Epic work as always man. Board review is difficult. So many factors. Flat water. Waves. Chop. Riding style. Powered. Light wind. That’s a tough task 💪💪👊🤙
Hi Jason, greetings from Croatia 🇭🇷. What an awesome review, can't wait for the next one! I hope you can grow and sustain the channel, as it is one of the most valuable one in the industry. Cheers
Great video Jason! I have tried 3 out of those boards and have to agree with all your points you've mentioned. Specifically I noticed the lock in feel from the torque and could see how you'd really be able to send it in those nuking days. But the Atmos has still been my favourite because of it's overall blend of everything I feel - lightweight, fast, control, doesnt break your knees in chop. Looking forward to the next one!
Thanks for the big work. Can’t wait to hear what you have to say about the Lieuwe Falcon ; I absolutely love this board that I got recently, and it’s actually a newer version whiteout rail to adjust the stance (but you still can have a lot adjustments) and new reinforced rail and extra layer of carbon. Of course it is always a matter of own taste and I did not try as many boards as you did but for me this board is a game changer I have never feel so confident.
Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
Very good video and good timing, because I am looking for a new board aswell. But I think for a normal rider a big point is the price difference between some of the boards.
Thanks for the review, can't wait for the second one. I take it you did not review the Lieuwe Shotgun, this is the board I hear the most hype about here in the Netherlands. I have the Naish Monarch myself, I wonder if you ever tried it and what you thought about it.
One thing I like about the North atmos, is that while it has 40mm fins, they are substantially longer, and I think offer more lateral grip without the annoyances of the 50mm fins. However, they are made of cheaper plastic and crack easily.
Thanks dude! I like your reviews. I ride the north Atmos carbon 2021 and I love it. I'm a big air fan and my level is similar to yours. Could you suggest me if I should look into updating my board for much better progression or should not spend all my money and keep riding the board I like. However, I find the handle too small for my hand. I was thinking of changing the handle. Thanks dude. And keep filming your thoughts are important for us. 🤙🤙🤙
@@viktorshvets9914 I would consider getting a newer board because after a couple seasons they will loose some of their stiffness/pop… as I mentioned the newer ones also have swappable bindings for fresh edge every few months (from 2023 they did this). If you have the chance, demo some of the ones I mentioned, like the lieuwe, otherwise you’ll surely enjoy a newer atmos carbon/pro
great job as always, Jason. One thing it lacks is the straps position on each board. Did you go standard/recommended on each of them or you have a different preferred stance? Those Core straps are the worst on the market. even on narrow feet like mine you get to push with the pinky on the plastic part and it ruins your sessions. Got my pinkys super swollen before i finally changed them to a different brand
Would love to see a Xenon board thrown into the mix. I love mine, and when I demoed the North Atmos, i couldn’t get around to enjoying it more than my board.
@@jasonofmontreal maybe so, they were really a popular in Charleston, South Carolina for a while, but I haven’t seen them in any stores. Lots of people ride them though, but I agree getting them shipped from Europe would probably cost an arm and a leg.
Nice Video. What do you think think about the differences from Atmos 2022, to 2023, to 2024 ? I have 75 kg and i am looking for an Atmos. Maybe 136 would fit to me. The Price will decide which one i will take. Maybe a 2022 in secondhand.
@@tjarkpackmohr36 not a huge difference to be honest, the 2023 is probably the lightest actually of them, but I’d recommend 23 or 24 because that’s when they switched to different foot pad spacing that allows you to turn them over and ride either edge
@@jasonofmontreal thank you for your quick response. Oh that is Good to know. So you can Turn the heelside ? for example when there are scratches on it ?
The Dutotone Jaime borad ..... Jaime - "Hi-Me" ..... I swear I've been reading that as "Jamie" for about 10 years ... woooops ... what watch do you like? What's the one with the big screen you have? :)
Jason if you find the Atmos slow in 138 why not ride it in 141cm. I am on the heavy side (90kg). Where I ride we seldomly get 9m days. It has been a long road learning to loop. I used to have a 140 Old North Team Series. Now I have a 139 Fusion 5, but your video left me wondering about the Carbon Atmos. Originally I was worried about the footpads being too tough. I do like the Core footpads the best so far, but on the shape of the fusion sometimes I miss the old team series (which became the outline of the newer Jaimes). If you were me, would you go for 141 or 138. I am landing safely single loops and can do boardoffs sans loop.
@@MrSpanishPeanuts far less control as you ride larger boards, I have a 145 trace I LOVE for light winds, but once you get over 22-25knots it's a real challenge... 138 for me seems to be a nice middle ground between everyday and extreme big air... I talk about more in part 2 about board sizes as well

I was thinking about that... but they are different sizes so I thought it would be hard to relate a 137 carved to a 140 crazyfly... perhaps i should have never the less...
Awesome vid. If your doing boards again would love to see couple of Shinns in the mix. ADHD marketed as megaloop vs Monk which is one of the most popular all round boards. Be great to see how they stack up against the mainstream brands.
