I’m a Liverpool fan but I do believe Arsenal is not as far away in terms of quality as the title suggests. They played better head to head than most of the teams including Real Madrid against us. Slot also set up the game plan really cautious and an away draw was considered a good result. Their set piece routine gave us quite some trouble in that match.
Also the fixtures to date haven’t been balanced. Of the top 12 teams, Liverpool have only played 3 away whereas Arsenal have played only 3 at home. Plus Salah generally drops off in the second half of the season. The big factor though is Saka missing for Arsenal
Arsenal are a way off I think. Liverpool front 3 is miles ahead. All 3 of Liverpool strikers are better than their direct comparison at arsenal. Salah is a fair bit ahead of Saka. Liverpool style of play is much better than Liverpool and the midfield is top notch. Rice isn’t much more than a 6/10 although odegaard is a class footballer. I think Liverpool have this to lose now

@ I’m not a Liverpool fan but thanks for assuming that. Salah gets injured they still have more than enough quality. Their front 3 is still just as effective as arsenal. Their whole team and their squad means they can lose a player or two and still be a force. Odegaard was out for 6 weeks and arsenal struggled. Saka is now out for months and you will see it. Arsenal are good. A very good side but they aren’t near Liverpool. I can see them losing 3 or more game now until the end of the season and drawing a couple. Liverpool aren’t losing 6-7 matches
If Liverpool win against Man Utd, Liverpool would need a partial collapse and Arsenal a Man City type run of 18 wins and 2 draws in 20 to take the title. Cannot see them doing that.
Man U isn’t the game. For me it is when they play forest away and Brentford away in the same week. If they win both of them they win the title. Man U game Liverpool should win comfortably. Too much of a gap in quality at the moment.
Exactly i say we will get 26 points from remaining 10 home games and 18 minimum from remaining 10 away games which gives us 89 points arsenal need 90 with our goal difference better so they need 18 wins or 17 wins and 3 draws which is not impossible but even prime man city would have found it difficult so no chance anymore and what arsenal r made of will be seen in next 2 away games bcos both r very difficult especially no saka

Arne was angry when Liverpool lost to Forest because at that time Forest were 10th and to cap it off,Arne Slot Liverpool's reign started in August so losing 1 match in 2024 isn't that a record
It's simple, Arsenal's attack is their weakest link atm, and now Saka is out, it becomes even worse... We need atleast a new striker and a LW/RW, because Martinelli and Havertz are just sh*t atm, those guys arent creative at all, and that becomes a problem when playing games against teams who defend too much... This January is very important, even if we lose the league, we can still fight for the UCL title
Arsenal are the 2nd best team atm, but momentum can change so easily and quickly in sport. I'm a Liverpool fan and want Liverpool to win, but anyone who keeps saying its over already is a fool
Arsenal have been going hard for over 2 years, a slight dip is perfectly plausible. They'll be fine in the long run as long as they keep building their squad
@@karanbhau you’re obviously a scouser. Liverpool and city got those points because you were far and away the best two teams only really losing to each other.
Opinions are free. Why is so hard to call? I actually think this is a better Arsenal team than last year. Other teams are better this year. Look at how much bunched up in the EPL table.
I think Arteta is having them play a few gears lower, like last year, to conserve energy and push for the title later in the season. Apart from Saka's injury, it's still the same team that was blowing teams out of the water with almost weekly 3- or 4-0 results now with an improved defense.
@@GaryJenkinson"If it's so clear, bet your house on it. I'm only saying that beating Liverpool in our next meeting and losing three fewer games isn't impossible. We could even see Chelsea pull off the same thing.
That's what I'm starting to think or at least what my mind is resorting to. In the second half of the season he changed it and then we staredd playing much better football similar to that of 2 seasons ago. But I remember we started off this way with boring-ish football but still find ourselves in and amongst the race. We do need to step up the pace soon though I would say.
Conserve energy and let a competitor 12 points ahead. Don't think it works like that! I'm sure Arteta wants to win every game now, not just the run-in.
@@GaryJenkinsonhold your horses my friend. Liverpool have a difficult last 5 games arguably and start the new year with a game against Man U (they’ll likely beat them), followed by Forest away and Brentford away in the same week. Forest have been brilliant and already beat Liverpool once at Anfield and Brentford have an insane home form this season. Salah is having his best season yet and would do extremely well to do better than he has done. All the other teams have had a partial bad run at some point, if Salah loses his form slightly or gets injured along with a defender, Liverpool will definitely drop much more points. Season is not done yet to write anyone off competing for the title.
I feel that this could be the start of the rise of ethan nwaneri. He's looked good when he's come on, now he's going to have to adapt quick as he'll be getting more game time. He might shine.

