You didn't sound too excited about this one boys. That's a pity because High West seems to have vanished in the U.K but I can still buy this. It costs £52 though so it's quite a lot more than you paid for it. I can buy plenty of very good whisky for that price. Do you think it's worth it? Cheers

Love what you guys are doing every episode! It was my birthday today so I went out and bought myself a bottle of Highland Park 12 (Viking Honour) and I am blown away by the balance between sweetness and smokiness! I dove right in with the peat with Laphroaig 10 Cask Strength (you and I have the same taste Bart) but the balance in the HP 12 has given me a whisky that I am going to have my friends try to hopefully convert them to peat. Cheers dummies!

Trouble is, I'm limiting my purchases to one bottle a week now... I need to save up in order to have some spending money for next year's trip to Scotland.
Seven months ago I watched this video and now I finally got around to buying a bottle so I am watching it again and comparing notes. Bourbinsane and I will be reviewing it live on Friday 3/8/2019... on a neck pour I wasn't real thrilled so I am hoping it opens up and improves before we review it together.
it gets better. Keep in mind its around $40 here.
Good stuff dummies. High West has very good products, but they tend to be more expensive, so when I got this one, it was a surprise. It's good!, much less rye than other High West products, but still good. Thanks a lot Scott, thanks a lot Bart, guys, you're the best!

Great episode, I've seen the American Prairie show up time to time at my Costco but never picked it up...I shall try it the next time it's there. Love the movie talk too...adds to the whimsy. Solo to date has grossed $379m worldwide, production and marketing cost was around $400m. Disney will also make a bunch of $$ through the DVD, Clothing, Toys, and related merch to Solo. But compared to other films like Infinity War (over $2b), Black Panther ($1.3B), and the Incredibles ($775m) the critics are calling it a loss. Seeing how all of them are Disney properties the real winner here is the Mouse and team!

A blend of MGP (6 year) and High rye (35%) Four Roses (10 year). Wish I could still get it in Ontario. I think I got the last 2 bottles that were available on clearance here a few years ago.

Excellent review... High West, Utah, Park City I think... (Bart mentioned maybe it was from Vermont... that where I am... whisky from Vermont: Whistlepig, but also one that I recently discovered that I really like: Smuggler's Notch Whisky - their Rye and their Bourbon is really interesting, and good I think).

For a future big deal shout-out: here's the story...
I'm going to research what's called "The Dean Scream." Our ex-governor let out a special loud 'yell' at the end of one of his speeches (a whack-a-doodle speech), back years ago when he was running for President... Maybe you remember the hub-bub... It was such a weird scream at the time that believe it or not, that one 'yeaaahh!' sound actually ended his career.
Governor Howard Dean... I was not for him at the time. I was for 'the other side' and when Dean wiped out his chances with that one scream... well that was incredibly memorable. Let's all do the "Dean Scream" ... YeaaaaAAA!
Bottom line: I'm going to find a UA-cam video of that scream, and I'm going to request that one some day. I'd have to earn that though. I'd have to send at least a couple of good bottles, or a major Patreon contribution or something like that.
