This song/edit used to just be a beautiful song for me to listen to which made me feel like I was going to the afterlife. On Dec 28th my dog passed away from heart cancer. This was the song that was playing as he was passing away, the second the song ended he passed away then afterward Shelter (Piano Version) started playing and it made me realize he was at peace. This song will always remind me of him.
You were the best dog. Meeting you at 7 years old and getting you was the happiest day of my life, you were by my side through everything. Even 2 years ago when I tried to commit suicide you woke me up after I passed out. You were there when I wrote my first song. You were there when I fell in love with Zelda and Half-Life. You were there for everything. Banks, I know you’re gone now but I know your soul is somewhere better. You will always live in my heart. I will never forget you. I hope we meet again someday my brother.

@Vexed Rappy daw proficiency really isn't all that relevant in this case, as there are plenty of tone-deaf people out there using daws. It has to do with the innate ability to recognise and understand melody without any sort of formal training, which is not by any means some sort of elitist thing, it just happens to be something some people are born with, whilst some are able to develop their understanding over time, and sadly there are those who are simply unable to ever truly understand music due to a genetic predisposition.

Those who read this who are feeling unpassionate about their work and are afraid to move on and continue that story, *push.on*. Its okay to be scared of whats to come.... just remember if you carefully sew the story you make, your bound for success and joy. If you go too quickly, it will all come undone

I cried (and still do) over this. It really helps me focus on my past and my inner problems better. I used this to help myself let go of the things I couldn't or the people I loved who left me behind too. It helps me connect with myself for a short period of time and get my thoughts scattered even more, just to get them sucked all back into one singular spot, but sorted better, sort of like an explosion or a supernova. Its almost as if I can edit every single thought inside my mind to partially remove the painful part about those memories. Call it what you want, but I call this music art, because it has a special effect on me.
