I was expecting a twist at the end where the mom is like "no, sweetie I was making a stew FOR the rabbits"
Yeah and then every person she gave a rabbit to either let them go in the middle of the street, or ate them anyway. or fed them alive to their pets.

All I can think of, Poor Mom. She spent all that money on rabbit meat and her daughter gave it all away. Kiddo could have just eaten something else and left the stew for her mom. If I did that, my mother would have reacted completely different.

So long as they kill them quickly I don't see much wrong with it. Somebody has to cut the meat, just because it usually happens in a factory doesn't mean it doesn't happen at all. Maybe she had a cutting style and she cuts the portions in a different way? My mom hates the way our market people cut the chicken, so she cuts it herself. Guess the same thing happens there?
Well, she's dumped the rabbits right into pit of hell. Come on, who on earth think pet store is the best place for animals? I worked there for 6 months and we got more animals than we can handle so you can guess....Fighting, disease, injuries, etc. Some animals lose their body parts from fight, leaving us no choices but to put them to sleep. For animals it is more painful life than a quick death on kitchen table.

There was very little point to this story, to be honest. The only thing that happened was that a kid got mad at her mom for cooking meat, so she took the unnecessarily cutesified meat (let's be honest, no one keeps a box of live rabbits in their kitchen when intending to cook a stew; that's ridiculous and just plain sick) and ran around town dumping them on people who didn't want them, then bought a replacement vegan meal. That's not a story; that's just one thing that happened.
Even microfiction has to have some sort of plot -- a setup, conflict, and resolution -- to be interesting. There should have been a scene where the mom fights back and continues trying to make the rabbit stew, and then maybe the girl could have shown her something that convinced her not to, thus resolving the conflict and resulting in a satisfactory ending for all the characters.
As it currently is, this video is not interesting.
I personally find this a cute, whimsical, well-made idea, but if you prefer a more concrete story, then do that, I guess.

Watermellon Girl Rules If I were to make a video and put a lot of time and hard work into it, I would openly welcome constructive criticism. I didn't say the video was bad, only that it didn't have a story in it and that some things about it were unrealistic. While it's true that in the end it's up to the content creator what their work will be, a good artist takes their viewers' suggestions seriously. That doesn't mean they have to do what the viewers want, but it does mean thinking about different ideas and points of view that are presented to them.
Considering the above-average quality of this video's animation, I'm willing to bet this creator has been to some sort of art school and learned not to be offended by constructive criticism.

Actually, humans are born as herbivores, because of our teeth which are flat and not meant for eating meat.

The reason our teeth isn't as sharp as other omnivorous or carnivores is due to our use of fire and sharp tools which made eating and digesting food much easier. If we were really herbivores then we wouldn't be able to digest meat at all. Though if that said Wolfgang's logic is also faulty as being an Omnivore does not mean that we have to consume meat. In fact, being an Omnivore grants us a lot of freedom in what we can choose to consume and is one factor that allows us to be able to adapt to various environments throughout the world.
It doesn’t matter what we CAN eat, it just matters what we choose to eat. We have free will and we make ethical choices all the time. I don’t rob Grandmas just because I can.

No, actually the mother was preparing rabbit stew for guests, and would have probably gotten something else for her daughter, now instead her guests will be pissed off, and annoyed that there is only a medium ass vegan pizza. Which more than likely some of the guests will be allergic to as the child only thought of herself, and her own personal morals, other than other peoples.

MEH NAME To be fair, the description doesn't say she will do anything to help/save the rabbits but 'to be true to her lifestyle'. That's the goal here. For her to check off that little 'vegan' box on her weekly meal scheme. I mean those rabbits got a better chance in the process but not a great one. They've just been dumped at several places around the city with people who could just as easily eat, abuse or neglect them. She could have released them into the wild, or given them all to the pet shop or a shelter. And then she spent even more money on vegan fast food, which isn't going to be nearly as healthy, nutritional and fulfilling as a homecooked meal. She very well could have spent the money on an alternative to the rabbit meat instead. Probably would have been cheaper and her mum wouldn't have ended up wasting all those vegetables she laboured over.

+MEH NAME Aspiring vegetarian here. Don't have the freedom to actually live by the lifestyle or the money for supplements (as I already am low on iron, protein and b12), but I avoid meat and animal tested products wherever I can. I didn't say anything about it being propaganda. All I wanted to do was point out the flaw in your argument. Animated shorts are usually crafted with multiple layers of meaning, and I'm a huge fan of animation and finding those meanings. Considering the later works of the same animator, I was hoping this would have as much effort and depth put into it rather than just being meaningless fluff made apparently only to appeal to a vegan audience.
My problem is, the way it's presented doesn't put veganism in a very positive light at all. The story behind the animation could have been done much better in order to paint veganism in a positive light, and make the girl seem less selfish when she sacrifices a home-cooked meal and dumps rabbits on strangers (takes one home, too, despite knowing what her mum would do to it?)

They eat plants, grow and feed stronger animals like snakes or birds then they die by time or even stronger animals, bacteria and another things that make things deteorize make the animal turn into nutrients that plants use for growing and the cicle repeats. It's cute yes, But a real parent would have been beyond pissed considering how many rabbits she bought, and those furry bastards dont come cheap, not to mention the child is FORCING her lifestyle on her mom, she wants meat let her have it I doubt she's forcing her kid to eat meat.
Let's change the scenario. If the mom loved eating humans, we should let her because that's the mom's lifestyle choice?

So many parents force their lifestyle on their kids. My mom gave me meat as a kid and I didn't have a choice about it.
