For clarifications sake, the congressman asking the questions is Elijah Crane from Arizona. It should be noted he is a former Navy SEAL. His level of condensation and disrespect towards the law professor (Dr.) is absolutely unacceptable. “Tough guys” like Crane are often the most threatened by facts and the truth.
Good to know this Rep Crane has always resented chain of command. This is what his behavior tells me. Let's add insecure.

Here's the thing, the man attempting to ask the question has already made his mind up about what the answer is. This is called confirmation bias. He will not listen to any other explanation outside of the assumptions he's made himself. He had a conversation with himself in his own head and came to his own conclusion. Everything else is wrong and he has a need for those assumptions to confirmed. This is the largest problem we face in this country regardless of where anyone is on the political spectrum.
Remember, you have 2 ears but only 1 mouth. Always listen twice as much as you talk. Listen intently and NEVER be afraid to ask "Why," even to yourself. Ask yourself why you believe something and explore that. Explore other views and beliefs. True maturity is accepting that you will never know everything and you'll be wrong a lot, but it's okay to be wrong, just always learn from the mistake.

I don't think the Conservatives were able to understand what she was saying. They are too busied in their own ideas of what the First Amendments rules regarding Free Speech are, and which are wrong. Let's break it down more simply: 1. The government has a right to their opinion and has the right to express that opinion..2. The government has the right to fund research and fact-finding entities. 3. The government has a right to publish those findings and to SHARE IT WITH 3RD PARTY PRIVATELY OWNED BUSINESSES. 4. The government has a right to ASK those companies for help to spread that information and FIGHT MISINFORMATION. 5. THOSE PRIVATELY OWN COMPANIES have the right to censor information that they disagree with. THAT IS NOT GOVERNMENT CENSORSHIP. 5. The government has the right to NOT FUND OR SUPPORT COMPANIES THAT REPORT MISINFORMATION ie information that disagrees with it's opinion or that of the fact-finding entities that it supports. Failure to fund or support extremist ideas is NOT GOVERNMENT CENSORSHIP. --Dos that clear it up?

It's not "perceived power," it's called "expert power," which you would know if you'd graduated high school or went to college.
