If I remember correctly, I used a line six pod go on this one. It had just some mild eq and compression. Everything else is natural or stock. I did change the strings to Elixirs
It's a passive bass. All three knobs are turned up all the maybe the tone knob is turned down a bit due to the brightness of the fresh strings. The secret ingredient is that whole step tuning, which is the same tuning that Matt Ramsey uses
The best most accurate cover of this bass classic. The feel, the sound, the groove and timing... to a tee. And those runs in the beginning and end showing how you can add to this master piece but keeping it true to how Ramsey made it sound. Great job, my man. Edit: and the tone of the bass. Spot on.
Thanks! The beginning part was just me messing around, lol. Though the rest was more of a study of Matt's insane playing. I only posted it on Facebook for giggles, but one of the musicians at my church convinced me to post it here. Best advice I took. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Recently, I did start thinking about that. I do admit I was just noodling at the beginning, but the rest was my attempt at replicating the tiny desk performance to the best of my ability. There may be some slight differences here and there, though. I really appreciate the feedback. It means a lot. ua-cam.com/video/wRwId2RfmfA/v-deo.html
@KJ-ho6sb just wanted something simple and passive so that I can just plug and play without having to worry about batteries and all of those knobs. I recently upgraded to a Lakland 55-02 though
Incrível a linha, que facilidade em executar, parabéns.
Fantástico 👏👏👏
how did you nail that tone on the V5? is there any EQ, compression, preamps added in post production?