Has everybody forgotten how Liverpool totally fell away last year in February, March and April when they were in the title race ? And even Man u beat them in FA Cup ! And Liverpool have the same squad as last year with no new players....
I vividly remember my team (Liverpool) winning the league by matchday 30 in the 19/20 season Do you analysts hate Liverpool that much that you get the key statistics wrong for whatever reason? Everytime on ref watch these two clown sue smith and warnock always go against Liverpool when the decision were supposed to go in our favour so im not entirely surprised
There’s 60 points to play for. It is ludicrous to establish the winner by now. It will take one injury to a key player and a couple of defeats and everything will be questioned again. Is PL and not League 1 where PSG are 30 points clear at the table by December.
We really do need a clinical striker and winger honestly. But Trossard was so clutch last season and Odegaard contributed directly to goals and assists a lot 2 seasons ago. We need them both to step up and make stuff happen if we stand a chance of going on a run.
The issue this year with Arsenal and Man City is fatigue from the effort of the last 2 seasons and Euro’s wedged in between them. Injuries to both sides have occurred because of this fatigue. As good as Liverpool have been they have just hit a sweet spot season, where the other 2 contenders aren’t hitting their usual levels.
I've been doubting Arsenal's ability to finish higher than 3rd or 4th. The squad is just too short on real depth of quality, compared to their main competitors.
Arsenal are the only team looking sharp what do you watch, if they can beat Liverpool and Liverpool looses to man u then that's when u will start understanding the game
@@hezo2482 What have you been taking? Arsenal definitely cannot be honestly described as performing sharply. Liverpool, Forest, even Newcastle genuinely can be, right now. Arsenal’s best chance of winning the League was in 22/23. Yes I know they could have also won it in 23/24 but the season prior they had an eight point lead and could have stretched it to 11 if not for losing to relegation threatened Everton. IMO that was truly the year they should have won it.
Liverpool are just in a better shape to win the league than arsenal they've been competing for years with city and have players who have won with liverpool and are world class. Arsenal just don't have any of that. We're just gaining experience of how to compete with the best 2 teams in last 10 years. Just not quite there still. Didn't add enough quality in summer that we need. Liverpool are clear especially when it comes to consistency. Credit to them 👏🏾
Arsenal will hunt down Liverpool and. By the way we are 1 match away from first half of the season. That young lad in the show is a Liverpool fan anyways that's why he doesn't see Arsenal playing well and are now in second chasing down Liverpool pressure 😅
Yea please dont mention the fact ARSENAL lost a chunk of points in the 1st 4 games with back to back dubious RED cards 3 in total different games against Man city, Brighton and Bournemouth
Arsenal fan here: Liverpool ARE the best team right now. And deservedly so. Perfectly balanced team, experienced mature players that have a great understanding together. And play without fear and super confidence. Good on them.
Arsenal has hit their peak and are now on a downward trajectory. Similar to Manchester City, but with one key difference: Arsenal's peak failed to deliver titles and was short-lived, lasting only two years.
I don't think Arsenal buying anyone in January will make a difference. Nobody is catching Liverpool, unless there's a complete disaster. Realistic Arsenal fan here.
NOONE in Europe is close to Liverpool atm I can sympathise with Arteta - his Arsenal has been amazing and continuously improving in order to level with unbelievable Pep’s masterpiece of a team, but still coming short to claim #1 in the toughest league in the world And the season when MC finally crumbles and Arsenal could sweep the league, Arne Slot comes along and turbocharges the team Klopp has been building and rebuilding, years of hard work coming to a crescendo with a master tactician at the helm. And Salah in form of his life, simply unstoppable ,,, And magnificent Chiesa in reserves, being built up to fitness to add to attacking strength in spring when main squad will be in endurance mode And Arsenal yet again is resigned to fight for #2 at best ,,,
Liverpool have played at a consistent level pretty much all season, and have so many attacking options, that they always look likely to find a way to win games. Arsenal haven’t hit the same levels of last season, even though defensively, they look very solid. They’ve definitely played at too slow a tempo in too many games, and subsequently struggled to open teams up. Do I think Arsenal can win the league? Yes, but if you were to ask if I thought that they will, I would say in all honesty that it’s a big ask. I think Liverpool will drop points, but perhaps not enough to allow Arsenal to overhaul them.
Only 2 of Liverpool’s away fixtures have been against a top half side this season. 6 of Arsenals away fixtures have been against top half sides. I’m a Liverpool fan but people are completely missing context from the results so far this season. Liverpool have far more difficult away fixtures to come in the second half of the season, so don’t get carried away just yet
There's not enough variation, especially without Saka, who is probably the only player who might be considered unstoppable. Like they say, you might know what he is going to do next, but unable to stop him. Even with top quality midfielders in Rice and Odegaard, they appear to try the same things over and over again, just like the set pieces. Arteta seems to be devoid of new ideas and is almost as stubborn as his mentor.
You're simply not gonna get anyone good enough in the January transfer window to make that difference. It's too late by then. January is panic-buy season. Man City are gonna struggle even with _their_ money.
People really think that Arsenal are going to win virtually every game til the end of the season, including beating Liverpool at Anfield? I want some of what they’re smoking. I don’t care who they buy I’m January, it’s not happening. Now, they could make an FA cup push and a UCL push if they did so, but they’re out of the league and they’re probably out of the league cup at this point
@@iseeyou1492 idk about miles clear, it's a new manager in their first season who's had a really hot run of form to start the season, but anything can happen and they can easily capitulate and open it up for the other teams. If this City team can crumble, any team can.

