People new to kpop think that is always looked like this . No . It was a scandal to make your own music , it was a scandal to have hair in bright colours , having an art expo . There were no lightsticks before BigBang. They made TV shows fun because they were not afraid to spoil the perfect idol image by being silly . The first rapline . Before GD and TOP companies would train the weakest vocalist in the group to do some rap . This is why rappers had no respect for idols . The big fashion houses noticed GD and came to Korea . BigBang was a creative revolution and they have the courage to experiment , take new roads , open doors , challenge what was is accepted .
Gdragon ( the leader) is basically the idol of idols ! He has created the first lightstick of the industry, and many other new things never seen, as an artist he has no limits and he is worth checking out!!!!
Big Bang was literally everything. They're not active anymore as a group, but each member has been very successful as solo artists. If anything, GD and Taeyang are like two of the most successful soloists EVER, and it's wild that their massive success still doesnt eclipse the even more massive success that Big Bang had. I mean, they had a fandom, but whenever they released a song, literally everyone was listening, young, old, men, women, etc. Even if you didnt stan them, every other K-pop fan would know their song anyway because it's everywhere. Also, Winner has always had a discography and style that is very different from the typical YG style.
As you can see by the comments, BigBang is a group the warrants a closer look and more time spent on checking out their extensive discography. They are an OG group -- who debuted in 2006 -- that all other Kpop groups look up to and they are one of the groups that EVERYONE respects. They are one of the founders that made Kpop an international success. BigBang are the leaders of K-hip-hop and one of the most successful Kpop groups of their time. They are the group that made YG Entertainment one of the big three entertainment companies alongside SM and JYP. BigBang literally made YG what it is today. > The guy without the shirt standing on the van is Taeyang, vocalist and main dancer. > The cowboy and the astronaut are the same guy who's name is T.O.P., main rapper. > The guy in the sand is Sungri, maknae and lead vocalist. > The guy with the red hair is the leader and King of all Kings named G-Dragon, who is the songwriter and a main rapper, etc. (Pretty much the guy all Kpop rappers and everyone in the industry looks up to.) > The guy with his hair covering his eyes is Daesung, main vocal. The female dancer GD is tethered to on the leash in "Bang Bang Bang" is Parris Goebel who is from New Zealand and she is the choreographer for this song, and pretty much the majority of BigBang's songs. She is known as "BigBang's choreographer". If you think their MVs are hype, just wait until you see them perform their songs live, they are just as mind blowing, if not more, live than they are in their MVs, and they have just as many or more people on stage with them in their live performances as they do in the MVs.
The West came into contact with kpop relatively late, so it’s a pity that many people don’t know BIGBANG. Or the first song that most people come into contact with BIGBANG is bangbangbang. They think this is what BB is all about, but this is just one of their many music styles. BB is an endless treasure. In Asia, BIGBANG is still number one, even though they have barely made a comeback in 7 years. GD is still the KING OF KPOP that no one can surpass. In China, BIGBANG and GD have fans on music platforms that no one can surpass, even the most popular BLACK PINK and BTS. Because we know KPOP earlier, we understand better The highest level.
You guys should check out their live performances! They are the best in Kpop when it comes live performances. Their Live of Bang Bang Bang in Osaka or Seoul during their 1to10 tour is amazing. Thanks for reacting to BigBang.
