Seeing all these Kershaws on the table today was amazing... I recently found my old Junkyard Dog while cleaning my garage. It was one of the first decent non gas station knives that I got and it still has a good feel to it.
Not sure why but I watch your videos at night before bed. Your voice , demeanor and the way you present is very peaceful and calming. Appreciate you man keep up the good presos
This is by far my favorite video series. No in-depth reviews, no testing, just simply showing us the goods and features. And, by the by, I think the Kihon DC looks like a plus-sized SOG Terminus XR.
I'm so happy Kershaw decided to release the Launch 16 in a non-serrated version. M4 is a rather odd choice in steel for a button lock auto, but is definitely appreciated over many of the cheaper steels they could have chosen.
That Toor dagger sold out on their website within minutes when it was released. I was late to the party and didn't get one, and I gave up the notion I'd ever get one. I thought it was a limited edition and they were only sold through the Toor website. I had no idea that some were released to retailers... until I got home last night an saw this video while I was relaxing after work! I immediately jumped up and yelled, "No way!" I jumped online and got the second to last one! I am beyond stoked to be able to get this knife from Knife Center -- and on top of that, I redeemed my points and got $50 off! 👍👍👍👍👍
I'm very happy that Boker decided to add a reversible clip to the kihon DC. It's nice to see them respond to feedback, and it's a pretty rare feature for Burnley designs.
DCA, you are a master of euphemisms! I love your “high adrenaline situation “ which is perfect for “impending knife fight”. Your term should be institutionalized with the acronym “HAS” and become standard in knife parlance. Take a bow!
Dr. Mr. David C. Anderson, Would you all please be so kind as to do a video on knives that are 1) good for large hands, and more importantly, 2) easy to manipulate if you have arthritis. My father has carried a Buck 112 (no nail nick!) since his time in the army in the 70s, but arthritis has made it more difficult to use of late. Bonus points for made-in-USA. Love the channel, thank you!
A Zero Tolerance was my first nice knife I ever bought, I loved how rugged and overbuilt it was. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of the direction they took and wish they'd offer more models under 200 including some smaller fixed blades.
@@banditone00I hear this sentiment a lot these days. And I get where it's coming from but I'd like to ask the question: is that such a bad thing? To me, ZT and Kershaw are the same company. The best employees of Kershaw work on the ZT line. A lot of if not all of the USA made Kershaws are made in the same factory by the same people as ZT especially the higher end ones. They are also quite literally designed by the same team of designers and engineers. I personally have no problem with Kershaw becoming a more of what ZT used to be, that is higher end working man's knives made in America. And ZT becoming more boutique/classier American made EDC stuff so long as the designs remain distinctly Kershaw/ZT which they have. It may not seem that way because ZT has released fewer products but it definitely looks that way if you look at Kershaw's USA made knives from the last 5-10 years especially their OTFs, autos, and balisongs.
I also loved the early ZT days. It's kind of rare they offer something I really want these days, but I've been wanting a new gentleman's blade and this one looks like a good candidate.
Those budget-friendly options look pretty sweet. Heading over to update the wishlist, aaaand I may have to slip one of those QSP Canaries into my cart before I leave...
Happy to see new Zero Tolerance knives. With the Ultern handle on the Towser, it's a shame they couldn't find a way to expose a view of its crazy pivot system.
I definitely wish that ultem could have been a translucent blue. Not a big fan of the yellow. Oh and Thomas- you nailed it with the failure to launch comment. That was absolutely perfect!
Personally, I'd appreciate a heads up when you get in new actual left handed knives. I've picked a couple up from you all, but it's an issue of checking the web site from time to time to see if you have new ones in.
I wonder why ZT hasn't been putting out much for the last few years??? They could absolutely crush it if they'd bring back the big beefy style folders (and some along the lines of the ZT0545) that they were known for. Their Made In the USA Kershaws have been much more impressive than anything ZT has put out. Otherwise, another awesome line-up this week. Great job DCA and Thomas.
It seems like the American made line of kershaw is getting all of the love from KAI. While I appreciate that, I’d like to see ZT come back to its former glory. I still love my old 0200, and wish they would bring back the 0300 and the 0620.
I hope more stuff goes on sale for Black Friday. I really wanted one of those SOG one-zero XR’s but I’m sure as hell not gonna pay $300. Also wanna try the Böker Canoe full titanium. All the knives I want are too expensive😭
How come in the beginning the QS P canary sitting on the table was yellow and then all of a sudden it was the blue one? I was more interested in the yellow one and then I waited the whole video until the yellow one and it turned blue😂
Never looked much towards ZT I have a lot of respect towards the history and the overbuilt coolness, just not my style THIS new one is more my speed. Gotta say, ZT or whatever, it's one of the sweetest new edc knives I've seen here lately, period. wish I wasn't broke 😂
With Zt newest knife there at the beginning is making me think they may be going the way of benchmade pricing….. if so I hope they both eventually disappear.
I don't own any ultem but I'm interested in it. I won't buy any until the price goes down. It's fancy plastic and should carry a cost comparable to micarta, not zirconium
There are at least 6 Kershaw knives that I would already own if they didn't have billboarding on their pocket clips. I give you $ for a knife, you do not pay me to advertise for you.
@@hazardousmatter2 Each formula has it's own patent but yes, ultimately Crucible Industries. Sad because Larrin Thomas has a superior composition and Crucible is botching it up.
@@JohnDoe-zb7dzwhere are you getting the info about crucible having production issues? I haven’t seen anything yet. I have seen issues brought up regarding how companies are heat treating the steel in ways that produce qualities that are below the steel’s capabilities.
COMPANIES SHOULD PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO KERSHAW’s BEAUTIFULLY EXECUTED PLUNGE & SHARPENING CHOIL’S….. LIKE SERIOUSLY, BRAVO!!! This detail alone implores me to at least pick up several of the options which were shown. If more companies followed this simple and essential detail, I would guaranty your sales would only increase. There are so many people who sharpen their knives nowadays. With a well executed plunge & sharpening choil people want to be able to sharpen as much steel as the design permits especially when your over $100, keeping the edge just as thin as it was from the factory for the life of the knife and not running into a poor plunge giving your blade a smile that isn’t so pretty in the knife world, yet there is nothing more irritating & lazy than a sh#tty plunge/sharpening choil in which your running into the plunge on your first or even second sharpening. It’s inexcusable in 2023, so if Kershaw can accomplish this so can anyone else. Just saying… ❤❤🤙🗡️🔪

