I was born at this hospital. Anyone who comes to this site now will find a dirt lot blanketed in metal rods and wiring. So glad I found this video. Everytime I drive by or go down Grand I regret never exploring it before demolition. At least I get to see some of it, haha. Brought back some memories from being a kid in here.
Thank-you so much for this video! I was a candy-striper (teen volunteer program) at this hospital from 1976 thru 1977 and went on to become a nurse after high-school. I was so sad to hear that it was going to be demolished but I guess all good things must come to an end. I appreciate seeing Palomar one last time!
I was a flight nurse with Mercy Air helicopter 15 years ago and flew patients into that helipad there to the trauma center. It was a good hospital back then with great staff. The rooms overlooking the helipad that you were in were the ICU cubicles .
Ehh what a legend bro your one person I can watch for ages your so chill and calming,.what an awesome last walk through I've never gotten to explore anything like this..I once did a old people care home kinda,.but in New Zealand it's super super hard to get into anything decent like this... for me anyways.. thanks for the epic explore have a an amazing rest of your week
If you ever come to the states you should totally go check out a few abandoned hospitals out here theres some really cool ones that havent been demolished Theyre super scary sometimes and unhealthy to be in but with a mask and a friend it can be a lot of fun too. Appreciate all the kind words bro 🙌🏻🙏🏻
Thats awesome!! Thats partly why i love posting these types of videos hearing peoples stories or experiences with these spots before their abandonment. Thanks for the comment!
Ah bummer! Thats really awesome you were born there there must be a trip to see the inside of the hospital the way it is in this video. I didnt actually think anyone watching would have been born there!
I spent 2 weeks there in the 80s after a motorcycle accident and my wife had our daughter there in 2012. I am new to exploring and I presently live in San Diego. Can you please contact me directly? I am curious of places to explore in and around San Diego. I have done the old Escondido Country Club and many of the old dairy sites around the Elfin Forest. I am ISO abandoned places close to home. Please contact me.
I totally agree. Im not the biggest fan of exploring them since they can be full of gross contaminants. But the pictures and video come out great usually

My grandpa went there. He died back in January. I miss him so much
I was born there in 1989, and my first son was born there in 2013. RIP Palomar Hospital.
11:30 if the door had a warning about metal objects, it was an MRI room, if it had warnings about radiation, it was a cat scan room.
Wow dude thx for the news, my dad was staying across the street, I saw his apartment when you looked outside. I would drive by a lot. Cool video
