Oh my fucking god😂 I’m looking for a 20g barbell but u can’t find them and I keep getting it big and fit won’t fit the needle so I’m like wtf so I might go over there😂 or ima just order another size needle
Spencer’s has terrible jewelry. The quality isn’t good. The metal isn’t for sensitive skin. Like myself I need atleast stainless steel, but prefer titanium
Just got a tattoo apprenticeship and hardly know a thing about piercings, people call the shop constantly with piercing questions. Better learn what I can.
@@slc2222 I meant to respond to this a lot sooner but forgot. Alright so first I would check the shops in your area. Make sure the place you want to apprentice at is somewhere with a good atmosphere and that your mentor has a good standing in the community. Usually you're going to be at this shop for a long time so you want to be happy with where you are. Secondly work on a professional portfolio. Mine was just a hard back book with some transparent laminated pages. Make sure you include different styles of work and a wide range of colors and subject matter. I did about 15 pages I think but you could keep it down to 10 or more. I suggest looking at some of the American traditional styles that really developed the tattooing world and getting a bit of knowledge on the history of tattooing and some of the big names. Once you're ready I suggest either finding the shops page and shooting them a message, calling, or just walking in and talking to the owner of the shop to see if they offer apprenticeships because not all of them do. Be professional. Know that they're usually unpaid for the first few months and it wont be all fun work at first. DO NOT sign any contracts that only give you "x" amount of time or pay them any money for the training. Some shops will take advantage and use your free labor until the contract is up and then claim you didn't make enough progress in "x" amount of time. My apprenticeship was completely free I just had to dedicate my time to the shop. If you have anymore questions I'd be happy to give you my email. Hope that helps a bit.
Hi, I'm a guy with a nipple piercing. Definitely healed - I've had it about 18 months. It's got a straight barbell in it, the one I was pierced with. I'd like to switch to a cbr. Can I easily do it myself? Or am I best to wait until piercing places are open again?
Captive bead rings can be very tricky! It’s possible to do yourself but you may find yourself dropping the ball a few times. I would wait until piercing places are open to change.
I have 2 horseshoes in my ear (I have a double tragus) and I’m trying to get it off but it just WONT. I can’t even tell if the ball is moving when I try to twist it to the left! :(
i got my tragus pierced in late january and about a week ago i noticed a small bump. ive tried sea salt solution for it but it isnt healing well. should i take out the jewelry ?:(( i heard it might be bad but idk what else to do no shops are open due to co vid.
andrea it sounds like you have something called a keloid. I had some on my industrial piercing and they do go away. Do not take out the jewellery because that can cause an infection. I used a salt paste once a week and I used something called savlon cream which is an antiseptic cream every day and the keloids can go away within 2 weeks to months depending on how big it is and how well you looking after the piercing. Hope this helps 😊
@@hannahfoster7928 nope, it's not a keloid. keloids are rare and generally only experienced by black people. I am not going to assume the race of the OP but most bumps that occur in piercings are called hypertrophic scarring. andrea, it's up to you. you've probably done it by now but it will go down regardless of whether you take it out or not. I have had this issue with my tragus before in its early days. eventually, it will look perfect. if it's not infected, there is really no reason to take it out. re-piercing the area in the future may be difficult so you should consider that.
diane cry-anne nguyen I’m 100% sure a keloid and hypertrophic scarring are basically the same... I had my industrial piercing done years ago and that had 4 keloids on it so I’m sure I know what it talking about 🙄
Oh man, that’s completely incorrect. Keloids are genetic but anyone can get hypertrophic scarring. Having piercings and researching are different so before you try to sound untitled, look in to it. Keloids and hypertrophic scarring are not the same. If you don’t believe, search it up (use a reliable source!)
I have it in my nostril so one of the balls are in my nose to the point where I can't really reach it. It was just used to accommodate swelling and healing. But now that I can change it I can't get it out
I hope you answer this question but I'm getting my septum pierced soon and shes piercing it with a 16 gauge needle but I only have a 18 gauge ring for it can I still use it?
many piercers will pierce with a higher gauge needle than the jewellery. it should be fine. problems arise if you were to do the opposite i.e. pierce with a smaller gauge needle than jewellery.
Any tips on how to remove horseshoe? I have one on my cartilage and I want to replace it cos it’s really painful, but idk how to remove it cos it’s too tight :(
I have a nipple piercing and I wear a 12mm long 14g curved barbell with 5mm balls. This is a perfect length and size for me if anyone’s looking for recommendations. I wouldn’t go smaller than 5mm for the balls, but that’s just me.
Did you use any type of lube---such as triple antibiotic ointment? Try that, and don't forget to clean the piercing after you get the jewelry inserted. Also be sure the holes are lined up. Is it the same gauge as the piercing?
Hey gal! LOVE how detailed your videos are. Question, I have two nostril piercings--one on each side and I want to put a circular (horse-shoe like) ring (two balls on the piercing rather than one like with a hoop) in one of them but I'm finding that they only advertise for the septum and other places. Do you recommend this? I was pierced at 18G but these rings seem to be more commonly made at 16g and
Hopefully you see this and can answer it. I’ve been looking it up but nothing comes up. My tragus was pierced with the first curved small barbell you showed. Can I change to a labret or do I need to keep using the curved ones ?
I rather you go to the shop and get it repierced .. somebody came to me with the same problem so i had to repierce them .. dont try to stretch it yourself
I literally had my volume at 4, Then at 1, then decided it wasn't worth it because the VOLUME was Absolutely LOUD!! (At least for the first minute or so) 🤷♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
I work at Spencer's and idk anything about jewelry so thank GOD for this video

circular barbell (horseshoe) is mostly used on septum, but can also be used on earlobe, lip, helix, daith, nostril, etc.
lip, really?
@@Natasha-cb9pn i've seen it used in lip.
Nostril?

I had my lobes pierced with horseshoes in either 16 or 14 g. I did think it's fairly uncommon

@@ThePiercingOutlet Thanks. I'm rubbish as anything a bit fiddly anyway! Think I'll better wait.
Did you finally manage? Also check segment rings, these have a wider opening, so easier to insert.
I've had a captive bead ring in for years but the ball came off & I can't figure out how to get it back on. Do you have a video for that?
is a curved barbell okay for a 3 month old helix piercing? so far it has healed amazingly
Hey! can i pierce my earlobe with a barbell?
can i get my ear lobe pierced with sterling silver earrings?
Wouldn't recommend sterling silver to get pierced with. Gold or titanium is best.
Can I change my piercing earrings (I was pierced with a gun in the earlobe) to a labret?

Can show how to take ball out of full circle one

Try to twist it off while wearing gloves to prevent it from slipping. Or try twisting it off with pliers. Remember “righty-tighty, lefty-loosey”

Go see your piercer. (Jan Griffiths).
When they reopen, of course.
what size guage ring with a ball do i need for a forward helix?
Can i wear a labret inverted on a fresh piercing, like the flats on the front while the balls at the back of my cartilage?

how is it healing?
It’s healing pretty well it got infected a little
