The Grand Canyon Hike, Blue Mountains NSW Australia - The ultimate bucket list Blue Mountains hike!

- Опубліковано 3 жов 2024
- This is one of the most popular hikes in the Blue Mountains and for good reason, it is spectacular.
There had been quite a wet few days leading up to this hike but the day of the hike, the sun came out. We had plans to go canyoning but the weather forecast had turned us off so instead, we revisited a favourite walk of ours.
The Grand Canyon is a loop hike that takes about 3 - 4 h to complete. You start from Evans Lookout carpark and follow the well marked trail past many waterfalls, cliff overhangs, deep canyons and even a cave that you have to walk through. It is lush and beautiful!
We got absolutely drenched on this hike due to the recent rainfalls, there was much more water running through the canyon than there usually is but honestly, this just made the walk a whole lot more fun.
If you haven't done this walk, you should absolutely be adding it to your bucket list!

It was really beautiful, this was actually in January so I'm not too sure how the track condition would be at the moment, I really hope its not too damaged because its just stunning.

It’s such a fun and easy hike. The Blue Mountains never disappoint. So beautiful there. Thank you for watching ❤️❤️
I also made a video of this walk around 9 months ago. One of my favourites. So many things to see . Those steps at the end were killers.. (I also picked up a knee injury along the walk that didn't help) Great video guys.

What a stunning walk. How slippery was it with so much water around? Might have to add this to my list.
It actually wasn’t slippery at all surprisingly. You should absolutely add it to the list, it’s a cracker! Thank you for watching ❤️
@@Vinceventuring Cheers. Im hoping to spend a week or so down that way early next month so see how I got.
@@OnCountryWithMick I hope the damage from all the recent rain isn’t too bad and you get to go on some epic adventures
@@Vinceventuring I hope so to. We did Newnes before Xmas but only got to do the Ruins walk (Video out next Wednesday). The place was so stunning. I do enjoy a good walk but also love my camping etc as can be seen on my channel. I have a mate in Penrith that loves walks around the mountains as well so might see if he wants to tag along.
@@OnCountryWithMick we haven’t done Newnes yet but are dying to go sometime soon. Can’t wait to pick up some tips in your video!
How stunning is this place! Whats the best time to do these walks? I hate the cold lol. 🥶 looks so beautiful.
It’s a stunner isn’t it. We like to walk earlier in the morning as the walks are always a little less busy, generally we start most walks around 8am.
Hi there. What month did you do this hike? We are thinking about it for September.
This was in Jan but honestly its great all year round, we have done it in every season and its always spectacular
This is a rainforest so rain is normal
Adds to the beauty of it
Any leeches?
None at all. Done about 100 hikes here and only had them once!
would you say its a hard walk for someone that's a beginner/ intermediate?
This is overall a quite easy walk. I have seen all ages complete it. The only tough part is the climb out, lots of steps but very doable if you just take your time and have lots of breaks. Bring some water and some snacks and pace yourself, plenty to look at anyway so patching yourself is a good thing. ❤️
Good afternoon from PAPUA NEW GUINEA.
Hello! Thank you for watching ❤️
