest mustang in western Canada

Here is the only thing I would do different Tony and Tess, 1986 Mustang GT 302's did indeed have Factory Forged Flat top Pistons with four valve reliefs. When I built my 302 back in 1994-96? I used a 1968 302 block (Thicker main webs and Main's) Ford Motorsports Factory replacement Crank and Connecting Rods with 1986 Factory Forged Pistons. They held up to 8800 rpm's daily, I made 503 hp with ported factory 1970 D0OE 351 Windsor heads with big valves ported by Jim Lingenfelter ( Yes kin to legendary John Lingenfelter.) I ported a Victor Jr intake, Way to big of a cam that was not designed for my combo but it worked ok. ( Competition Cams Custom Ground solid Lifter 351 Windsor cam of 0.697" lift on the intake and 0.703" lift on the Exhaust with a 108 LSA. I don't recall the duration at 0.050" or at Advertised.) It sounded like a Pro Stock Engine and tried to scream like one too. I sure miss it but the Forged Pistons is what I definitely would change to and still be factory Ford.
It's impossible to go 4:90's with a stock Ford block. According to the LS Internet engine building professionals Stock Ford blocks split in half, blow up the entire car and potentially chop your right foot off at right around 53.7 HP. 😂

We go through nozzles like crazy because we have an abnormally high amount of water pressure and they get blown apart. I usually keep a few on hand, but we blew apart our last one that day.
