Fat shark owners are rubbishing these goggles probably to make them feel better about spending mega bucks on their overpriced ones but there's a huge market for these for people with limited spendable income and other commitments so I say well done eachine and thanks andy for a better balanced review than others

Thanks Andy, much appreciated. By statistics alone, these are better than the *old* Fatshark Predator v2 which had no diversity, 25deg FOV, fixed IPD, rubber eye cups, 640x480, 7ch 5.8 Rx. So, it can "kill" those because they are 5 years old. I fly with them but then I'm saving up for HD3s (or whatever is best when I've saved enough).

Andy, I was able to add the Eachine ProDVR to the goggle very easily in about 15 minutes. The screen doesn't go dark and overall, it doesn't look all that bad. There's a couple videos on my channel if you want to check them out and do the modification yourself.

Hi there from across the pond.
Ev100 does not have proper diversity. If I had to take a T adaptor and put it on the antenna and put a clove and flat anntena on the one pole and leave the other blank would that increase the strength or break it. Please let me know.
    Thank you

Hi Andy, I just received mine , I think I was 3rd dispatch, and cannot get a picture at all. I fly a P4P. Are you supposed to be able to just press scan on the goggles and it will find the correct channel or do you have to pick a band first. On the P4P remote I have set 5.8 GHz ,and also eg set channel 1, then scanned on Goggles. Absolutely zero. Please help us out Andy.

Good review Andy....It was interesting that you concluded these Goggles were for far sighted people. Im far sighted as I need glasses for reading, I assume this is what you mean.? The killer for me is the IPD...it's not enough, I need 74mm. The individual focus adjusters are just what is needed, well done Eachine. If only the designers would realise that this type of goggle requires a fair bit of optical adjustment if they are to appeal to everyone's needs. Then they would have a winner...I'd like to bet the next iteration of these goggles is still limited to 68mm IPD. All they have to do is make them a little larger and design in adjustment.

Thank you Andy for a lot of useful (and thought provoking) information. The adjustable features of the EC100 do sound like a good idea. I have been very shortsighted for most of my life but having had cateracts removed and my vision corrected, I'm now slightly longsighted and my eyes see different sized images. After a stroke some years back, my right eye dropped. So, it seems clear that goggles with two screens probably won't work for me. At best my eyes will become very tired while my brain tries to compensate. Maybe FPV isn't for me.

You did not lie, you really went deeply with these FPV Goggles, excellent review! One of the best i've seen around them.
I honestly did like RCShim (Mario), when i saw the specs, i was like WTF, nope they aren't for me especially nowadays but they might be a good compromise for someone who won't fly regurlarly but honestly the specs are pretty poor and the argument of low price is really hypocrite (from manufacturers).

Aww crap... I've been using box goggles for years and I love em mostly because I can do a double fresnel lens mod to make the FOV huge and more immersive - and the Quanum Cyclops are cheap. I did order these EV100s at $99, but worried they won't feel as immersive as what I'm used to and hearing about how tiny the screen is unfortunate. Too bad there weren't any reviews during the presale price period and I hope someone makes a lens magnification mod.

The vr007 box screen was blurry for me, the screen was too close to my eyes. So I tried the Cyclops and they have a beautiful screen and a nice field of view. The Cyclops are longer than the VR007 but I still had to move the screen to the furthest position from eyes for a clear picture. Everyone is different though.

  • @billsomrak

Saw several reviews of these already, but enjoyed watching yours. The 'black screen' could be an artifact of the "antenna diversity" system .. just a thought. Another reviewer mentioned the darkness after plugging in an external DVR. Could be an impedance mis-match ... a technical faux pas by the manufacturer. As this set was likely not a final production version, perhaps they will fix those things. Thanks for the review. Cheers.

This is Eachine's attempt at Fatshark style goggles and I'd admit after watching all these reviews I've come to the conclusion they could've produced a better product on their initial attempt. I purchased this at $100 pre order so I'll compare them to my $150 box goggles. I'll be happier knowing I can spend more on other parts.

You can't just release something thats so cheap and try to compete with the companies that have produced the the quality goods. All i am seeing and hearing is" well it can be modded for this and it can be modded for that". I purchased the Aomway's on the back of your's and Stu's from UAV futures reviews Andy and have no complaints what so ever. Sorry guy's but these are what they are, cheap and if all your gonna do is mess around having to mod them, save your time and a little more money and get yourself some real ones.

    • @reallydeej
      @reallydeej 7 років тому +2

Micro's take a fair beating compared to mini's. I fly a Kinkong 90GT and it's great for a first brushless quad. It's light enough it doesn't explode when you crash like with a larger quad that has more mass. Enough power to have plenty of fun. Good community on facebook when solving any issues and replacement/spare parts are easy to come by online.
No matter what you end up with be sure to get a ton of props, few batteries & a spare motor or two because you'll still break stuff, especially when starting. For the first little while you'll probably spend as much time fixing things as you do flying but don't be discouraged, one you get your chops you'll repair a lot less.

Dbo Real ...Syma X5 series. (If they still sell them ). I have had one over a year and added an AIO cam to it for cheap. This quad still has original props on it despite the countless unintended landings. I don't use prop guards or landing gear on either . Excellent for line of sight training and also fpv.

Best thing you can do is buy a good radio like Frsky QX7 and play some simulators first, then order or build a drone.

I bought an EV 100 for $89. To me it was a waste of money. The box says they have a 28 degree field of view. But, I think it is more like 23 to 24 degrees. It is like looking into a binocular from the wrong end. Sorry Bangood.

    Hello Andy,
I can see you use the FS correction lenses in your HDs. Did you ever consider using "real" custom made lenses made from high quality optics? I don´t own those FS lenses but I suspect they are some serious crap. Are they made from glass? Looks like plastic, makes it evern worse.
Maybe some high quality lenses, made exactly for your eyes will do a great difference. Now you paid so much for these goggles, the lenses do not really matter.
This is no advertising, I have no benefits from that, I have a video about Optik Fisher lenses in Germany. Maybe you´d like to check them out. I know the guy personally, if you like, I can ask him about a discount if you want to do a video about that.
I think those type of lenses are a topic that is way too little discussed and tested. you trust the FS-ones. I wouldn´t.

Today I've unsubbed from like 20 FPV channels who a re doing reviews mostly. AndyRC, KababFPV and RCShim are still in the list because they provide the most honest reviews and not some affilliate friendly marketing bullshit. Don't get me wrong, I do respect that they want to get some money out of their videos but tricking people into buying worthless stuff because they have to do positive reviews about anything in order to get free stuff from banggood or gearbest is just lame.
