This! And that's for soo many things on UA-cam too! Like why can't we know the measurements and specs? It's like they don't want us to actually try to attempt it 😅
I was hoping you'd show exactly how to add the grip strip to the frame. Does it go on the outside top and sides of the frame or the inside of the top and side, like facing you?
At the bottom, how was it to pull your monks cloth onto the frame because it seems like it would be a little difficult to get around the brackets to get it tight in that area
The carpet tacks they hammered in at the end have tiny nails that’s stick out. You just attach the cloth to the nails and gradually work all 4 sides to make it tighter
How do u keep the yarn from getting tangled in the gun because I can't figure out how to feed the yarn smoothly and a lot of times it either comes off because the yarn gets a little stuck or it gets tangled in the gun if I'm not paying attention to it
Great idea I’m a stair carpenter apprentice and only ever built a few things with my knowledge but my friend wants me to build one of these very good video 👍🏾
I JUST made this frame following your design but I found that my monks cloth is just ever so slightly too short, what size cloth do you guys order for this frame?
Glad we could help you make a frame! We order a super large monks cloth on amazon- you can find the one we use on our amazon storefront linked in the description! Not 100% sure of the dimensions but its up there!
I like how you started out give directions but when you finished the frame you did not show how you attached the tack straps. Example: you showed the finished frame, then showed the two of you on the floor during something, then showing where you had attached a board for thread or something. You both started out great, then it became confusing. Please review because I'm not complaining, at a point I became confused. Much success!
I’m a taller person and I’m concerned about tufting that low to the ground. Did you make a frame this low to the ground for better stability? Have you used frames that have the legs that have the tufting area higher off the ground ?
I watched this like 4 times and realized the box he shows at the end of the materials section was 1inch screws but she said “those are just some screws”
I just built this exactly like yours thank you so much for this tutorial!! I'm excited to start yet another new hobby 😂
The most simplest tutorial ever. Thanks 10/10
Just getting into Tufting and this is the absolute best how to video for building a frame. Liked and subbed.
just wanted to point out you didnt use 3 1/2 inch screws for the base, there's no way. lol
thank you so much for this. so much appreciated!! 2 years later and still helpful
Literally built the exact tufting frame all thanks to you guys.
I made this today and WOW! Tomorrow I start my first project. Excited!
I’m gonna attempt making this but a little smaller. Thanks for the tutorial!
Thank you so much for sharing the specs!! So many people just record themselves putting it together and leave the viewer to assume the specs.
This! And that's for soo many things on UA-cam too! Like why can't we know the measurements and specs? It's like they don't want us to actually try to attempt it 😅
Yeah because it is just so difficult , specs are what you want .
Just finished building mine with this video . Thanks !
perfect video...This basically answered all of my questions. Trip to home depot it is. Thanks to both of you
Just got into tufting Great Video!
This is so so helpful! Thank you!

Awesome, good insights!
Thank you! This was extremely helpful!
Where do you order fabric big enough to fit your frame?
Amazon
Good work
Thanks for sharing this video
Thank you so much! Excellent instructional video
Thanks for the idea. Great video. I just subscribed to your channel. Good luck
Thank you
At the bottom, how was it to pull your monks cloth onto the frame because it seems like it would be a little difficult to get around the brackets to get it tight in that area
i have the same question .. did you ever figure this out?
Currently building mine and was thinking the same thing
If I got the 6 braces where would the extra 2 go if there’s 1 on each corner?
Pro carpenter tip #147.5 - if you run your screw in reverse first then forward you won’t crack the wood and you won’t have to drill a pilot
How do you get the cloth to stay on the wood? Video like this would totally help! This was super helpful to me as well!
Are you talking about the bottom of their frame or just in general?
The carpet tacks they hammered in at the end have tiny nails that’s stick out. You just attach the cloth to the nails and gradually work all 4 sides to make it tighter
Did you ever find out how to get it tight enough? I’m trying to figure out the same thing
Good and simple tutorial! ¡Gracias!
Thank you!
Great video! Next time please do a voiceover with exactly what you are doing and which screws are being used for each part. Thank you!
do you put the tacking strip on all sides of the frame?
Does the tack strips go around the whole frame?
Yes
what size brackets did you get? thanks so much for this video fr fr ! gonna start making rugs soon :)
Great video!

Making sure there’s enough slack in the yarn but not too much! It’s an odd balance and it’s time consuming but it’s what’s helped me the most. 😁
@@SnackGangNYC and ls it easier to feed it from the Center or outside the roll
Can you make a 5x7 rug with these measurements? Ty!!
so since the eye hooks or on the side where you prefer them do you just leave your yarn on the floor?
Waiting for this response also. 🤓
Hey! Yeah I leave the yarn cakes on the floor. Just a personal preference!
Dope did mines just like that!
Hey, I’m curious where you found your monks cloth at?? Having issues finding this size in stores…please help lol

Great idea I’m a stair carpenter apprentice and only ever built a few things with my knowledge but my friend wants me to build one of these very good video 👍🏾

@@nytuftteam493 thank you
@@nytuftteam493 is it the one that’s a $100?

www.amazon.com/shop/heysnackgang you can find the EXACT monks cloth we use on my amazon storefront!
Can you please tell me where you bought the monks cloth for such a big frame?
Amazon link in description!👆🏻
Thanks
Hello!! What are those metal brackets called you use to stabilize the frame? Not the corner ones but the ones for the legs
Search L bracket or angle brace. Could be meant for a shelf since it has the stabilizing bar.
Is there way make detachable one that maybe you can store ?
Planning on building one soon to do this very thing. Thinking about making a vid doing so.
I was wondering what size monks cloth you used for a 7x5 frame . Link would be appreciated
The Amazon link is in the description 😁
how wide are the planks? i went to home depot but they have so many different widths and sizes for their planks of wood. thanks :)
They said that all the wood was 2-by-4's.
Hey ! Could you tell me how much is it in centimeters ? :)
What size brackets are these?
12 inches I believe
I JUST made this frame following your design but I found that my monks cloth is just ever so slightly too short, what size cloth do you guys order for this frame?

What is the maximum size rug this Frame can’t make
what size rugs can I make with this size tufting frame?
How are you attaching the bracket to the 1' plank and then to the frame?? Your body is in the way.
Make sure you enforce the wood ! Lol
Please put the materials list in the description. Thank you!
The link is in my description on my Amazon storefront!
Hello, can you clearly write what is the size of wood which you use for this project? I mean not lengths, but size of wood.
🔥🔥🔥
Good lookin
Est il possible de le mettre en centimètre svp ?
I need help on feet part
You never used the 2 1/2 inch corner braces
I like how you started out give directions but when you finished the frame you did not show how you attached the tack straps. @5:50
I didn’t hear any prices 😅

I’ve seen people build frames higher up! We just chose to do it this way so that it fit in and out of the door frame of our apartment!
Just mount the bottom 7' plank higher on the 5' and keep the bottom the same... problem solved.
I think you guys need to add to the video you will need one inch nails.. my spouse got all the materials and didn’t get the one inch nails 😩
I caught that right before I ordered everything. I was like wait a minute, some of this doesn't need 3in screws 😭
Yes you need lots of 1 in screws
I watched this like 4 times and realized the box he shows at the end of the materials section was 1inch screws but she said “those are just some screws”
