Hope you'll check out SB19's Pagtatag sampler! It's a sneak peak into the tracks that will be released with the Pagtatag EP on June 9. Also, advanced happy birthday to Efra and Stell! 💙
Sexbomb supremacy! They only started as backup dancers for a gameshow. But they basically blew up, launched 3 albums, a multi season soap opera... They were THE girl group of late 90s early 2000s. Those girls dominated.
YES MY LOVE and ECLIPSE power vocals🔥
i'm an A'TIN but there's so many filipino talents out there😊
hope you can stream with us on June 9 the PAGTATAG EP release of SB19🔥⚠️🤙
thank you for supporting PPOP😊
+ VER5US
Pluus is considered to be SB19's younger brothers since they come from the same entertainment company. However, Pluus is managed by SBTown (which is now a separate company from ShowBT) and SB19 has left ShowBT and made their own company 1Z Entertainment. Pluus's debut songs are great IMO.
The members of Yara were co-trainees with SB19 under ShowBT. They didn't get to debut because the company decided to focus on forming a boy group. They joined a talent reality show PoPinoy and won as the Grand Girl Group, and they are really good since each member is an all-rounder in terms of singing, rapping, and dancing.
Hope you can feature Pluus and Yara in your podcast!
When SB19 started the OPM and PPOP game changed to a whole new level, that's why the OG OPM artists are extremely thankful for SB19 for paving the way to greater heights for OPM to be known to the world.

Don't base just by view or str3ams bilangin ang mga awards na naachieve.
If you trace the career of pop singing groups in the Philippines, the real OG Pinoy POP group would be Smokey Mountain. They were popular even before the concept of KPOP went international. Smokey Mountain brought real talent and true Filipino flavor to pop music in Asia throughout their career. They were a huge hit internationally and was even once based in Japan, their biggest market outside the PH.
The original PPOP group -- Smokey Mountain ua-cam.com/video/HKX95mHPFZ8/v-deo.html
That’s true though most Filipinos don’t really like the “cute” concept because it’s cringey. Maybe that’s why PPop groups aren’t exactly mainstream in the Ph. They mostly gain recognition from intl fans.
I’d say mainstream, ppl here prefer slower songs like courtship songs. Not heavy on the music, more focused on vocals. Ppl here love songs you can sing on the karaoke 😂
YGIG and PLUUS were both trained under the same company that trained SB19 and KAIA. But SB19 is now on their own, self-managed under 1Z Entertainment, a company that was built and is owned by the SB19 members themselves. I haven't seen much of the girl group YGIG, except perhaps one dance song performance, but the boy group PLUUS seems very promising. I've actually watched their dance cover videos back when they were still trainees - as the members are reminiscent of SB19 when they were starting. Their dancing was v synchonized but little did I know that they're actually very good in singing as well! I believe they came out with 3 debut songs - worth checking out!
Also, perhaps you can react to the SB19 PAGTATAG! Sampler? It's very short but interested to know your insights!
Oh men!! Please include ALAMAT to your podcast. You won't regret it. They deserve to be recognize
ALAMAT Gayuma & MAHARANI
a must watch
they are under VIVA also
I love XLR8! Aki is my favorite back then 😢
Chicser was so popular back then and I think they were the trendsetters for colored jeans. Like they really were popular to the point where a guy wears colored jeans they'll get the "uy Chicser" comment
When I left in 2004, Filipinos were more into R&B, alternative rock, acoustic band, slow ballads, some rap was evolving, no Korean style or American style pop to really speak of:
So true and when kdramas and dara introduce kpop thats when kpop become so popular here in philippin3s and yutube and social medias is already blowing up
Lol boyband is the the thing before you left. Nsync, Backstreet boys as early there is Milli Vanilli , New kids on the block what are talking about. In the 80s there is MENUDO boyband.
@@marlonquismundo Im talking about commercial Filipino music. Can you name a Filipino boyband group that is very popular in 90s - 2000s?
