Hi ovela. You are one of my inspirations as i started my youtube channel. In my channel, I am teaching Bisaya language-the common language spoken in Visayas and Mindanao, Philippines. So, if you happen to visit these places e.g Cebu in Visayas and Davao in Mindanao, Bisaya is the language they mostly speak, although they also understand Tagalog. hehehe. Keep it up. Keep inspiring others.
You are actually familiar only to OPM ballads because of the type of Filipino singers you are reacting to who are usually ballad singers and belters. Philippine music of the 70's called the Manila sound was mostly upbeat music since it was the disco era. The 80's were mostly pop and pop ballads because of MTV. The 90's were band music when Filipino rock bands became so popular especially among college students.
TAMA ANG ALAM LANG NYAN SI MORI sete at Regi ne 😜✌🏻 pero ha may ibang reactor na nakarelate dito at they appreciate it as part of Philippines music history, anu paba bago sa kanya?dko na mga tinapos ang reaction nya hahaha

Thumbs ups it’s amazing.. sa class room May batas in the end 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Gary V, regine 👸🏻 Sharon, e-heads, bamboo, mr shades, Sarah G. And many more and the 90s Local bands era.
I'm a 19 yr old teen but I can relate to most of the songs because of my grandma's playlist. Huh! Can you imagine listening to that old songs everyday? But yeah, I got used to it. I even sing along with my lola
I just dm this filipino evolution a while I ago I didn't expect you uploaded this reaction today 😍😍 I know I'm not the only one who requested this but still I'm happy yoi reacted to that video 😊😊 Thank you !. missing the old filipino music
Ohh I didn't expect that ! 😲 That was so Amazing! This is Best Video that I've watched. I'm a Filipino and I didn't notice it. Those songs makes me remember how beautiful life is. The lyrics of those songs are very meaningful. And Kuya Ovela, I really appreciated how you react to Filipino culture ,to their talents , pinoy Jokes and many many more. 😍😘😘 why I love Ovela? Because of his Honest reaction. ☺️
I knew all of those songs.. waray waray is our dialect from Leyte in Visayas region. He sang a Regine song too.. And yeah true he transition the songs very fast, there parts that is amazing, cool but some is dull maybe.
There were songs from Regine. I just think you didnt recognize it all. Old ballads were heard from his masterpiece. All are familiar to us and very iconic songs.
only dadalhin. most of the songs are from bands and rappers. we got more ballad songs popular on 2010, he put hayaan mo sila, but no Moira, kz's, Mori's than those one hit wonders, and that is why most Filipinos don't like nowadays opm because of these try hard rappers.
I know it's hard to relate when you're not Filipino Ovela maybe the person who suggest it thought you might be interested in hearing old Pinoy songs. But I get why you're confused. These were popular Pinoy songs that are famous thought the generation. Cool reactions! You know a lot about music.
2000s "dadalhin lang pala ng hangin" this lyric is from regine's "dadalhin" song. The one you recognized from the 1990s, you herd it sang by iñigo and Elmo at the SEA games.
all those songs that the pinoy never forgets even now 2020 is still played especially at the party and on the strong trips who want to dance And Sing with the old music. 😍🤗 That's Why is more Fun in the Philippines 🇵🇭😂😁
Although you didn't relate, you gave it a fair chance by listening to the whole video. No one can accuse you of not being open minded. You also acknowledged that the guy has talent and generously offered advice one how his sound can be improved.
@I'm Ck Who's Joe mas bobo ka. Ang sabi ni Ovela "This should be evolution of 'pop' music". Kasi daw bakit yung mga yun lang ang pinakita. Hinahanap niya yung iba pero wala. Kaya ko sinabi yan to explain bakit yang mga yan ang nasa video. Bobo!!!!!! Aral aral din. Tanga!!!!
if ur true blooded Pinoy, no matter what ur age is you can appreciate and relate to this songs! salute to him even his only using phone the outcome was excellent
Hello Obela. I like the way you react to our singers. You are a sincere, honest and legit reactor because you know what you are saying. Have you heard of Aldrich Talonding? I suggest you look into his cover of “dance with my father again”.
Im 17 yrs old but I am more on 90's ballad, rnb, jazz ,soul songs by mariah, whitney, brian, etc. But sometimes I also listen to patti, jennifer, aretha etc.😊
Waray is a native language on Eastern Visayas. If you notice the color that he use on his video is the color based on the year like 80s is black and white 70s is like sepia and 20s is true color sorry if I'm grammatically error.
waray waray is a dialect in Samar and Leyte in Visayas, most of the people who were born there is called "Waray", yes i know because I'm half bisaya(zamboanga del sur-mindanao) half waray(samar-visayas);-) I'm from northern samar:-)
Hahahaha Ovela so for your information Listening to old musics is alive even up to this point so even 90s and late 2000 babies can still relate... classic music never lose
Waray-waray are the people and the dialect spoken in Eastern Visayas region composed of Leyte, Samar and Biliran, Philippines belonging to Malayo- Polynesian family.
Actually you did well considering the arrangement was just a seemless rapid succession of songs. He really made sure of that by adding a lot of extra distractions in between songs. Even for a native speaker like myself, if i dont listen closely enough i will miss the transition. Out of the artists you've reacted to, there were songs from Sharon Cuneta, Gary V, Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez, and Sarah G.
Perhaps you are not familiar with the other songs because most of the songs that you react to were PinoyPop. Whatever Justin Taller did in that video, brought memories and even the young Filipinos are quite familiar with the songs from 1500s since we learn them in school. I guess they want you to react to the video because you love reacting to Filipino artists. If you can remember EX Mil's Panalo song, he made the Pandango (which is the music of the early 1600-1700s as a popular folk dance) as his baseline tune.
Ovela before was about appreciation of songs from different countries.. Now he is just about the views.. You were cool and realistic when there were 2 of you.. Maybe that's why she left..
True. I can see that Ovela truly enjoys OPM some Pinoys have crab mentality saying he's fake. I don't believe so since I've been watching his videos for a while.

Ovela, you have been reacting to a lot of Filipino contents.. I would just like to ask, how much did you improve in learning Tagalog word? 😂 Do you know 100 Tagalog words nd know the meaning of it? 😁 More power to your show!
Hello dude "waray" is a dialect in the visayas region, woman from that region are know to be have a strong personality Like dont mess up with them because they fight like a man not in a very violent way but just not like a typical pilipina woman. I hope I get what I mean to say. Try to listen to our old old music you'll enjoy it. But too much lebrato our 50's song. Bless you bro.

Waray Waray means " Nothing, Nothing in English. You can hear that word in our native province in Leyte also some parts in Samar.

@4:29 you're right! you heard it before, when you did a reaction video from the SEA Games opening.
Perhaps you are not familiar with the other songs because most of the songs that you react to were PinoyPop. Whatever Justin Taller did in that video, brought memories and even the young Filipinos are quite familiar with the songs from 1500s since we learn them in school.
