There will be the opportunity for questions and a discussion with John.
    What is Yantra Yoga?
Yantra Yoga is an ancient Tibetan system of physical movements, postures, connected breath work and concentration, Yantra is a Sanskrit word that can mean a geometric shape, such as a mandala; but its Tibetan translation, trulkhor, also means ‘body movement’.
This unique series of positions and movements, combined with mindful breathing, helps to coordinate and harmonize the body’s prana energy so the mind can find its authentic balance. On a basic level It is a superb practice for attaining optimal health and relaxation, on a deeper level it leads to a profound experience of meditation and contemplation. Working with body, voice, energy and mind together we have the possibility to achieve real knowledge - the understanding of our primordial state. This is the true meaning of the word yoga (Naljor) in the term Yantra Yoga.
    Prana Mounted by Mind
Prana energy is traditionally compared to a blind horse, while the mind is said to be like a lame horseman. Just as a blind horse cannot be independent but needs someone to lead it, energy needs to be guided by the mind, Therefore the primary focus of this system is learning how to breathe via direct embodied experience from the movements and positions that naturally shape and coordinate the breathing and holds, these are all coordinated with a specific timing at approximately 5-6 breaths per minute, this automatically facilitates a state where the heart, mind and emotions are in energetic alignment and cooperation. On a deeper level we then journey inwards on a more subtle level working with pranayamas and meditation.
Yantra Yoga. Originating from the 8th century Tibet Is considered one of oldest recorded yoga systems in the world,it has been passed down in a continuous succession of teaches until today via the Dzogchen teacher Chogyal Namkhai Norbu.

You don't get out of rigpa because you're distracted, you have to learn to recognize rigpa while being distracted, people are too anal about it and then its hopeless, just relax, youre distracted so what, whatever your current condition go with it and know where you are at even it is that you've lost the plot and don't know, relax give yourself credit that you know you don't or didn't know and now you do,

I have heard from a student of Chogyal Namkai Norbu that you don't need to receive transmission to do simple yantra.
