      Thankyou sir the same goes to you and yours my friend. I'm excited we got it going for him and it runs so good, every thing else is easy on these old gleaners, the engine isn't hard to overhaul either just time consuming and were getting to close to harvest for that. Thanks for always watching and commenting!

    I'll bet that was a fun ride home with the back tires bouncing off the road! Seeing it go down the road reminded me of my uncle Tim's old 7720 deere, I was following Grandpa down the road, him in the combine me in his truck (I think I was 12 or 13, he said not to tell Grandma or my mom) anyway the left drive tire on the combine was wobbling quite a bit. I said something about it to Grandpa when we got to the field. He said that someone had told Tim about it, he had torn the drive axle all apart looking for something wrong and couldn't find anything. Finally figured out that the center in the rim on that side was welded in the rim crooked, so it made that tire wobble really bad. Sure looked freaky. Glad your brother found a good runner! Thanks for the video TIm, hope you have a good one

      Thankyou for sharing that Evan! 😆 don't tell grandma that had me laughing pretty good... I remember hearing that multiple times too growing up, but it was my old man telling me not to mention it to mom 😆 🤣 😂

    I just did the same thing on a JD7700 that had been sitting 15+ years. Got it running got it home and now the story is belts, bushings, and bearings repair while the soybeans are beginning to turn colors.

    • @TimothyFluegel
      @TimothyFluegel  2 роки тому +1

      Yes the cross are starting to turn here too. I'm getting antsy, I'm trying to finish up the project I'm working on now to get the combine out and ready, I just need to repack a couple of bearings that I recently found out don't get greases properly, I run a 1977 Gleaner M2, so I'm happy that all I have to do this year is regular maintenance, I've been through the whole machine the past few years and I think I've got all the questionable parts replaced (finally). I even put a new clutch shaft in it lost year, I think you'd be hard pressed to find another M2 in as good of shape as mine. And that definitely makes me smile 😆

    • @TimothyFluegel
      @TimothyFluegel  2 роки тому +1

      Yes sir, that's because if it's orange it's cheap, easy, and worth fixing 😆 🤣 😂. All jokes aside though I've got a John deer 3010 LP coming into the shop, I might be going to pick it up today, if it ever stops raining. so you'll get to see me venture out into other brands finally 😆. This one he's definitely keeping, he bought that F3 last year to upgrade from his CII of you remember the video of him picking soybeans last year, and the cloud of dust in the cab with him.... well he found out he's allergic to soy he broke out into a rash that covered his whole body last fall. I felt so bad for him as I'm in the field next to him in my pressurized cab 😆 I felt like my 45 year old combine was a Cadillac 😆 🤣 😂 but long story short, now he's selling the F3. Thanks for watching Nelson!!!

    My grandfather had an L2 on his farm, even had rear wheel assist.

    • @TimothyFluegel
      @TimothyFluegel  2 роки тому

      Rear wheel assist would be pretty neat, we don't farm any wet land so we don't need it on our farm but I've done some pretty sloppy custom work with my M2 that I wished I had it lol

    The tractor in the shop, is it FWA?
    Is it your latest acquisition?

    • @TimothyFluegel
      @TimothyFluegel  2 роки тому

      I think it'll be a good combine for him. You guys will definitely get to see it at work this year. The tractor in the shed is a fwa 6080 dad had one when I was growing up and always wanted one, they aren't cheap and hard to find a mechanics special life this one so I had to jump on it. The engine is mostly back together with all new parts, I'm waiting for a new cam to come in the mail, should have it running by the end of the week if all goes as planned.

      It's a 426, I've only been around the gleaners and dad's TR70 new Holland a a kid, and I know it's a night and day difference as far as working on them 😆 the gleaner is so simple I love it, on the other hand the tr70 would take 3 people all day to change a drive belt 😆 🤣 😂 thanks for watching and commenting

      @@TimothyFluegel we started out with a JD45 and went to a 7700. Finally we bought a M2 Gleaner with a 315 head. It was like driving a Cadillac and easy to work on. We got out of farming in the early 2000’s, I miss it every year.

    • @TimothyFluegel

      It's a screw in style. If you look at the oil cooler and follow the tube that runs into the block. Right at the elbow there should be aplug to pull out and screw the block heater in.
