Boco Corwin You’re darn tootin’ I am, I woke up this morning thinking about how great it is that nobody has conquered the previous world record of the legendary Dennis the Menace for Game Boy and I saw this and snapped my iPad in two and now my mom’s mad at me and is making me pay for a new one
It's because he's too much of a pussy to go back and claim his title back in smb1 He got a wr, so what? The game he run'd this video means nothing. No one plays this game. Go even check the damn leaderboards.
Fun Fact: There are two Dennis The Menace characters both comic strip characters, both first published on the same day in the same year, in two different continents, both artists/creators swear they had no idea about the other one. Great minds think a like I suppose.
New sub Darb, I've seen your clips on Fail compilations but you always look really chill during your runs, I'll have to check out the other runs on your channel
I mean, it must be really tough running competitive game like Mario where getting record is like, almost impossible at this moment, Darb probably had that enough at this pt
It's probably just suprising to see the biggest fastest rising star speedrunner possibly even the most skilled speedrunner of all time doing smaller games but hey atleast hers getting world records or atleast competing for world records in all of them and that's a huge start I do got speedrunning world records myself in wrestling games and trivia games so in smaller games but doing good and getting records none the less
I have always speedrun a lot of random games, and I plan to keep doing it. Sometimes those games are well-known (various Mario games) and other times they aren't (most everything else I have played). Sometimes I'll spend months on a single project and sometimes it'll be days, all depending on when I stop having fun. Sometimes I'll compete for a record if I think it's within reach (as I have with ALF and Dennis the Menace), and other times I get my fill of the game and move on (as I did with DuckTales). I have a long list of projects I'd like to get to and most of the games on it fall into the obscure category. It isn't because they're easier to get a record on (you'd be surprised at how optimized some single-runner games actually are) but rather because I think they would be fun projects to take on. Another thing I like about less popular games is that there's more potential for new discovery - route changes, bugs/glitches, strategies, etc. With this game, for instance, I was able to contribute a bunch of route/strategy changes compared to the only other published run. In the future whenever someone decides to tackle this game, they'll be able to use my run as their starting point and improve upon it from there - I'm excited to see what I missed when that time comes. I still enjoy many of my past speedruns and I am interested in improving some of them (including smb1), but right now I am having more fun tackling some of the more obscure projects I have had on my TO-DO list for years.
That palette is like Charlie and the chocolate factory meets Beetlejuice! Strange little platformer this one, animators definitely cut a few corners, especially with the backdrops.
Omg this game ... I remember I couldn't read English and this game was available on a flemarket in Germany. 20 years later I found this old cardridge. And now I see this . #purnostalgia
Well done young Dennis student. Please do consider running the SNES version as well, it has proven very difficult for me to route the hard mode (easy mode is pretty straightforward) and having a force as yourself to help route it would be amazing.
Congratulations on becoming the world record holder on Dennis the Menace for Game Boy. Get ready for a life of luxury, riches, fame, and women.
LMAOOOO

lol
he's a pro gamer. he already has em by the boatload.
How many WR have you set?
This is the most terrifying looking game I've ever seen
custom palette
it's a Gameboy game and he's using a different palette on the thiccboi I think
Man, your speedrunning some of the most random games. Like when you did Alf on Master system some months ago. It’s always surprising, keep it up.
alf is not random. alf is order. alf is art.
the stralner oh boy....
It's because he's too much of a pussy to go back and claim his title back in smb1

@@CanadianBakin42O no, with all the grinding he did, it’s good Darb took a break. Or else he’d have the wr in arthritis.
I'm stoked to see Darbian back with a new old game and WR!