So again it’s all you can do is hope we have an off few games, but the chances are you’re more likely to drop more points than us. Hope that clears everything.
blablabla best team by far in calendar year 2024. most goals. fewest conceded. most points. liverpool got completely dominated by arsenal when they faced each other. the arsenal hate is so ridiculous.
The difference between Arsenal and Liverpool this season is three or red card sending offs. Literally 7 points dropped in those games. But yes, Liverpool wins the eye-test.
Its funny because objectively speaking. Arsenal did have 4 ref decisions go against them that could of gone the other way. The 3 red cards were all controversial havertz last minute winner against Pool should of stood. Those decisions has had as much of a impact on their season as the underwhelming attack. Now saka probably out for the season. Its a tad unlucky
60 points left which means if each team win every game from now to May (which is impossible as they play eachother) means the best they can finish on is. Liverpool 105 Arsenal 96 Chelsea 95 City 91 I'd expect them all to drop at least 10 points to the end of the season (that's best case) so you'd say 87+ points wins you the league. That gives Liverpool an 18 point cushion at this moment. Arsenal haven't achieved 90 points for 20 years. Chelsea 10+ years. LFC achieved 90+ points three times since 2018.
Come on pundits Arsenal are running in a good form but suffered red cards and Captain Ødegaard injury then now chasing Liverpool ìn 2 position points and goals are not that much far 😅 Come on guys.
No one cares just like when we had loads of injuries last season towards the end and when we our top CBs and midfield in 2021. It's part and parcel of football. It's not like we've not been without Alisson, Trent, Konate and Jota for spells either.
Lazy punditry. You can't base your analysis on expectation of Liverpool to drop points. A wise and unbiased pundit looks at a number of factors to arrive at a prediction. The strength of the squad of a leading team determines how strong they could retain their position till the end of the season. Also the Chemistry amongst all players in the squad is a huge factor. Liverpool has all of these and gives them an edge over any other team. Whatever any team buys in January window is a panic buy. They rarely make significant impact in the team. The players a team like Arsenal may want to buy in the January definitely won't be available until summer. A Gyokeres, Mamoush, Isak, Jon Duran etc will not be available until Summer. Who can catch Liverpool don't have the liver this season.
PGMOL still have huge hand in this season ...i see mr Abu Dhabi himself Olivier in Chsrge of Sundays Liverpool United game at Anfield ..god only knows who City have organised to be in charge of VAR
The fixtures haven’t been balanced. Against the top 12 teams Liverpool have only played 3 away and the rest at home. Arsenal have only played 3 at home and the rest away.
These kids think just because arsenal don't take risks and act defensively they better than Liverpool 😭 they barely reached the quarter finals of UCL stfu 😭😭🤣
As Liverpool fans we need to win against United i know we are top of world but previous season we are going superb until draw against United collapse us
Nothing is wrong with Arsenal. Looking at premier league table, if they won their next game against Brentford, they'll go second. But nobody expect Liverpool in a good form this season. Last two seasons it was Man City toe to toe with Arsenal. I would rather saying, Man City is no where near to Arsenal. And now its not Man City but Liverpool.