Bigbang is the biggest group to ever exist in this industry i just left kpop when they went on hiatus lol oh and G-Dragon is THE artist there’s no one who comes near him, God it’s been so long since i heard this song
this is the legendary group of kpop, king of the king, idol of idols, you'll see how talented 2nd generation and its literally the best generation in kpop industry, more 2nd gen reaction please
Here is an extensively long introduction and brief history of Bigbang and a bit of random kpop fan culture rant at the end as I got a bit carried away with my novel here but I'll just leave it there. Hehe. They debuted in 2006 from YG Entertainment. They were not super successfull right from the start but with Lies in 2007 and Haru Haru in 2008 they catapulted to superstardom in South Korea. They grew bigger with each comeback and started to get international fame too. And this was before streaming, UA-cam and social media were huge like they are now. They are really diverse musically as they really like to experiment with their music, you'll never know what to expect from them.... pop-rock to ballads to EDM to old school rap and everything in between. I think that is one of the biggest reasons why they are so loved by both kpop fans and the general public. Never trust a kpop fan who doesn't know Bigbang (or the other 2nd gen legends). They have a hand in everything regarding their music, writing and producing (kpop idols didn't have any creative freedom back in the day, the companies did everything. Bigbang and namely GD changed that), they fund their concert tours 100% themselves, they design the lighting, stages, setlists, arrangements etc for concerts. They are hugely respected in the kpop industry and they are the blueprint that other companies use to form their new groups. Labels used to bring trainees to Bigbang concerts when they were active to show the trainees stage presence, how to engage the audience and how to perform. ”Even if Bigbang isn’t your bias, they are your bias’ bias.” Bigbang is basically five (yes, five) very skilled, talented and charismatic soloists and when you have them in the same group as Bigbang, magic happens. The easiest way to recognize the members is to learn the voice of each member because they are so different, and they change hair color and style all the time, altough they do look very different form each other in my opinion, but voices are the safest bet for starters. The members are GD (G-Dragon): Leader, Rapper, Vocals, Producer, Songwriter, Real name: Kwon Jiyong, born 1988 (high tone , a bit nasally and unique voice) TOP: Rapper, (minimal) Vocals, Producer, Songwriter, Actor, Art collector, Real name: Choi Seunghyun, born 1987 (deep and low voice) Taeyang: Vocals, Producer, Songwriter, Real name: Dong Youngbae, born 1988 (the smooth R&B voice) Daesung: Vocals, Producer, Songwriter, Actor, Drummer, Real name: Kang Daesung, born 1989 (most of his solo stuff is under the name D-Lite in Japan) (Powerful, husky voice) ex-member Seungri: Vocals, Producer, Songwriter, Actor, Real name: Lee Seunghyun, born 1990 (light pretty voice) Seungri left BB in 2019 due to a scandal but as he was our maknae for 13 years I'm including him here and he's in all of BB's MVs except Still Life. The "scandal" was a super messy, very public and complicated witch hunt. I can write a separate comment on that. There is A LOT of misinformation going around on this Burning Sun scandal and especially about Seungri so when reading about this be careful of the sources of the info. I would recommend going with translated official statements and not articles/tabloids (as they are 90% wrong) to get the correct idea on what happened. Seungri was the core of BB and I don't think they will make an actual comeback as Bigbang without him. Still Life was only them fulfilling a promise to us VIPs. As GD said some time ago, Bigbang will always be 5. We'll have to wait and see what happens in the future. Personally, I'm hoping they will unite under their own label (maybe TOP's label?), make a comeback and give zero f**ks about what everybody says. They don't really dance during their MVs and lives (like pretty much all other kpop groups do) but they are talented dancers, especially Taeyang, GD and Seungri. When you get to know them more you will see that TOP is the greatest dancer of all!! LOL. Seungri even had a dance academy and many idols trained there, like J-Hope (BTS) and Minzy (2NE1). BB are the kings of live performances!! They like to arrange their songs differently for pretty much every concert and live show. They have had the same live band with them since 2012. The Band Six was put together by the request of GD and they toured with BB for years until they went to hiatus for military and the band has since toured with other YG groups, mainly Blackpink. My personal favorites live are Café (MADE Tour), Tell Me Goodbye (Japan Dome Tour X), Candle/Fools Only Tears (Love & Hope Tour 2011), Haru Haru (acoustic version in any tour, try the Japan Dome Tour X for a japanese version) and Sober (MADE Tour with Daesung on the drums). I highly recommend watching a concert, the Japan Dome Tour X 2014-2015 is one of the best ones and the MADE or 0to10 tours are also great ones. But to fully grasp the impact they have had on the whole kpop industry and it's structure, here is a list of some things that are very normal now in kpop but what Bigbang started and changed: - Lightsticks (GD invented the concept and designed BB's yellow crown lightstick, the bang bong) - First fandom name: VIP - To have actual "real" rappers in a group and not a group member who can't sing