An excellent review by Denver! I worked on AMFS and Rock of Chickamauga so Pipe Creek is very, very close to Hermann's style. One thing that Denver didn't mention is that there are a few artillery counters in Pipe Creek that can be used in AMFS. The Pipe Creek rule/scenario book explains how these extra counters are added to a number of AMFS scenarios. You clearly get your money's worth with this supplement.
@@cwhalen3141 By the way, I was introduced into and right now playing Tiny Battles Brawner’s Farm. It’s a whole lot of fun with the same general feel to it, but distinguishing differences. Congratulations 🎉
Looks good and keen for my copy to arrive. The quality of production and attention to detail is important for me in deciding which games to play, thanks.
Excellent review and showing Denver. Nice. Looking forward to playing this with the same anticipation I had with AMFS. Especially the revised Pickett's Charge scenario. One question if I may... Are the larger charts here in Pipe’s Creek exactly the same as the AMFS (2nd Ed.) ?
It is out of stock currently but will be available as an add on in upcoming kickstarters we have. It should be available in the store early 2025, if not late 2024! 🎲💥
Thanks for this great question. Here is what Claude Whalen says; “Since AMFS was tested with the original cavalry rules, I would suggest staying with those rules. Many of the Pipe Creek cavalry rules aren't going to apply anyway, simply because the Confederates don't have any cavalry units in AMFS. Without Confederate cavalry units, AMFS can't have any type of cavalry versus cavalry fighting. The cavalry units in Pipe Creek ARE the units that fought at the East Cavalry Field at Gettysburg. I didn't include any Union cavalry units from the South Cavalry fight. I decided that those Union troopers would be guarding the other Union flank. As Hermann has often said, "once you have purchased the game, you can do what you want". If they want Buford to use the Pipe Creek rules in AMFS, they can apply them. The rules just aren't officially changed. “ 🐷🎲💥

It is compatible with either edition of AMFS! Good question ☺️💥🎲

Are the new cavalry rules (including the carbines) intended to be backwardly applied to the base most fearful sacrifice game?
