    I have a mk25 evo paired with a 620 Ti second stage. Best regulator I have ever had, works great in cold water and offers consistent air. :)

    Mk19 all the way for cold water sidemount

    Still I dont know what to choose for cold water: Scubapro MK17evo or Aqualung Leg3nd... ?

    Damn... ive just got mk17evo... if i knew i would wait :D...
    Anyway.. i saw some poseidon regs hanging behind you in some of your videos if im not wrong... maybe you can make a video on poseidon regs or them as a brand in general and your oppinion on it because a lot of divers really love them and on another hand a lot of divers have no idea they exist... just an idea..

    • @SafeDiving

      Yeah, Poseidon's marketing team only seen to be interested in the Se7en. I've had a few Poseidon bits over the years and they're a good brand, just overpriced and reluctant to change or advertise anything other than their rebreather...

    The MK21 is a grossly underrated and under-marketed first stage. Top performance with very competitive price, unique in the market. Unbelievable set when combined with the C370 second stage.

    • @BurhanMuntasser
      @BurhanMuntasser 4 роки тому

      @@user-yu6ne6qb1c You can use the MK21/C370 with any Nitrox mix up to 40% O2 out of the box no problem. In fact, ALL of Scubapro's modern regulators can be used with up 40% O2 out of the box no issues at all (most of regulator manufactures in the world make their regulators so that they can be used with up to 40% O2 Nitrox out of the box these days).

    • @BurhanMuntasser

      @@user-yu6ne6qb1c BTW, you can order the MK21 with a 5th bottom port as an option so that you can have 5LP ports with one at the bottom for better hose routing.

    Does this basically mean an environmentally sealed MK25. Does that make it better. Which would you go for?

    • @SafeDiving
      @SafeDiving  4 роки тому +4

      Not quite, given the choice I'd still choose the Mk25. It's proven itself in the real world, the only downside is that you have to rinse it out a bit more thoroughly.
      But the Mk19 does muddy the water...

      Safe Diving I see. I run two MK25s and a H75-P (same thing), love em but I thought their only drawback was lack of sealing. It’s great to have this choice now 🤙🏼

    i got the mk17 evo, and i am looking for a 2. firststage for coldwater diving. Do you think the mk19 evo is better, or should i just stick with a second mk17?

    • @SafeDiving
      @SafeDiving  4 роки тому +2

      The Mk17 is a strong workhorse of a 1st stage. If you don't need the 5th port, or rotating turret, then I'd stick with another Mk17. You can double them up for twins.
      The Mk19 only seems available with the D420 at the moment, so I wouldn't go out of my way to track one down just yet.

      @@SafeDiving thank you! Also: Do you dive with 1 regulator on each first stage, or do you have 3 regulators in total?

    • @SafeDiving
      @SafeDiving  4 роки тому +2

      It depends, diving on a single tank, I'll have two 2nd stages off one 1st stage.
      Twins I have one 2nd stage off each 1st stage.
      And stage tanks only have one 2nd stage off the 1st stage.

    • @craigburles8225

      The 19 be a better sidemount reg as hose routing be perfect. I'd stick with a 17 for single and twinset though

    Does it convert to yoke?

      Yes, there will be a yoke / A-Clamp option

    Tbh i don't like Scubapro, since one detonated on me so i am not so keen to get their products, but the new one sounds quite good and less explosive 🤣💣

    • @SafeDiving
      @SafeDiving  4 роки тому +1

      Sounds exciting, but not in a good way... one to test your drills.
      I had a Hollis regulator slip an O-Ring inside the 1st stage once, luckily it was between dives.

      @@SafeDiving oh that's bad mine had micro fractures that lead to the explosion of the "head" of the regulator it was MK17/G260 💥🤣🤣 but i had worse dives so it's not a big deal, but it was nearly the most explosive one besides Scappa 🤣🤣🤣😉

    Interesting but I just bough an Mk25 evo

    • @SafeDiving
      @SafeDiving  4 роки тому +4

      Nothing wrong with the Mk25, it's a solid 1st stage, just give that mid-section a good rinse between dives.

    • @diveinstructordaniel1095

      Safe Diving can you maybe tell me what are the top 5 regulator systems available at the moment? 😊

    • @SafeDiving
      @SafeDiving  4 роки тому +2

      It depends, regs are a tool for a job so it depends on what the regs are for.
      General rec diving something like an Atomic T3.
      Cold water something like the Apeks MTX-R.
      It depends what they're for...

      Safe Diving I got an mk 25 evo with an a700 do you think it’s good enough for a few years as divemaster maybe a bit of teaching soon in coldwater ? Or should I sell it and get myself another reg?

    • @diveinstructordaniel1095
      @diveinstructordaniel1095 4 роки тому

      M thanks for your answer I actually have the g260 as Octo and A700 as main. I didn’t care if it’s crome or Carbon finish. The carbon finish would have cost me maybe 200€ more