well enough and was trained to rap here and there. The first real rapline GD&TOP (and they actually have an album together from 2011). - TOP was the first underground rapper, he went by the name Tempo, a "real rapper" turned idol (turned into a successfull actor) - Rapper combo with higher voice and a deeper voice and at least one deep voiced rapper in a group. - Writing their own songs and producing their own music (mainly GD but all of them write and produce). So now younger idols have the chance to make their own music thanks to GD and BB breaking the stereotype of idols. - Different genres of music started to be more common in Kpop thanks to them (Hip Hop, EDM...) as they were exploring different genres and making variety of differend genre music. - Combining different genres in one song became popular thanks to them. Like Bang bang bang. (They were not the first to do this but they made it popular) - Fantastic Baby started the EDM era in Kpop. - First ones to have international collaborations (Missy Elliot, Pixie Lott, Flo Rida, Skrillex, Diplo..) - Solo carees, back in the day idols started their solo careers only after disbanding, but BB members wanted to go solo and stay in BB. And they have done it super well.. All of them have a very successful solo career. - Every group having a maknae (youngest) position. BB has two Seunghyuns, TOP and Seungri. They used to call Seungri maknae not to confuse the two with each other and now every single group has a maknae. - Khiphop community doesn’t take kpop idols seriously but GD and TOP are the only few ones who have the respect of Khiphop. - The first brand global ambassador GD with Chanel. - First high fashion brand sponsorship (GD in Heartbraker MV in 2009 with LVMH). - Huge international success before social media and streaming were a thing. - First real world tour spanning Asia, America and Europe (Alive tour 2012-2013) - First international award (MTV Europe Music Awards: Best Worldwide Act 2011) - First mini albums - They always were and are themselves, goofy, weird and funny. So group members now can also be more free to who they are and not signed to a certain role in a group. But with 4th and 5th gen now it's getting worse again. - High fashion in kpop (mainly GD.. and TOP) - Crazy hair colors (mainly GD again) - The list goes on.. "BB started a revolution that made Kpop thrive to where it is today." "YG made BIGBANG but BIGBANG made YG." - Yang Hyun Suk (YG himself, the founder of YG ent.) YG ent is one of the "BIG 4" all thanks to BB. Many kpop fans doesn't seem to know this, but YGE was extremely poor (like going bankrupt level) and a tiny company when BB were trainees and debuted and thanks to their success (and 2NE1) they are now one of the biggest companies in South Korea (much like what happened later with BTS and BigHit that newer fans do know about). BB was responsible for over 70% of YGEs income at one point and for some time too, 2NE1 did the rest. They've had scandals over the years (some real and some not) that has caused them to have a somewhat "problematic" image especially among the younger kpop fans. But in my opinion most of it is just South Korean media (and knets) hating on them (they always have) and them being grown up men just living their life in a super conservative world of kpop idols. They have never cared about the clean idol image, they smoke, party, drink and date as they wish. What I personally love the most about BB is that they really don't give a f**k about anything anymore, they just do what they like the most. With this modern era of kpop with the super conservative rules and squeky clean images it'll be fun to see BB shake things up when they finally appear in the public again with BB or solo promotions!! Already started with Tae and Dae. The world of kpop was very different when I started my kpop journey in 2010... groups were collaborating, male and female idols were collaborating and were friends in public, idols were more mature compared to todays idols (as a 37 year old, I prefer adult idols and a bit more mature group consepts), the comeback consepts were much more varied than they are now, no useless "scandals" over every little thing and the fandoms weren't nearly as toxic as they are now, ah the golden era of kpop. I miss those days. Newer fans have no idea what they have missed out on. They are hilarious and suprisingly relatable so variety shows are a must: Happy Together, Weekly Idol, Radio Star, all the Running Man episodes with BB are golden, Run Bigbang Scout and The MADE Movie.
🎉🎉🎉YOU MADE IT TO YG'S FIRST IDOL GROUP. 🎉Bigbang AKA your favorite kpop group's favorite kpop group. Literally modern kpop is built on their creativity. They were the first group to dye their hair bright unusual colors, the first group to have designed lightsticks, The first group to write and produce their own music. The first to put an emphasis on hip-hop with the first rapline. The group that popularized mini albums. BIGBANG IS BIGBANG.
Well, BIGBANG has always been BOLD when it comes to their craft. While others were playing safe, BIGBANG was facing controversy bcoz of their bold idea which later on got adapted by companies and their talents and became the "norm" or "usual" KPOP image. . . That's why if one tries to really deep dive to BIGBANG history, one will know how extensive their influence is in KPOP from their generation until today's generation.
Big bang is literally BiG BANG! I started stan them when watching their documentary at MTV on how the group was formed. GD was an ex trainee from SM. At oone point GD is the persaon with the most copyright revenue in Korea.
