God almighty! I wish they'd gone all out and made Charles I era as another installment of the show. That is a season I wouldn't miss for all the tea in China. also the Victorian. A little nibble of those 2, is just not enough. Oh, well, leave 'em wanting more!!

@@1HUSEINKAPETAN1 Bit of an odd comment considering it is Blackadder the 2nd and 3rd that take place during the height of the British slave trade whilst Victoria came to the throne 4 years after slavery was abolished. Not to say there wasn't racism in Victorian period but less than previous series which somehow managed to avoid it.
Considering the twist at the end of Blackadder's Christmas Carol, it would've been funny to watch Ebenezer going through the Victorian era as a "bad guy", having all the fun... And trying to make amends to the Queen after everything he said to her.

I think that's part of the suspense. The King could mostly certainly do so, and then Blackadder would have been killed as a traitor.

This Charles I has a totally different personality from the Cavalier Years Charles I.
That is because the cavalier Charles is modelled on Price Charles and this Sketch was actually performed at Prince Charles's birthday so was deemed to be in poor humour to poke fun at him at his own birthday...
