could you do something about the balance of sound between the DI bass sound and the mics? cause I always turn it up to hear the nuances of the bass sounds, and then get vaporized by the loudness of the mics once the guys take over... thanks in advance! :D
I imagine its hard for Fender to sell new basses that aren't P's or J's, these could be collectors items in the future though. I do wish they'd bring back the Precision Lyte, I'd get one of those in a heartbeat.

Watching this video has cost me £500! Just ordered the 4 string Active Deluxe, can't wait for the door bell to ring. Of course if I'm being a glass half full sort of bloke; then watching this video has just saved me £250 😉

Of course I love my P and my J and I really don't NEED anything else. It would be neat to have different voicings though. Seems build quality on these are erratic - how's yours?

I have used it for gigs and in the studio and it’s great. I’m as happy with it now (if not even more happier) than I am when it arrived. It gets played as much as my P and J basses 👍🏻

Now you have the price they should be to begin with-now cut that in half again and it would be about right on sale.When I was coming up, if you bought a guitar ,you got a case. If you bought an amp you got a cover,and hay,you didn't have to ask if you did.
Did they change the mexican series? I have a Dimension Deluxe V that I got last year. It has die-cast mini-tuners and only 1 pickup. I have to say that this is one of the worst Fender-basses I've ever used.
They phased out the single pickup models apart from the Mex Standard. I know what you mean - the single pickup models are wired in series so voiced too harshly. The American Elite HH has a stunning sound and presence, though. All models should have been HH from day one.

I have a used Mexi Deluxe IV and it's absolutely awesome, especially for the $425 I paid for it. Sorry you don't like yours.