There isn’t, hasn’t been nor will ever be a group quite like bigbang. Their achievements and influence both as a group and as inviduals is unmatched and they are quite rightfully known as kings of kpop. Bang bang bang is nowhere near my favourite from them but it is a certified banger and I wish I could’ve seen it live but unfortunately that ship has sailed unless a miracle happens. But their discography is a treasure trove of hit after hit. My faves are Blue, Let’s not fall in love, tell me goodbye, last dance and the acoustic version of Haru Haru.
I guess we can just hope and wait for them to reunite one day. Well at least 4 of them. Who knows maybe when T.O.P. lives out his other dreams like flying to the moon and stuff. But at least Taeyang is doing solo stuff again so we arent completely without their music. I wonder though if GD is considering doing some new solo stuff.
Oh my god, that prodigy comparison is actually so real. For this song at least. Bigbang are pretty diverse. Hope you do dive into them - they're a very influential group in kpop! Also, very fun. Haru Haru, Fantastic Baby, Loser would prob be my starting recs (cover early, middle, later bb). Fxxk it, zutter, blue alternatively
Yess love Big Bang! lol I am so excited to see you guys jump into some YG boy groups! "Fantastic Baby" "FXXK IT" "Loser" and "Bae Bae" I love them all actually
Omg Legends of K-Pop! They got me into K-POP and their discography is stellar! Please react to their older songs! I am looking forward to seeing more of your reactions to them.
Big Bang is the idol of idols. A lot of male idols admire / look up to them. Their album MADE is one of those albums where every song could be a single. Their lyrics are amazing too. Their maknae Seungri did some awful stuff, and since then the group is practically disbanded. But G-Dragon, Taeyang, TOP and Daesung are incredible artists on their own. And I guess what all YG groups have in common is amazing rappers, and songs where the rapping parts actually fit well.
If you see Kpop history in literature and articles, you'd notice that Bigbang is one of the groups that actually pioneered kpop to the west. They went to MTV TRL and then went to AMA's and beat Britney spears as global artist awards. G-dragon alone has started many groundbreaking achievements and standards in kpop. Taeyang and Daesung also popular soloists in Korea and Japan. TOP in his own lane with his distinct sound and love for contemporary arts. I'm not going to talk abt the other member but just know that during BIGBANG's active era, it was peak kpop.
...when you're ready, here's their iconic "Triple Threat" concert performance of *BANG BANG BANG/FANTASTIC BABY/SOBER* from their 10th Anniversary Tour, the audience was given LED color-changing bracelets that were controlled by the lighting director, making them part of the light show! (subtitles available) ua-cam.com/video/lBll0uw27jM/v-deo.htmlsi=tzBqj5viCORhkrYp
LOL!!! "It's a Doctor Who reference." I was thinking about THAT too! OMG!!! I laughed so hard when you said that. Matt Smith! With a little David Tennant and River too when thinking about that astronaut and face thing.
thanks for featuring Big Bang. should you wish to pursue this path, watch their live performances, especially their concerts. no one puts on a show like Big Bang.
The kings of K-pop The kings of live performances The trendsetters The idols of all idols The role models of most idols today. The group that introduced me to Korean music 🎶
my 2nd gen heart is fluttering Big Bang is definitely the idol of idols. They are super famous before. Every 2nd gen fans no matter your a fan or not knows them. They just ICONIC. You should definitely watch their live performances esp the MAMA AWARDS ones. Let me tell you, MAMA before is much more CRAZIER than now. If you even try to compare it, MAMA now is so much more boring. I recommend you to watch the entire MAMA show, not just during Big Bang performances.
Kings of Kpop, while yes very known for upbeat hip hop vibe songs they have a lot of different types of songs. If I were to suggest songs from different eras I would say early hits: Haru Haru and Lies; early 2010's: Fantastic Baby and Bad Boy; later pre military era: Fxxk It and Sober.