When it comes to Philippine Girl Group no one tops the quality timeless classic music from "VANNA VANNA" of the 90's
Xlr8 the first ppop boyband they are really good in vocals and dance. Girltrends been trending in their performance when they are dancing they are not synchronize its look no rehearsal happened 😂.
Sexbomb been popular everyone waiting them always on noon time show eat bulaga and they have their own afternoon show called DAISY SIETE
I hope you see Sarah G's latest concert. Specially the clips where the fans were singing along. It was really magical!!

Can u do Felip's Whole EP COMPLEX I'm waiting for your reaction to it since then. Felip has 6 tracks that are in various genre
There are 3 from hori7on that u should see....their pre debut songs like dash, salamat and lovey dovey....they are an all Filipino 7member bg formed under MLD ent., Kamp Korea in collaboration with abs-cbn
Guys you gonna love SB19 Pagtatag EP So i hope you gonna react SB19 PAGTATAG EP Sampler.
I'm pretty sure you're gonna like ALAMAT's Gayuma, Maharani, and Aswang. Also ILY ILY ft. lyca
Honestly, I didn’t know most of those group here except Sex Bomb and Viva Hot Babes. Those were during my time and they were really famous. But definitely SB19 changed everything for me. The moment I found out everything about them, my love for Pinoy Pop came back. Back then Ballads, hip hop and Rock Bands were in because Pinoy pop was cringy.
Sarah G was good too, but SB19 definitely changed the game.
1Z entertainment collaborates with Sony Philippines …1Z entertainment I think is owned by SB19 …maybe after sometime they’ll handle other talents too after their solos
Back then the Ppop group aren't that popular in the philippines because their songs are mostly novelties but then when Sb19 came it changed the game
where is the band 1:43 who sang a huge massive hit Sa Isang Sulyap Mo they should've been included
Yeah, i was actually waiting for them. That song was huge.
Maybe they were blocked or having copyright issues.
were they before or after 1999?
@@DarkR0ze they were after 1999 they debut in 2010
yes please. new gents PPOP podcast pleeease
One member of the boy group Chicser is Ranz Kyle. Kyle is the brother of the famous Filipino vlogger, Niana Guerrero. Check them out!
Hi Wale and Efra. I can't find your Gento MV RV. Huhu. Want to rewatch it
Hope to see another VXON reaction ❤ thank you po ☺️
Yesssss!!!!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Wow I didn't know there were other groups back then. I only know SexBomb since they are so huge! No other group that beat their popularity not until SB19 came up. And I am a fan of these two group.
Still hoping for you to react to Josh Cullen of SB19 solos 😊 as well as Felip's COMPLEX E.P.
RPM ( Para Sayo and Best Friends Forever) is my fave underrated PPOP group.
I remember XLR8 (pronounced as Accelerate) they didn't last long, but they were ok.
The very first Pinoy group I remember is the Smokey Mountain Kids who sang Paraiso
This PPOP is not kind of my thing even back in the 90's until now most of them is just for TV and don't left an impact to the most of Filipino's still nice content keep it up guys
When SB19 paved the way for PPOP, every song and MV became much more improved because they set the Standards so high that other groups forced to give us amazing contents.
I think some are missing on the list, thought, like masculados, i'm surprise i didn't see Boband Ph and 4th impact.
Chicser hoi.... They had alot of fans because digital era are starting that time with all the media accounts...
The first male pop group is maskulados or VST et al
Chicser Omg! 😍
It's not too late to check SB19 PAGTATAG SAMPLER. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on it.
where did your gento reaction go? wanna rewatch it but i can't find :
Baka na block na naman sila ni mama sony kaya putol putol minsan at madalang nalang sila mag react sa boys kasi ang higpit ni mama sony sa kanila.
Before KPop Girl Groups became popular in Asia (specifically SNSD and 2NE1), Sexbomb Girls was the best-selling girl group.