All over the MKM, I think it’s time to get an Italian knife. I love the profile, and that pocket sheath is fantastic!
That, and a new ZT!
Just got the Launch 16 plain edge today ordered it Tuesday very fast delivery, what a great knife!

That Boker reminds me of some of the newer Kershaws with the cross bar locks. Very nice in my opinion 😉
That neon green and black QSP is 🔥🔥🔥
"Failure to launch" ... best Thomas remark yet!
MKM Terzuola TPF Defense and Boker Kihon DC are the two knives here that I would like to have. Very nice.
Always cool to see non-steel blade materials in knives!
I do like Ultem. Reminds me of a lamp my parents had when I was a kid
Arbiter looks like an organ shredder.
Arbiter - a person who settles a dispute or has ultimate authority in a matter.
that launch 18 is a win
MKM, we NEED a kydex holster for the TPF
I like that kizer made a knife that is very similar in blade style to the Huntsman but much less expensive variant. Both are awesome!
I love how the kihon dc isn't available in germany before December from boker

That Terrain ATB Looks outstanding 🤩👌
I love Kershaw , cool video Dave .
How well does ultem age? Will it get a lot of scratches and become opaque or does it resist scratching pretty well?
That Terrain365 is absolutely gorgeous.
G'day DCA & Thomas. The Kizer Tosser caught our eyes. Cool looking but with attitude. Cheers gentlemen from Australia.

Since kershaw has been doing a lot of American built knives with with premium steel, ZT has been wasting away.

Can we see Thomas' Bugout again? that's a nice config.
Curious to see how well Ultem holds up over time. Does it scratch easily or is there any fading associated with it ?
Few really nice knives in there.

Blade shape on the ZT 0544 and Launch 18 are identical.
I really want one of the Towsers, but I think I will wait until they come out with the button lock version.
Good job Thomas 👏
What adult doesn’t drink wine? It’s friggin awesome. Great vid mates.
Happy Thursday knife people!!
Wish QSP would have put the cool "rope" jimping from the fixed Canary on the folder. If they had, it'd been a done deal for me.
regarding the TPF, what does under the scales look like?
Lots of cool stuff thanks David
Some bangers here tonight ladies and fellas 🙌🏻
Those campo tools very nice! I definitely want to add one to my collection
Killing it David and Thomas as always
No Boker Kihon’s available??
I like that Superlativ. It’s like knife companies are trying to confuse law makers. It’s technically non locking and two handed opening.
Prime time, DCA is back! 👌🤠
Sorry one more comment. Isn't terravantium the stuff the put up in wolverine?
Wish ZT would make a crossbar lock knife. The Kershaw Bel Air is awesome with ZT would make something similar to throw us lefties a bone.
campo means.. country field in spanish... campo is also for camp...
Super interested in the MKM
Honey oat micarta sounds like a granola bar

The Kydex Sheath does not fit any MKM TPF Defense Micarta version (very loose fit rattle)... simply a different sized handle... mine is going back!
New knives time *YES*
Ultem handles make every knife look like a prize at a county fair ring toss. Just needs a guy with a pony tail in his 50s smoking a cigarette.

Hello. Is there Buck 537 or Buck 547? What is the price? Is it possible to send it to Turkey? Enjoy your work
this was a good one!
Oh maaaaaaaan, that TPF ticks all the boxes for me. Promised myself I wouldn't buy any more knives this year, but dang.
Ambi sheath, Magnacut, Terzuola, Maniago quality. Come on!
Kizer Gryphon looks interesting
Is the Campo gonna come in magnacut?
That ZT in magnacut 😮 I don’t have a ZT yet either…. 🤔
Anyone else notice the Canary changed colour???😊
I think the clear scales "can't remember the name" would look better in a lite blue or yellow. Dunno if that's possible just thinking

love those swiss army knock offs. Wonder if anyone else makes anything like them.
Ruike, Boker and Swiza all make some.
Gryphon..... Persian lite reverse tanto. I'll bet somebody on set will agree

It was $200 at multiple retailers for a long while after it was released. Now it's $209.
Kihon, Canary and the Gryphon look intriguing. And can we dispense with the recycled medicine bottle handles? 😁
look how thick those mkms are be like a little brick in your pocket
Man the boker is sweet. Like the ZT too
Launch 16 has BDE
Never seen a ZT that I couldn't get an equivalent of for a hundred bucks less. Lol

The "ultem" looks susceptible to marring and scratches, and by the looks of it, slippery AF. I like how it looks tho.