Bigbang is the OG of OGs. They have so many great songs, so many iconic moments that changed the game and eventually became the norm, and each member is a household name in the industry for sure. They brought me to kpop which eventually led me to EXO! I’m glad you’re learning about the original kings now too! Fun fact, in Bigbang’s live performance of their song Bae Bae in 2015, EXO had a little cameo participation. You might be interested to see that after you’ve probably gone through a few Bigbang songs so here it is. ua-cam.com/video/vXM3VBusl3U/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
the kings of kpop, G-Dragon being THE King of kpop! ❤❤❤ kpop is what it is today because of BigBang. They’ve inspired all kpop groups from the 3rd to the 5th gen. People can fight what they want, but there’s no other kpop group bigger than them in terms of influence and impact on kpop ❤️❤️❤️
Big Bang, and especially G-dragon, are a huge deal. So much innovation. Fun fact- if you wonder where all the hair dying began, it’s all G-dragons fault.
Yes, Bigbang! This is my ultimate group, I love them! They are THE group that changed the path of all the kpop male groups that came after them: G Dragon, the leader of the group (with red hair in this MV) was the first idol to write and produce for his group. Before him, idols were just supposed to sing and dance what they were given, but YG let him do his own stuff and gave him creative control over the group. As someone else mentioned here, he designed the first kpop lightstick (a gold/yellow crown that looks like a flower) and made "airport fashion" a thing. Also, thanks to Bigbang it's normal for us fans to expect new looks and hair colors with every comeback on 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation groups. Their discography is as interesting and varied as Stray Kids discography, they tried almost every genre out there, their lyrics can be very profound and gut wrenching ad well as fun and nonsensical, but most of their videos do not have lyrics save their two last MVs, F**k It and Still Life, so it might be worth watching some lyric videos of their songs even if you do it off-camera. I see a lot of them in Stray Kids, maybe that's why I fell for their charms. All 5 members have solo music that is worth watching, and they all write their music, which might interest you because it shows how different they are musically speaking and it explains how they made Bigbang such an impactful group, beloved even today by the general public, not only by kpop fans or their fandom, which is called V.I.P. I will mention that the maknae Seungri was involved in a terrible controversy which led to him serving time and until today has divided public opinion dramatically, a lot of people still today accuse him of horrible things he didn't do, was not investigated, charged nor convicted of (although he was charged with other things that eventually led him to serve time) so I would urge you to please investigate thoroughly if you ever want to know what happend and which led to the group's disbandment because for them it was 5 or nothing. If you don't want to know about what happened, that's ok too, and just enjoy their legacy for what it is. I would recommend Haru Haru, Lies, Blue, Monster, Fantastic Baby, F**k It, Last Dance, Loser, We Like to Party (this video is hilarious), If You (no MV, but they released a live version in Tour Report in Bangkok, that's how you can find it, and is considered the MV for this song), Still Life (their last song, so it might be better to watch it further along so you can see how different it is from the rest) and also their live performances are AMAZING, and you won't have problem reacting to them, I have never seen anyone get their videos blocked. I hope to see more Bigbang reactions from you guys, thank you.
THEEE KINGS :) No BigBang no party 🥳🥳 I hope one day they come back but like really come back and dont give us song one song like Still life that sounded like a good bye song. I am soo sad I didnt know about them when they started out and ruled the kpop industry...I bet the concerts were nuts. Their award show performances definitely are, which btw are worth to check out. This reaction made me the happiest today. BB finally made it to the channel. wohoooo Ribbit ribbit 🤣
Great Reaction Along For The Ride! There is on more group their name is SECHSKIES! And of course PSY - Gangnam Style! Has 5 Billion Views! As for BigBang! I call them The Rolling Stones of K-pop! I wish you could check out G-Dragon and Taeyang Good Boy! One of my favorite subunits!👑🙏🏻
In 2020, Big Bang was supposed to perform at Coachella in a huge comeback and BTS was supposed to have a huge US stadium tour (I had tickets to one of the Chicago shows at Soldier Field). Those are two things that Covid stole from us, and I'm still not over it.
