Okay, I just wanna drop in here and mention something: there are some videos of songs of mine on this channel with only a little over 100 views. A year ago, I was feeling happy to have hit 150 or so views on this video after 3 months. I have a singing channel with far more lifetime views than I do on this one, and I'm getting around 100 a day on like 40 videos combined if I'm lucky. In the last HOUR, this video earned 242 views. It's gotten 6,316 in the last 48 hours.
Y'all are blowing my mind. Thank you. I don't know what I did to deserve this, but thank you. :)

I've listened to a lot of songs, and some give my chills for the first time when I listen to them, I've listened to this song a multitude of times, drumming along with it, and every single time I hear it, it brings me the chills. Update on the 3rd mashup:
When I made this first mashup, it was built from my favorite elements of Porter's music. With the second mashup, I put All My Friends and Sad Machine together, and it fit perfectly. With this last one... it's been a bit tougher. It's hard to find inspiration, and a lot that I'm trying to do isn't working (outside of a cool little combo of the La Lune acapella with Only Way Out. I wanna fit that in somewhere).
Overall, these mashups are tough to do, particularly with limited resources (acapellas, instrumentals, etc.). That being said, I'm gonna take a bit more time with this final one. I want it to be as close to perfect as possible, even if it means delaying it slightly. If any of you have any ideas involving Porter/Madeon songs I haven't used yet, then feel free to drop them here... I'd love to hear from you all.

@@zaxtonhong3958 That's def a good song, but likely still sticking with Porter/Madeon stuff for this last one! Might at some point do some mashups with unrelated music, but we'll see. As far as an ETA... working on finishing up the first single of my album concurrently with the final mashup, and the single will probably go up first (fairly soon), followed by the mashup within the week of release. :)

Hey! How are you? So glad you're still enjoying this video.
The time spent working on these songs has been some of the most rewarding time of my life. Whether it's mashups or original songs, I've dedicated the last 5 years to doing as much as I can to make music that makes people wanna dance, cry, feel nostalgia or anything in between. But the unfortunate reality is that at this current point in my career, I can't afford to dedicate the time to keep making this music if there isn't anyone listening to it. The first Porter mashup has 1.7 million views, and the other mashups have over 20,000. I am so thankful to you all for it, but my original music has hardly been touched: outside of Sight Unseen (with 12,000 views), I don't have any original music that has managed to get more than about 1,000, with many of my most recent songs only averaging 100-200 or so. It's frustrating, because having a channel with nearly 3,000 subscribers, it's tough to have the only desired content be mixes of other artists that I can't even monetize personally.
My debut album, Chaos, came out almost a year ago. I dedicated over 2 years (and many sleepless nights) to putting together a huge, wide-reaching story for it to be built around, and the people that listened to it seemed to like it! Unfortunately, it had a shaky launch to begin with (including UA-cam murdering the audio quality on every song), and it basically went nearly unnoticed (although Spotify is a lot better - just saying). The same thing has happened with my more recent songs, with a demo called "f0nk" that I uploaded (with the cover art as a picture of a duck) getting a higher view rate than the eventual final song it was a demo of, even with heavy promotion for the song on every platform I could. It's incredibly disheartening to put so much effort into something only to have it basically be ignored entirely without it even being given a chance.
Now for my main point: I know this is a lot to ask, but if you're reading this.... would you mind checking out one of my three most recent songs? Even just taking one look at one of them... "Living in Color" and "Claustrophobic" are both much darker, dealing with tougher emotional intangibles, whereas "Tell Me Now" is just a fun bop. There's even a Madeon cover, if you wanna see that instead! You don't have to, of course... but I would so appreciate it if I could even have just this chance. It's on Spotify and UA-cam (amongst other platforms), so you have options. Maybe I'm looking for a sign, or maybe I just need encouragement - I'm not really sure. But it would help out so much, either way.
I'm so happy that so many of you have been touched or moved by my music (or interpretations of Porter and Madeon's music) over the years... I just ask that you help me out this one time. I really, truly love that I get to do this, and I don't wanna have to give it up.

For some reason this song listening to it the way its been put together gives a real different colour to each song, like separate these songs feel extremely different but together have an extremely warm tone to it and I really like the change of feel to it all, great job man