any source on this? i would like to read the story
Yeah, and the SNES game had to be called just “Dennis”, in Europe. Larry Bundy Jr. did a video mentioning that once.
Congratulations, Darbian. I can already hear Summoning Salt speak of the Darbian Effect. :) Congratulations again! :)
That one dislike is from mr Wilson
HEY MR WIIILLLLLSOOOON
New sub Darb, I've seen your clips on Fail compilations but you always look really chill during your runs, I'll have to check out the other runs on your channel
A week ago, barely anybody knew about this game, now it has a bit of a speed run communtiy
That's the darbian effect, just like he did with Wii Sports Resort Golf
Does it tho?
I like foooo-jee apples. I don't know why but you saying that is stuck in my head.
Congratulations, Darbian! But I must agree to other people here: you speedrun a lot of random games...
I mean, it must be really tough running competitive game like Mario where getting record is like, almost impossible at this moment, Darb probably had that enough at this pt
Maybe because they're way easier to get a WR on?

The darbian affect will take hold, and these random games, will become practically mainstream on the speedrun community

When the boss asks you to come in early on a Monday
Congrats on another WR!!!
Thanks for doing this. This game is featured on the current Tiny Ten race and this is a great resource to learn it!
Oh cool, it’ll be nice to see some other people playing it and finding some new strategies.
That palette is like Charlie and the chocolate factory meets Beetlejuice! Strange little platformer this one, animators definitely cut a few corners, especially with the backdrops.
Darb You’re a legend!
That game ending is the best ever.... tugged at my heart strings.
Nice one as always!
A new record to the repertoire, the record collector.
Omg this game ... I remember I couldn't read English and this game was available on a flemarket in Germany. 20 years later I found this old cardridge. And now I see this . #purnostalgia
You still can’t speak English it’s Pure not Pur
Super congrats!
I like the soundtrack. This game is one of many GB games I beat as a kid.
Congratulations! Pretty rough palette there though :D
I never never did beat this game.
I got it back in September 2007 thinking it was the same as the SNES version, but it wasn’t.
This games soundtrack is pretty dope
Well done young Dennis student. Please do consider running the SNES version as well, it has proven very difficult for me to route the hard mode (easy mode is pretty straightforward) and having a force as yourself to help route it would be amazing.
I didn't even know this game existed, but a great run!
now again the darbian effect will start haha
congratulations
you are very much good
Darb is this the new category
Always good!!
Can’t believe they made a game out of Dennis the Menace. 😂
you are the best!!!
I like the Borat Itz Nice! Thumbs up at the end of each level.
Felicidades

Anyone else get some serious Zelda 2 vibes from the music?
you are crack!!!!!!!! saludos

Gala apples and Red Delicious apples are allegedly more popular than Fuji apples and I find that absolutely absurd. Do people not have tastebuds?
yo! im a huge fan and it would really make my day if you were to reply! you inspired me to start speedrunning, and now im trying to one day get a wr
I didn’t know swears where so cool
Pog
Bro, how can you even see to play this game?! It’s horrific. Props for the record, though.
pretty decent graphics well defined. Colours are a bit skewed tho
Nice👌
the games get even more wacky
Darian but super Mario all starts?
Someone gave up on Mario
I'm sorry, but this game is way too scary for me! Spooky forests? Old sewers? Yikes!
Getting Pokemon Gold/Silver vibes.
Has Darb quit again?
I thought you were done with Dennis on day 1 xD
This game has good music, but the colors make it hard to see what you can collide with :/ Also GG
dennis is high
Is this based on the psychotic UK Dennis or more cute looking US Dennis?
Do you have Insta, Darb?
Stupid easy (for blue toad) is stupid hard!!
It's funny you set a record on this pallet, though you have played on worse.
Is the color palette fucked up?
Круто
Que pro es
Hello this is Shwetal Shukla
I play tv video games like u
You should change your name to Dennis
Is he using a real GB?
I think he’s using a super game boy or something like that.
Oh god, this game is ugly... Purple and yellow!?
Anyways, great job Darb!
It's the Super Gameboy pallet options. The game itself is black and white.
Play 1 time power rangers , video game.i love video games😊😍😘