You just discovered BIGBANG and I just discovered you…and I’m a Stay like you as well as a VIP. It was bb that led me to SKZ. The one with the pink hair that sings first is Taeyang, he has a very famous solo song called Eyes Nose Lips, Changbin and Chan sing it beautifully in a karaoke. There are 3 members of bb with signatures, Daesung (power voice) covers his eyes with his hair like a bowl cut because people kept saying he was ugly. He no longer does that now. T.O.P (deep voice rapper with tall hat) always covers his body with clothes because he doesn’t like to be touched. Taeyang is the opposite, he is often seen shirtless, people joke he is allergic to shirts. T.O.P is the first underground rapper to become an idol and the first with a deep voice making it a necessity for future groups - hence Haruto of Treasure and Felix of SkZ. G-Dragon (GD) is the first idol to make and produce his own music for the group opening the door for great artists like 3Racha. First to give a name to their fans, VIP. First to want a lightstick to identify which are bb fans so he designed one, the beautiful yellow crown you see in the crowd. This is such a long comment but I’m excited to meet Stays that like bb. Last thing I’ll say since you want to see more bb is this: their MVs do not have English subtitles so google “Dorian Gray BIGBANG”, Dorian is a VIP that to this day adds English subtitles to their songs, mostly their live performances and you won’t get hit with copyright issues, they are safe to use. Dorian’s channel is where reactors go to. Their live performances are amazing, the only song I would react to the mv first before the live version is Haru Haru because the story is very important.
BigBang is such a big city stop on your kpop journey. Icons. So many 3rd gen idols have a member of this group as their inspiration. Taeyang (pink hair) and GDragon (red hair) in particular. Also told you youd recognise more and more songs lol mega famous doesn't even cut it 😂 Fantastic baby next!
BIGBANG are an ICON in Korean music industry. A LEGEND. They have been dubbed as the KINGS OF KPOP for a very long time. (Nowadays, our local media call them the Emperors of Kpop). Take note, they aren't called KINGS because of popularity alone. Think of a KING that leads, make changes and help their kingdom prosper. That's what BIGBANG did for the idol industry. They're actually the pioneer in a lot of things, from the lightsticks and changing haircolors/hairstyles, tattoos, going shirtless. They don't keep up with the "good boy idol" image. They're Big BIG in Korea, Korean people say that BIGBANG is like picking 5 superstars and form into one group. They're BIG and respected as solo artist. They have a song for every mood, hope you'll dive more into them especially their ballads. The group produce compose and write their own music and is very involved in everything from producing to stages, concerts.
as much as i love the banger song, their balad is another level, congratz you found the legends and please do react “if you” and “bang bang bang” live version❤❤❤❤
BigBang - Monster, one of their best songs. G-Dragon - Untitled and Crooked. It is no wonder that they are living legends and have the title of "the kings of k-pop"
Not only Ateez did a cover of this song. Among many there is also Dreamcatcher. I think you will like Dami's rap part. Speaking of covers, Dreamcatcher (SuA, Siyeon, Yoohyeon as a subunit "YaYa Time") also did a cover of Winner's Really Really.
Start from the MADE album and work backward. React to both MV and Live performance side by side and stop whenever you don’t feel like it. Zero commitment needed. But I bet you won’t be able to stop once you start going down this glorious VIP rabbit hole 😉
If you want to watch 1 video to see the history of YG prior to BigBang, I would suggest "Get Busy" by Perry. It features Jinu and Sean from JinuSean, Masta Wu, Lexy, and Danny from 1TYM, and was produced by Teddy from 1TYM (the house producer for YG that produced about 1/2 of BigBang's songs, most of 2NE1's songs, and almost all of BlackPink's songs, as well as many others.)
Please react to "Loser" by them but it has to be with English subs. Subs are not included in the main mv but there are a lot of videos made by fans with English subtitles. Highly recommended 💛🫶🏻🫰🏻
👏👏👏
Gdragon ( the leader) is basically the idol of idols ! He has created the first lightstick of the industry, and many other new things never seen, as an artist he has no limits and he is worth checking out!!!!
Yes, also the person who started kpop airport fashion
I don't care what other people say , bigbang is the king of kpop 🤟🤟🤟
Big Bang was literally everything. They're not active anymore as a group, but each member has been very successful as solo artists. As you can see by the comments, BigBang is a group the warrants a closer look and more time spent on checking out their extensive discography.
(Pretty much the guy all Kpop rappers and everyone in the industry looks up to.)
> The guy with his hair covering his eyes is Daesung, main vocal.
The female dancer GD is tethered to on the leash in "Bang Bang Bang" is Parris Goebel who is from New Zealand and she is the choreographer for this song, and pretty much the majority of BigBang's songs. She is known as "BigBang's choreographer".
If you think their MVs are hype, just wait until you see them perform their songs live, they are just as mind blowing, if not more, live than they are in their MVs, and they have just as many or more people on stage with them in their live performances as they do in the MVs.
yep - this!
