Hey man, as a bodybuilding nerd as well I gotta say I really like your channel. Would love to see you cover more shows that guys like nick don't, maybe even the big amateur pro qualifiers
I think you gotta consider Phil for a best back contender too. Just look at it at 5:46. It is perfectly symmetrical and he is missing nothing. His posing also helped him immensely compared to Ronnie but it doesn’t take away from the development. Lower lat insertion check. Traps, solid. He probably has the best teres major and minor ever. They jut out super far. He’s lack a bit of width in the RLS but I don’t think it’s the back’s fault but rather skeletal structure.
Hadi with the greatest abs of all time? That's quite an incredible stretch. I mean they're pretty good, but not that great. They're light years better than mine so he's doing something right 😅
5:19 Heres a counterargument for that though, nobody was flexing their glutes and hamstrings until people like Rich Gaspari started doing it, Platz had striated glutes which was visible in side shots so you dont really see the conditioning from behind in the rear double cause they hadnt started presenting them yet
Yeah that is a good point. I would say that even if he had flexed them, his conditioning wasn’t at the level of a Ronnie, Phil, or Dorian, maybe like a Lee Haney at best from behind. His hamstrings and glutes also wouldn’t be nearly as “freaky” or large, however I do think that had he flexed them they wouldn’t look out of place on a modern stage
Contrary to youtube practice, the thumbnail is a major spoiler :D On the thumbnail you should really have to: - include a red arrow - have some major bs going on, like under calves have Iain or Wolf maybe, or for legs Brandon Curry (god forgive me), for arms Chris Dickerson. There you have it. Off to a million subs! Oh wait, you have actual integrity and you care about your viewers, now that's a bummer :)
Ronnie said Arnold would be the greatest of all time if he had today’s gear. His proof was by pointing at a picture of Arnold and said, “look at that chest.”
Great video but I’d have branch warren in the best legs discussion too considering his legs were perfect world class quads glutes hamstrings and calves while also having a granite like conditioning i agree with everything else tho
Imo Kevin and Phil's delts are overrated. They didn't have much definition. Just compare them to someone like Michal Krizo's when they hit the most muscular and back double bis. The guy has real muscle.
He’s good but his delts are never a focal point like the arms on his physique. I feel like they are big but proportionally they don’t have that sting and wow-factor
He didn’t have that 3D pop and roundness though, especially in hands clasped mm or from behind. Big + massive and conditioned but not round, whereas Kevin and Phil had that pop. Then again, it’s all preference and very subjective
Yeah no ahem uh for the mid section you lost me outside of conditioning hadi isn’t the greatest his simetry is awful and his midsection is a bottle I mean he lost the Olympia because of his midsection through off his physique. Frank Zane defined the midsection routine and Chris bumstead has shown modern works with classic flow your list was almost perfect
This is focused on open bodybuilding criteria, not golden era or classic. Hadi may look like a bottle to you, but to the majority of people and judges alike, they believe that he has one of the most aesthetically pleasing, streamlined, and well developed midsections. While I agree that there are more pleasing physiques with better midsections that complement the overall shape, Hadi’s is objectively the best from a bodybuilding criteria standpoint
@@JakeUltimateFitness yet Frank and was in the open also you have Arnold for chest wich good pick. Also the body building criteria I would put Lee priest he had better shape better conditioning and just as good symmetry
Who do you think is the best in each of the 6 major groups?
Chest: Arnold / Serge Nubret
Arms: Phil / Roelly
Delts: Phil
Legs: Jay / Tom Platz
Back: Dorian
Mids.: Hadi / Andrew / Ahmad Haidar
Legs Branch Warren's
Midsection goes to Dave without any doubt
😂
Funny guy
I like that it’s concise and all the groups are in one video
Id honestly give Phil or Derek the RDB especially if you factor in the delts and lower body but Ronnie n Dorian deffo take the lat spread
Hey man, as a bodybuilding nerd as well I gotta say I really like your channel. Would love to see you cover more shows that guys like nick don't, maybe even the big amateur pro qualifiers
Thanks, appreciate it man! I can definitely but they do a great job at covering it and I don’t want to be redundant
@@JakeUltimateFitness Hey, give it a shot. So far I really like your presentation and video style, I think it'll work out
Yes? Yessirah!
As a fan of calves, I’d have to go with Platz for the all time legs

You got every single one wrong in the thumbnail
Dextor Jackson for midsection and should be mentioned for arms
Hadi with the greatest abs of all time? That's quite an incredible stretch. I mean they're pretty good, but not that great. They're light years better than mine so he's doing something right 😅
Delts-kevin levrone
Arms-lee priest(for his overall balance)
Chest-Arnold
Back-Phil
Legs-Paul demayo(again, overall balance)
Abs-Hadi

I don’t want to do clickbait things :)
Id rather have the viewers choose to watch knowing what they’re getting into
1974-75 Arnold's chest would look good on a modern guy.
Ronnie said Arnold would be the greatest of all time if he had today’s gear. His proof was by pointing at a picture of Arnold and said, “look at that chest.”
Arnold, roelly/priest/phil, kevin (shapeliness)/markus (size)/ronnie (detail)/phil (roundness), krizo (overall pick), branch/cutler (if including calves otherwise ronnie), dorian/ronnie/phil/atwood, hadi/rhoden/ray/andrew/buchanan/sarcev/dexter/dillett.
Make a video on top 10 (widest shoulder width)bodybuilder's of all time
i've never heard of Kevin's delts being described as "square, boxy". I thought that was reserved for Iain Valliere's delts in the side chest.
😂 what I mean is that they are less round in comparison-almost angular in a good way
I agree with these - Arnold best pecs of all time in open and Hadi best abs of all time in open. rest are subjective but you have great picks.
Great video but I’d have branch warren in the best legs discussion too considering his legs were perfect world class quads glutes hamstrings and calves while also having a granite like conditioning

@@JakeUltimateFitnessRonnie had by far the deepest striations and separation in the delts of all time, so for me he wins the delts

Good list! Let's retire the term "muscle maturity." Are these guys still going through puberty?
Yeah I’m not really sure who invented it because it’s not really a correct term, but I use it because a lot of people know it 😂
Branch Warren might have the best lower body overall
Quite possibly, however after he tore his quads it’s kinda hard to say. I like his grainy condition and legs from behind
Dennis wolf in my opinion has a better back than Dorian
You might be on to something
Brian buchman is easy best in a midsection
Small ≠ best
Kevin levrone :chest ,delts,triceps,traps,
Kevin Levrone easily wins in the "massive yet incredibly aesthetic - muscle" I will be forever mirin ;-)