@@amip8189nah I think (hopefully) we'll get around 95 + points because we still have 103 points to play for. We can draw 1 or 2 and lose 1 or 2 and still get over 90.
Stop overthinking lads, the league is still young..last season Liverpool were far ahead of Arsenal but after February,we all knew what happened...
at least 2 titles denied by dodgy decisions
just to let you other fans know, arne slot nly lost 1 competitve game in the calendar year of 2024, to a team currently second place behind his team in the hardest league itw.
You just have to respect it.
Arne was angry when Liverpool lost to Forest because at that time Forest were 10th and to cap it off,Arne Slot Liverpool's reign started in August so losing 1 match in 2024 isn't that a record
Arsenal lost 3 matches in 2024. What about that?
Slot has already lost only one less home league match than Klopp lost in his final 7 years (with fans in).
@NorthLondonForeverCOYG 2 More than Slot
@@benjamindadzie9657to cap what off ? Can’t you read ? He lost 1 game in 2024 , that’s with Feyenoord and Liverpool.
Last year arsenal were good with partey as def mid fielder and Saka and odegaard available. That heart of attack is broken this year .
84 and 89 points is going relentless???these are the total points teams get after a slump in form...
@@karanbhau you’re obviously a scouser. Liverpool and city got those points because you were far and away the best two teams only really losing to each other.

Sky sports pundits are terrible these days!!
They talk from their behinds most of the time
What would you say and why haven't they hired you instead?
They are biased
Opinions are free. Why is so hard to call? I actually think this is a better Arsenal team than last year. Other teams are better this year. Look at how much bunched up in the EPL table.
Mate this is how we want it Liverpool's to lose
I agree.
There winning thats the main thing atm and playing today a team what never beats them lets see how things go
I think Arteta is having them play a few gears lower, like last year, to conserve energy and push for the title later in the season. Apart from Saka's injury, it's still the same team that was blowing teams out of the water with almost weekly 3- or 4-0 results now with an improved defense.
And yet your 11 points adrift and Saka is out
You would need 4 world class signings in January
And that would upset things and backfire
Liverpools slump was when they drew back to back games against Fulham and Newcastle.
I feel that this could be the start of the rise of ethan nwaneri. He's looked good when he's come on, now he's going to have to adapt quick as he'll be getting more game time. He might shine.
Nwaneri and Myles have added depth to Arsenal
No other team has a salah, 20+ goals 20+assists consistant player. Credit to liverpool.
Also liverpool can score goals from open play comfortably

