Dempsey Rosales Acosta, Jeff Cavins delves into the significance of liturgy and the concept of sacrifice. They explore how liturgy shapes our relationship with God and trace its origins to the era of the Divided Kingdom.

This would be a great episode for our Protestant brothers and sisters to watch 🙏🏻 as well of course all Catholics. Thank you for this! 🙌🏻
It's a blessing listening to Father Dempsey! Such an effervescent personality! He hits it on the head when he said that lack of adequate catechesis is at the root of our current church problem.
And the lack of Faith from our Priests and Bishops.
I just love the enthusiasm of Fr Dempsey, this is what we are missing in our church in Australia, thank you
Love father Dempsey! So lucky to have had him as a theology professor! He is the best
a beautiful conversation and a wonderful reminder about what the Mass really is and why it matters. Thank you.
This is a perfect follow up to the BIY program. Thank you. Very insightful, very well organized.
I hope to see more often Father Dempsey with Jeff in these program he was EXCELLENT !
You guys who are hearing Fr Dempsey in English for the first time, you should’ve heard him in his native Spanish on the Bible in a Year Intro episodes. I fell in love with Bible in a Year with Fr Mike and Jeff Cavins but the Spanish version really got me going, especially the intro episodes. If you don’t understand Spanish, you’re really missing out. Fr Dempsey is my absolute favorite! I need to read his books.
It was a long video but I could not stop listening
Very very interesting very motivating
Thank you Jeff Cavins for being a very wise an loyal instrument of God

Great teaching from you both. We need you now. Thank you.
Great explanation. Beautiful!
“Deification is a pervasive theme that enriches and unites the other themes in the liturgy...as Augustine claimed, God desires to 'make his worshipers into gods.'” ~Jared Ortiz, 'Deification in the Latin Patristic Tradition'
“Liturgy and deification simply cannot be separated.” ~Matthew Levering, 'Divinization: Becoming Icons of Christ through the Liturgy'
The conversation about liturgy really spoke in an unintended way about the Novus Ordo vs the Latin Mass…

Father, where is your ring?
If 30 of Catholics believe that the Eucharist is truly the body of Christ, how do we re teach the family of God?
