This is a 4.5km looping trail great for a morning or afternoon visit to Royal National Park. The loop starts on Sir Bertram Stevens Drive where a small car park is located. Part of the Lady Carrington Drive path completes the full loop (see map linked below for our route).
This is a beautiful, relaxing walk through the forest. It has some steps but for the most part has minimal elevation change so could be suitable for families. The scenery is lush and green with cabbage palms spread throughout the forest. Most of the hiking trail runs along Bola Creek and Hacking River. We also spotted a Sydney Spiny Crayfish in the river whilst eating lunch.
Be careful in summer months when Cicadas are present. Together, they are VERY loud. We were recording 80+ decibels along 75% of the track. It was very irritating to the ears (and potentially damaging). Spring or Autumn would be much better times to visit this one.
    Enjoy the footage!
