    Lol Nothing ever works like it's supposed to when you're trying to get it on video.

    I know that you put less AgNO3 into it for safety reasons, but with a bit more you get it more sensitive to water.

    Cool! If a little terrifying!

    PLEASE Don't do the shot where you do a side view of looking at a camera, it's naff, and a shot that just about every youtube tries, and gets hundreds of people saying "Please don't" it totally breaks the 4th wall, and makes us sad.. Fanx.. (rest of the video was great (content-wise).

    Well, now i know what's in chemical X...
    But what I don't know, is why those chemicals mixed together when combined with sugar, spice, and everything nice, make preteen girls with super powers....

    I’ll never forget in tenth grade chemistry, my teacher dropped a centimeter cube of solid potassium into a glass dish filled w water and it exploded breaking the whole dish. Truly amazing!

    Makes me a little nervous to see you use the same spoon when mixing different chemicals. Perhaps show the cleaning process, or replacement of the spoon

    Makes me think someone need to make fireworks that you can throw into a lake or large pond. Be a bit of a trick figuring out the safety and pollution aspects, but might make for some really interesting displays.

    The slow mo of the magnesium and silver nitrate was quite mesmerizing, cool spectrums of light coming off, especially when slow enough and filtered as to not blind!

    Is it stuff like this that is in flash-bang grenades?

    • @chemistryofquestionablequa6252
      @chemistryofquestionablequa6252 3 роки тому +1

      Flash bang grenades use a potassium perchlorate and aluminium flash powder.

      Also worth noting that there are many different brands of NFDs, using many different compounds.

      But seriously , I was 'playing' with sugar and potassium permanganate trying to make a solid rocket fuel and had the bright idea of using hot water to make a paste, interesting result!

    Is he..
    Is he having energetic material combust freely on his workspace with FULL containers of the same material lying less than three feet away?
    I'm no chemist, but YIKES. That looks like something you'd lose your spot at the energetics lab for
