- This track comes from the Basement Collection, which is a bundle of games made by Edmund Mcmillen including:
-Time Fcuk
-Aether
-Spewer
-Grey Matter
-Coil
-Meat Boy Flash Prototype
-Triachnid
-And more!
Most of the games have added content and achievements and is available in the steam store for $4!
I do not own this music. Music made by Danny Baranowsky, who makes amazing music such as this. - Навчання та стиль
I´m the only who get a nostalgia factor hearing this song?
that song hits me on a very personal and emotional level
my entire personality made in one song
That part where the Time Fcuk music kicks in is so addicting
The Basement Medley
0:00 Aether
0:50 Coil (It doesn't sound like any other game)
1:15 Spewer
2:07 Time Fcuk
3:07 Grey Matter
3:37 Not sure about this one, if anyone has a clue, feel free to help (It seems to be Meat Boy, probably Salt Factory. Thanks to the two replies down there!)
Last one vaguely reminds me of meat boy
the last one is for sure meat boy, it kinda sounds like salt factory
Last one is Grey Matter's level theme

I would love for Edmund to do a Postmortem on the basement collection, even if it is a bit too late for that, it’s very clearly filled with a lot of him as a person with the box and chest drawings and all the extra interviews and Q&A’s. Maybe not even a post-mortem just maybe him stating what it means to him, Cus it means a lot to me as a fan of his that he cares this much about preserving his history
I love the Time Fcuk part! :)
Same :D
Me too!!!!!!
1:17 - Spewer
2:07 - Time Fcuk
2:37 - Time Fcuk Proper
3:37 - Grey Matter
0:00 aether
I think between Spewer and Time Fcuk includes Super Meat Boy?
woot
woot
The Time Kufc main theme is what I consider to be perfect music. No matter what mood I am in, I love hearing it.
Even though it's true that all those games are free, there actually is some change to them.Mostly time fcuk, aether and spewer. For example, spewer has got new bonus chapter, time fcuk new chapter too, new graphics for aether etc. Plus some bonus pictures and stuff. So yes, all those games are free, but they ARE changed and updated. Its kinda collectors thing.
Most of the games come with new content (new levels/chapters) and are visually remastered (cleaned up a bit).
The measly 4 dollars you pay for are actually covering the convenience of having them all together, a free soundtrack, commentaries, bonus art/concepts, the added content exclusive to the collection, 50-something achievements, and 5 unlockables (2 of which are hidden games, making the grand game total 11).
4 bucks isn't a lot.
3:36 is from the Grey Matter main theme "O, Merciful Bullet" (Grey Matter being my personal favourite free flash game Edmund has worked on).
Probly my favorite song in the whole Basement Collection, other than Laura Shigihara's Aether cover.
I love that the song puts parts of songs from the other games in the collection! The time fcuk part is my favorite
@@esf1934 that's my favorite too!
ive already played almost all of the games and i bought the collection anyway because first i like steam and second edmund mcmillen makes some of the best games ive played and id like to suppot him to make more games id like
They shouldn'tve been free. They're all good enough to warrant some sort of price altogether.
(9 games + backstories + awesome art + awesome music) > $4
On his blog, Edmund stated his dislike for the reflex levels he put in the game. Those were levels in which you had to combine fairly precise platforming with some tricky layer switches.
They were also the reason I could never finish the game, I'm not good at keeping track of positions of my character and 2 different sets of floor and still time it so that everything falls into place.
I think it's official artwork from Edmund Mcmillen's earlier compilation CD "This is a cry for help".
I just thought it had some interesting new game ideas, I liked that Edmund actually put real effort into it, even giving it a sort of story through by useing psychology quotes that get bleaker as the enemies get tougher up until the boss. You'll notice all the enemies are made of brain and bone, and Edmund mentions this was one of three games that was personal to him, which makes me think it has something to do with his own psychology and experiences. I'm probably reading too much into it. :)
Really, you're paying for hours of content. Not just in the games but in the extra features.
The two secret games are included it the 9 games, actually. Nevertheless, your points are very valid and frankly the collection is a steal if you wish to know more about Ed's back story and get a better feel for his style.
Edmund said he'd never be able to get that one on Steam. :P
However, the one that is on there is definitely worth it, believe me. xD
(Vibing)
All his games are pretty deep, so no worrys.
The games have improved engines, controls, and graphics, and so much extra content is added. Also two original games were made for Basement Collection. I think it's fair to sell the Basement Collection for just a little bit of money.
AVGM is a game for a game jam
1:15 is hardcore Spewer action.
1:55 is yet more Spewer action.
I guess 4:22 is from Coil. Still trying to find MeatBoy and Triachnid parts...
:3 i like this
The Grey Matter part is around 3:40, by the way.
i kina wish that the songs tinhat did were in the bundle as well
1.25 speed for breakbeat.
I'm sure people have told you, but it's from Spewer :P
1:15 is actually Spewer's theme :)
1:15 is Spewer.
Close. But the first two of yours are spewer. Danny B used a fairly similar music style for these games.
ah. i get it.
One can find all the basement music by downloading it in the files.
A couple of them are way above average. Some are profound as fuck. Just sayi'n.
What is 2:22 ??? I've heard that tune before in one of Edmund's games. I just cant remember what the name of the song was though!
Time Fcuk
"Isolated Showers" from Time Fcuk
1:15-2:08 is from Spewer, not Meat Boy.
1:15 isn't Meat Boy; it sounds like Spewer to me.
1:15 is Spewer, not Meat Boy.
Foken catchy m8
EDIT: God fucking autocorrect. More like automistaker.
Steven is not in the picture. i am pissed off now.
Yeah, I got confused. Same instrument, different melodies :P
Love it at 2:25. As well as 2:38 and 1:14... wait, i love it all! its fucking Danny.
No, 1:15 sounds more like the Grey Matter boss theme.
Hopefully they removed a lot of reflex levels from Time Fcuk, not even Mcmillen liked them. He said so on his blog.
oh and so is 1:15.
At 1:15
I can make out time fcuks theme and spewers theme
Is the c-wird here as a locked game? xD
Just a tinyyyyy bit late but no
Has it really been 4 months?
1:15 sounds like Spewer.
(Look at me responding to a 7 month old comment)
GemMaster that's because it's meant to be.
(Look at me responding to a 5 year old comment)
8 now
Nope, Spewer.
The collection is "meh", but the soundtrack is always "eh"!
Well said
someone did agree what im saying, and i only make this kinda comment in 2 videos, the reason im commenting as i said is because i already bought it, i just want to make opinion, feel free saying me wrong
i hate edmund that just puting all the free flash game he made together into a bundle and sell it
there is so little change in all of those games, i rather play in newground or armor game, not buying "free games" in steam
All the games have added content to them.
Not publicity, OST, extra content in the games and lots of artwork, interviews and extras. I think it worth it for 4 bucks
