In this situation, I just left the ones that are built into the example scene - however, you could definitely play around with the brightness to get the results you want :)

Does anyone know if we are able to bring our own displacement maps into Lumion 10? It will be disappointing if we cannot but definitely a step in the right direction by them adding in so many displacement maps to the library.
As far I know, we can't. I believe they're limited to just the materials already in there, though I haven't had time to do an in-depth test yet. It is a bit odd to me that there are Poliigon materials in the library with displacement maps, but if you download and import a material from Poliigon's library directly, you can't bring the maps in with it. That said, I'm still really excited to see this as a new feature - it's going to make a big difference!
@@TheRenderingEssentials Yes that is a bit odd, I hope this is just to test the functionality and they will later implement it. Only having color and bump maps is the biggest critique I have for Lumion.

Great vid - Any advice on long render times on heavy scene animations using Lumion 9. Usually render over weekends (Were Running Nvidia Quadro P5000 Graphics with 64GB Ram on each PC) we have a farm but can’t use for Lumion. (Second graphics card/Dasey chain option on PCs?)⁉️
Not that I'm aware of. Can you split the scene up and render multiple parts on different PC's, then tie the videos together in a video editing program?
It's good for a quick still or movie, but it's far from photo realistic. It needs a lot more work on the render engine, materials interface to much back and forth with different results.

1. I don't think you can. 2. Not sure - any sound effects I always add with my video editor
why I am not able to use real skies effect in my lumion pro 8.5 version?
I believe real skies were added in Lumion 9

i really like the lumion workflow, but the quality render it's not so good.
Hopefully you can find somewhere else that gives you the results you need then...
