I have had my XT6 since August this year. Have done nearly 1000km. It is a good bike but has a couple of problems. 1. The suspension front and rear is crap. Going over bumpy ground shakes the sh.t out of you. 2. I replaced the Tektro brakes for 4 piston Tektro and what a difference. It stops on a penny. I have the 13AH spare battery, and with PAS on 3-4 I can get approx 90 km total using both batteries. Overall I am very happy with the bike. Just need to fix the suspension, which I am going to do.
I like that I can see that you are pedaling. Most videos about ebikes that I've watched do not show that, so it's hard to get an idea of the assist to speed ratio in comparison to the effort put forth. Thanks.
Not bad mate , I thought you were going to drop it at the rubbish pile when you got home ,headed straight for it and then turned 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I got one of the 26 ones it's a beauty but I'm going to adjust the pedal assist, but I bought a raptor escooter and I just forgot about the bike cause it's heaps of fun, watching your video made me see what I forgot 🤣🤣🤣👍😃
Ive done 4100km on the Mx7 in 1 year. Everything working fine;battery ,motor etc. Only had 2 problems .the brakes it came with were absolute garbage.some hydraulic hybrid with cable and with pads so bad it felt greased..they leaked hydraulic fluid when I went to change the pathetic pads and were ruined.Had to change them and bought shimano mechanical disc brakes for $42 each not bad and they work really well with the disc and cables that the bike came with. another problem is the damn chain coming off too often when you go over a jump or gutter. cheap shit from china but gears are shimano and everything else is going well.Just tweaked it to get both better acceleration and speed. Was amazed that the extra power didn't affect the battery range much at all. I guess the extra momentum cancels out some of the lost battery power.
@@lfchop1157 Hi. Do you have the same chain issue? If so it could be too much lube on the chain. but you can put a chain guard on the front sprocket to prevent it slipping off the front sprocket. It's not a really big problem if if comes off.Just grab the top of the chain and put it on the top of the front sprocket. lift the rear wheel off the ground and turn the pedal forward and good to go in a few seconds with grease on your hands lol. The rear hub motor has the advantage of reducing wear and tear on the chain and sprockets so at least you know the chances of a chain breaking on this bike is very minimal compared to a crank motor E-MtB which is the opposite in that it puts much more pressure on the chain. Crank motors are much better for steep hills but atleast the Valk hub motor has a walk mode (press the bottom button for a few seconds to activate) and it makes it easy if you have to get off and walk up a ridiculously steep hill. Its fine for 20km offroad. The heavy weight of 24kg is good for downhill and grip and momentum. Tight track sections are more of a challenge on this bike but doable. Its not very nimble at 24kg but its more stable than nimble.Ive done some big offroad jumps with it at + 40km/h and it flys quite well as heavy bikes tend to do. I like to reduce the rear tyre pressure to about 40psi off road to get more shock absorbtion and save the rear spokes.Have fun
Great Video I've done about 1.800+km on the Valk MX9 and I've been happy with its performance so far happy riding (Oh and Valk have a 13Ah 36V Battery option if your willing to pay the money)
Hi would you recommend this bike for rough dirt roads ? Pot holes and Rocky road ? Was considering buying one to take me out bush ? But reading reviews of chain jumping off issues and loose cabling. What's your thoughts
Your bike came with a link to watch online tutorials. You can go threw your settings and adjust to suite your needs. I have my throttle on zero peddle assist. You can set it to work when peddle assist is on.
@@jugomister1 the thing is I'm not the original owner / 1st owner I'm the second owner no link? Like I'm asking is there a button you need to press for throttle ?
If you want it to push you along while you sit and enjoy,it Will do that. If you want to lazily peddle while the motor assists you? It will do that to. And if you want to ride the bike under your own power alone, it can do that to. I think its a great bike for its price range 👍
Good video and commentary - but, you're not a big fan of the bike lane, are you. I think you need to focus a little more on riding and consider your fellow motorists.
Good video thank you for taking the time to make it especially for all the new buyers of e-bikes I know I'm still in the shadow about it😊

Got the 2024 model great unit if anyone wants an updated review I'll be doing one shortly .
Thanks for the vid. So how many k's was the ride and how much battery was used? Would you recommend?
Have you managed to unlock the speed limit from 25klm

Hi , reading your review and wondering if this bike is suitable for a 20 km off road Misson. Considering your chain issues. ? That's sounds worrying

Thanks for the feedback. I haven't yet purchased the bike ,but was planning a trip . Sound like you have the right idea about chain guard.
hi, david I just bought an mx7 - you are right brakes a pretty average! can you send me the link to the shimano brakes you purchased? thanks mate ! :)
Also how did you tweak the acceleration to get more speed?

can you tell me where you bought your bike from and with the extra battery option how far can you ride for in kilometers
1800 ks on my mx9 now, loving the bike.

Thanks mate bought a similar E bike from mytopia yesterday can't wait to set it up and ride it.
What did you get?

Where’s the video on the electric Tricycle??
What is the range? Charging time?
Can you use it like a motor bike so u just hold the throttle and move with out pedaling or no
Yes you can
Nice
Nice one, is doesnt seem like its restricted, is it still giving power at 32kmh? do you know if there is anyway in the settings to crank it up?
there is a setting that you can adjust the speed from 0 - 100 kph. but it won't go past the factory 25 kph
Hey mate, awesome video. What store did you buy it from? I have been looking for a black mx7 but they all seem to be sold out.
Mytopia.com.au. they are sydney based. Under $1200. I think its a great bike. Considering the price
@Andrew Romero they only have white are red left in stock
Good review thanks. How do you recharge it? Detach battery or direct plug in?
Battery comes out. Can be recharged attached or off. You can also ride it without the battery.
@@jugomister1 thanks!
@@jugomister1 hi can you recharge the battery while riding if you are getting low and how heavy is it, where did you buy yours from
When you buy from mytopia, does it include the charger?
Yes
@@jugomister1 ok thanks, I just thought it didn’t because it didn’t say that was included in the box in the description.
Don't buy this bike

Hi team , is this a rear hub motor or crank motor...
Rear
Is it a heavy bike to ride when it's without the battery?
As heavy as a standard bike
Hows the build quality of it like I'm looking to get one for about 1100au very tempted as I hate riding up hills and my mates are faster.
Its only 300 w motor. Guys on racers pass me like im walking. Gear ratio is not the best. But i love it. For me its a cruse to the beach and back.
Does anyone know why my throttle doesn’t work

To be honest. Haven't put many ks on it. But very happy with it 👌
Does the bike have a throttle or just pedal assist?
Has both 👍

How did you go 51km on the valk e bike. The maximum I can go is 32 km lol lol.
On its own power you will only do 25kph
Must be a bug in the software - the LCD is showing 31 km/h
Mine broke in a week literally just stopped working while riding
Did you find out what went wrong ?
Hey mate I got the same today how do you turn it on
Hold down middle button

Ironic. I think you're meaning the bit about 4:00? There were two cars parked IN the bike lane. Respect is apparently a one way street.
