Right? I was calling for that dude's head when he was coaching. I'm suprised at how funny and smart he comes off. He's super likeable.
I grew up watching Chuck Pagano's Colts and I never felt like he was in over his head, like they were pretty often in the late season mix for the playoffs. I'm a Browns fan so I know a thing or two about coaches being in over their heads (cough Chudzinski, Jackson, Kitchens cough) I think in Pagano's case his GM just never quite fixed the holes he needed to get over the hump.
it's tough winning in the NFL, that's for sure. But he seems like a solid guy and I bet most every player loved him.
I think he was fit to be a head coach from a leadership standpoint, but I don't think he's a brilliant defensive mind. If he'd let someone tactically smarter than him be the DC, and if he had a better GM picking personnel and prioritizing the O-line in front of Luck, I think his personality is optimally suited to be a great leader who players would absolutely buy in to as their head coach.

Urb has been on damage control since the Bowling Green Day’s. He’s got this, dude is damn near a lawyer at this point.

After I saw that first video I was like "yeah, it's absolutely a bad look but at least he has that plausible deniability because we can't actually SEE what his right hand is doing". We all KNOW he had his hand in-between that chick's legs while she was grinding on him, but we couldn't actually SEE IT...so his plausible deniability was still intact. But that all went out the window when the second video hit. Urb made the mistake of copping one last feel without having any cover to conceal his finger blasting, and now it is IMPOSSIBLE for him to deny that he was rubbing that chick's puss (over the clothes). So while his excuses were laughable to begin with, the second video made them just blatant LIES to people who have seen the truth WITH THEIR OWN EYES!
Although with all this said, you'd think that this would be a bigger problem for Urban's home life, but now it seems like in addition to what was captured on video, more talk shows are adding in the bizarre fact that he let his team fly back to Jacksonville WITHOUT HIM so he could stay behind and feel up some co-ed strange in Columbus.
What did he do at Bowling Green?

Yeah but other than that it is an amazing place to grow up...I am from Orange Park and I loved my time there minus the having to be a Jags fan it's been awesome....and even being a Jags fan isn't that bad we have had some great seasons bud...it could always be WAY WORSE....Cincinnati Cleveland New York (either team) Houston and many others have had way worse decades than the Jags...we did almost make the Superbowl not too long ago and if they would hire an actual NFL COACH the talent is there to actually win some games....

Meyer is probably trying his best to get fired, get a nice payout (if NFL coach contracts are like the ones in the Premier League in England) and then go back to the college game welcomed with open arms.
The jags have already covered this by throwing out language that would indicate they would fire him under the morale clause which means he wouldn’t get that payout.

It was easy to predict this is how the Jaguars were going to start IMO. You need a bridge for rookie QBs before throwing them into the fire. Luckily I don’t feel you can ruin a QB the way you can a pitcher, yes there’s development that has to happen, but the absolute worst thing that happens is a rookie QB is horrible and rarely gets a chance again.
The NFL is all about opportunity and a lot of players don’t get a fair shake when it comes to showing their true potential. Everyone thought Tannehill and Darnold were busts, teddy bridgewater, Heineke is the best example because he never got an opportunity. The NFL is crazy how it’s so cutthroat and sink or swim, I really wish they could figure out a minor league to develop players

dude this is seriously eye opening when someone like Chuck, who's been in the world for decades. Legitimately couldn't believe he had actually been in that bar; not flying back. Shows just how CRAZY Urbans ego has grown. These are fcking men, not 19 kids who will worship you & swallow up all the bs. This guy should have known better. He's a great coach and recruiter obviously. but the tactics and painstakingly difficulties in game planning for an opponent isn't just as simple as smoozing with the parents over dinner discussing there 15year old sons plans for the future.
