I truly miss the days Mr. Rogers was on television each day! He was a pioneer in children’s programming and the values they needed to be successful adults. We need more Mr. Rogers in this world!

Daniel Tiger is a Fred Rogers Production and it has a lot of the same messaging. It is animated with the puppet characters from Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. It is one of the only shows we put on for our toddler twins.

@@Dave0214 oh yes! My daughter loved Daniel Tiger when she was really little! When I discovered he was a Mr Rogers show, I was so happy! Sadly, she outgrew Daniel but I keep searching for similar content.

Mr. Rogers was a tolerate, gentle, progressive man. Using him to further whatever hate-filled agenda you have is disgusting. The last living saint wouldn't stand for your hatred, and neither will we.

Couldn't agree more, bigots shouldn't use him as proof for their hatred

The only difference between Ben Shapiro and Mr. Rogers is that Ben hasn’t a heart.

The sad part is, he’d be cancelled by 14 year olds on Twitter if he said this today…

He probably wouldn't say this if he was alive today. He may not have met any transgender people back then, he may not have understood the way it worked. Times were different, and nowadays different things are accepted. He was a good man, and would be accepting of everyone regardless of sexual orientation or preference. Though I can only speculate.

Mr Rogers genuinely understood and deeply cared about children, he says this not from a point of posturing or pressing an agenda but because he knew children would think about these things and needed guidance, lack of which results in the issues we're seeing today.

I thought he was gonna say something like "in time you may change what you wanna be, but never forget who you were and are at heart"