Love MNL48, SB19 and new fave HORI7ON
I hope you also reacts to SB19 new song Gento.
There was Vanna Vanna first. As far as I can recall.😊
More reaction videos from Kaia...
Have they reacted to Gento already? If yes, is it deleted or blocked?
Saaaad
esbi is the nations favorite
Please include PLUUS thank you
i think Street Boys(but not so much) and Universal Motion Dancer are the firsts in modern PPOP...
please include PLUUS. #PLUUS
Have you guys watched Gento by SB19 already?
do you have reaction for Gento?
Yung "Sige Ekembot" Pop yata yun
PLUUS and YGIG please.
2000s my favorite era 😆😆😆
MNL48❤❤❤
Viva, please stop blocking my sh*t LOL Efra’s always funny. I felt like he’s talking to a specific person
MNL48❤
Where is your gento reaction video?
Wait where's the Masculados?
diba kasama ang boybandPH dito☺️☺️☺️
Vanna Vanna, DnH, Kai, etc
Why did the video consider Sexbomb as PPOP girl group but not Masculados as PPOP boy group. Or Street Boys.
isn't hori7on not a p-pop group? their fans are claiming that they are called a global pop group instead and some of them says they dont want to associate that group with p-pop because they debuted in south korea
Were you referring to Now United? Yep, Zephanie joined their bootcamp.
Nabila idol ft alan walker please👉👈
when felip complex ???😢
I don't think this live performance shows even 10% of how good Prabhu Deva is.
HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended these 2 videos, I think they are his best.
ua-cam.com/video/m7aqXGTBsJA/v-deo.html - An older one (1994)
ua-cam.com/video/QVgSyvzmbxw/v-deo.html - A more recent one (2018)
His speed and isolation will blow you away! :)
Viva is the home of ppop
This compilation lacks research. There were some known groups that were just brushed off.
Salbakuta? Apo hiking?😅
Early 90s i love this girl group called Fruitcake, the original singer of Whoops Kiri. And also Vanna Vanna. They're so good!
@@sorcerersupreme4300 STUPID! Those you've mentioned aren't all-pop songs. Those are pure ballads.
@@amlona4162 Well to be fair, it did date from 1999 - Present
I didn't see gemeee 5

I can't notice how the very popular girl group back then which is Sex Bomb(SB) and the very famous also today SB19(SB) share the same initial, it's just a small detail i just need to say it, ridiculous. HHAHHAHAHAHAHA
The controversial group who did all the naked things and all were the D'Bodies. It's not in the video.
PLEASE!!! REACT to LITRATO by ALAMAT x Thyro Alfaro
PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!
Can you really call it PPOP before PPOP even became a thing? What they just throw that in there?
The Viva Hot Babes you mean?? They have always been controversial.
Sexbomb girls the og
Sexbomb first girl group and the philippines
Fact check pls!
SEXBOMB SUPREMACY!
Pinoy boy band 😢
'HORI7ON' Please! The Newest & youngest Ppop sensation!
Wala yung 143 hahaha
Sa isang sulyap mo~ the og HAHAHAHHA
the GIMME 5 erasure lol
Sexbomb ate 😂
Naku!
Hori7on next please
Kung sino man gumawa ng video compilation na ito, really knows nothing about PPop. Masyadong mababaw ang definition nya ng PPop and thinks na PPop only works with GROUP of Singers. The disrespect to Neocolours, True Faith, Gary V, Yeng Constantino and Sarah Geronimo!
Di gumawa ka ng sarili mong documentary. Buti nga May nagtyaga para mas makilala ang PPOP. Mag ambag ka kaya😂😂😅
@@vlyvasquez5423 Somehow I agree with him/her.
Paadd Pala Chicser and Gemee 5 😍
@@BudzOnin right? Even Karensita, James and Nadine. Those songs from these people are POP songs so technically its PPop. The disrespect!
it's embarrassing that you know more ppop groups more than me. 🥲🥲