The title race is between Liverpool and VAR/PGMOL. Nobody else is involved. Certainly not a deluded Arteta creature....
Var have beaten Liverpool twice though already when they pocketed sheik money gifted city two titles by a point, but even var cannot stop Liverpool this season
Has everybody forgotten how Liverpool totally fell away last year in February, March and April when they were in the title race ?
And even Man u beat them in FA Cup !
And Liverpool have the same squad as last year with no new players....
Klopp announced he's going to resign early in January.
I vividly remember my team (Liverpool) winning the league by matchday 30 in the 19/20 season
Do you analysts hate Liverpool that much that you get the key statistics wrong for whatever reason?
Everytime on ref watch these two clown sue smith and warnock always go against Liverpool when the decision were supposed to go in our favour so im not entirely surprised
Warnock's coverage of games are trash 😂😂man I mute immediately I hear him on commentary
Arsenal have had not only frequent injuries, but injuries to key players. Liveprool and Chelsea haven’t lost any key players other than a goal keeper
And a striker and a central defender (Diogo Jota and Konate)
Beating Liverpool is not for everyone 😂😂😂
There’s 60 points to play for. It is ludicrous to establish the winner by now. It will take one injury to a key player and a couple of defeats and everything will be questioned again. Is PL and not League 1 where PSG are 30 points clear at the table by December.
What an age of football analysis we live in - I honestly wouldn't have a clue without the likes of Stephen Warnock and Michael Owen
Lol😂
Simple difference between us is attack. Liverpools attack is formidable whilst ours is ass. No Saka so now we’re doneee.
I still remember that lady giving predicitions before Arsenal Liverpool match.
Lady?
Troll you mean
Woke appointments the both of them😂
I've been doubting Arsenal's ability to finish higher than 3rd or 4th. The squad is just too short on real depth of quality, compared to their main competitors.
@@grantdixon230 You ppl always have something to say

@@hezo2482 What have you been taking? Arsenal definitely cannot be honestly described as performing sharply. Liverpool, Forest, even Newcastle genuinely can be, right now. Based on current form there is no chance Arsenal could beat Liverpool, and even less chance of Man Utd doing so. We'll see at the end of the season. LMAO.
Safety first approach from arsenal, it's to structured and rely way to much on set pieces...
Arsenal’s best chance of winning the League was in 22/23. Yes I know they could have also won it in 23/24 but the season prior they had an eight point lead and could have stretched it to 11 if not for losing to relegation threatened Everton. IMO that was truly the year they should have won it.
Not as good ? I fully disagree with him. Odegaard plays briliant, i enjoy watching Arsenal. But, they won't be able to catch up with Liverpool.
Arsenal an Arteta always makes me feel bad 😢
Consistency and also teams finding us out more!!
They just need a striker, if they can get Isak from Newcastle then they can be the best in the coming years
Jokers, after getting skanked by ref's for the first 10 games of the season were close enough that 9 points isn't alot
Depends on what "near" is. Is 9 points near?
Liverpool are just in a better shape to win the league than arsenal they've been competing for years with city and have players who have won with liverpool and are world class. Arsenal just don't have any of that. We're just gaining experience of how to compete with the best 2 teams in last 10 years. Just not quite there still. Didn't add enough quality in summer that we need. Liverpool are clear especially when it comes to consistency. Credit to them 👏🏾
Arsenal should've beaten Villa at the Emirates last season. Thata loss will forever haunt Arsenal fans.

Yea please dont mention the fact ARSENAL lost a chunk of points in the 1st 4 games with back to back dubious RED cards 3 in total different games against Man city, Brighton and Bournemouth

They said we weren’t as good as we were 2023/24 compared to 2022/23 and we finished with better stats. Wait till the end of the season.
Arsenal has hit their peak and are now on a downward trajectory. Similar to Manchester City, but with one key difference: Arsenal's peak failed to deliver titles and was short-lived, lasting only two years.
I agree. 8 wins and 2 draws out of 10. Downward trajectory indeed! Extremely aged squad as well! 3 losses the whole year. So poor.

NOONE in Europe is close to Liverpool atm
I can sympathise with Arteta - his Arsenal has been amazing and continuously improving in order to level with unbelievable Pep’s masterpiece of a team, but still coming short to claim #1 in the toughest league in the world
And the season when MC finally crumbles and Arsenal could sweep the league, Arne Slot comes along and turbocharges the team Klopp has been building and rebuilding, years of hard work coming to a crescendo with a master tactician at the helm. And Salah in form of his life, simply unstoppable ,,, And magnificent Chiesa in reserves, being built up to fitness to add to attacking strength in spring when main squad will be in endurance mode
And Arsenal yet again is resigned to fight for #2 at best ,,,
If we get wins at forest and Brentford it’s in the bag, these 2 games for me make or break the title race.
I don't think we're there yet
She spoke absolute waffle in her beginning statement…”basically they can be good and they can be bad …? “
The most arbitrary statement….
According to the lady, Arsenal have the know how of the past 2 seasons. To be 2nd. Great take
There's not enough variation, especially without Saka, who is probably the only player who might be considered unstoppable.
Arsenal have been good
You don‘t wanna lose one of your best players OH REALLY
People really think that Arsenal are going to win virtually every game til the end of the season, including beating Liverpool at Anfield? I want some of what they’re smoking. I don’t care who they buy I’m January, it’s not happening. Now, they could make an FA cup push and a UCL push if they did so, but they’re out of the league and they’re probably out of the league cup at this point

It baffles me that this guys are not putting into consideration the early, silly red cards to Arsenal players which cost them points.

If it was City behind us with 9 points, then it would be a different matter than Chelsea or Arsenal.
Change the first two words around and replace the question mark with an explanation mark, then you get an accurate statement.
It’s the difference in how they approach and play the game. Liverpool are a cut above Arsenal.

liverpool got completely dominated by arsenal when they faced each other. the arsenal hate is so ridiculous.
The difference between Arsenal and Liverpool this season is three or red card sending offs. Literally 7 points dropped in those games. But yes, Liverpool wins the eye-test.
You right they no where near last season.
I am arsenal fan you are 💯 % right
Its funny because objectively speaking.
It's always weird when it comes to Arsenal commentary. " the team is doing well but not well enough " some next level BS.
yes we are no where near liverpool,

60 points left which means if each team win every game from now to May (which is impossible as they play eachother) means the best they can finish on is.
Liverpool 105
Arsenal 96
Chelsea 95
City 91
I'd expect them all to drop at least 10 points to the end of the season (that's best case) so you'd say
87+ points wins you the league.
Liverpool have the title already, I don’t see them dropping points besides no team is anywhere near the level they are playing at the moment.
Same guy said City will win the league how is the league already won in December it’s baffling
The disrespect to Liverpool. Arsenal's best chance my ass. Let them beat Brentford and Brighton first.
We needed to sign a Striker, it was clear to everyone. Arteta out
We will be out of the title race by the end of this month. Four front 3 are midtable players

You're right, they are absolutely nowhere close to Liverpool's level. In fact they don't even qualify to clean Liverpool players' shoes 😂😂
Why haven’t they beaten them in the league for almost three years then?
And Liverpool still couldn't defeat a depleted Arsenal team 2 months ago. A team with no Saliba, Calofiori, Odegaard, even with injured Gabriel 😂😂

What type of headline is this???
Nothing is wrong with Arsenal. Looking at premier league table, if they won their next game against Brentford, they'll go second. But nobody expect Liverpool in a good form this season. Last two seasons it was Man City toe to toe with Arsenal. I would rather saying, Man City is no where near to Arsenal. And now its not Man City but Liverpool.
When was the last time Arsenal won at Anfield that they do this liverpool team?
As an Arsenal fun, surely defensively and in midfield we're well but going forward we're surely nowhere to Liverpool.