"BIGBANG MADE YG" - YG CEO
Before Bigbang yg is just a small company
Yes, LIVE BigBang performances is where it’s at!
Or MAMA 2015.... probably the best when it comes to award shows. Yeah and the one when GD dissed MAMA during MAMA xD
The king of K-pop🔥
this is the group that made me fall in love with kpop in 2009. The loves of my life.
This is the group that brought me into kpop
Bigbang is the biggest group to ever exist in this industry i just left kpop when they went on hiatus lol
oh and G-Dragon is THE artist there’s no one who comes near him, God it’s been so long since i heard this song
this is the legendary group of kpop, king of the king, idol of idols, you'll see how talented 2nd generation and its literally the best generation in kpop industry, more 2nd gen reaction please
Finally! The icons🤩 You should do Loser or fantastic Baby next!
This is one rabbit hole you must go down - looking forward to your journey !
”Even if Bigbang isn’t your bias, they are your bias’ bias.”
Bigbang is basically five (yes, five) very skilled, talented and charismatic soloists and when you have them in the same group as Bigbang, magic happens. The easiest way to recognize the members is to learn the voice of each member because they are so different, and they change hair color and style all the time, altough they do look very different form each other in my opinion, but voices are the safest bet for starters.
The members are
GD (G-Dragon): Leader, Rapper, Vocals, Producer, Songwriter, Real name: Kwon Jiyong, born 1988 (high tone , a bit nasally and unique voice)
TOP: Rapper, (minimal) Vocals, Producer, Songwriter, Actor, Art collector, Real name: Choi Seunghyun, born 1987 (deep and low voice)
Taeyang: Vocals, Producer, Songwriter, Real name: Dong Youngbae, born 1988 (the smooth R&B voice)
Daesung: Vocals, Producer, Songwriter, Actor, Drummer, Real name: Kang Daesung, born 1989 (most of his solo stuff is under the name D-Lite in Japan) (Powerful, husky voice)
ex-member Seungri: Vocals, Producer, Songwriter, Actor, Real name: Lee Seunghyun, born 1990 (light pretty voice)
Seungri left BB in 2019 due to a scandal but as he was our maknae for 13 years I'm including him here and he's in all of BB's MVs except Still Life.
But to fully grasp the impact they have had on the whole kpop industry and it's structure, here is a list of some things that are very normal now in kpop but what Bigbang started and changed:
- Lightsticks (GD invented the concept and designed BB's yellow crown lightstick, the bang bong)
- First fandom name: VIP
- To have actual "real" rappers in a group and not a group member who can't sing well enough and was trained to rap here and there. The first real rapline GD&TOP (and they actually have an album together from 2011).
- TOP was the first underground rapper, he went by the name Tempo, a "real rapper" turned idol (turned into a successfull actor)
- Rapper combo with higher voice and a deeper voice and at least one deep voiced rapper in a group.
(They were not the first to do this but they made it popular)
- Fantastic Baby started the EDM era in Kpop.
- First ones to have international collaborations (Missy Elliot, Pixie Lott, Flo Rida, Skrillex, Diplo..)
- Solo carees, back in the day idols started their solo careers only after disbanding, but BB members wanted to go solo and stay in BB.
- First real world tour spanning Asia, America and Europe (Alive tour 2012-2013)
- First international award (MTV Europe Music Awards: Best Worldwide Act 2011)
- First mini albums
- They always were and are themselves, goofy, weird and funny. So group members now can also be more free to who they are and not signed to a certain role in a group. But with 4th and 5th gen now it's getting worse again.
- High fashion in kpop (mainly GD.. and TOP)
- Crazy hair colors (mainly GD again)
- The list goes on..
"BB started a revolution that made Kpop thrive to where it is today."
"YG made BIGBANG but BIGBANG made YG." - Yang Hyun Suk (YG himself, the founder of YG ent.)
YG ent is one of the "BIG 4" all thanks to BB.
Such a legendary group ❤
BigBang are legends!
The only group im stanning… my ultimate artist group. Forever VIP
Hyviä lemppareita🤌
The emperors of kpop 💛 More bigbang please, especially live
BIGBANG finally!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Yayyyyyy your first taste of the legends BigBang! (Fandom is VIPs)
Every song WAS a good enough to be a single. 10 out of the 11 tracks on the MADE album all charted at nos. 1 - 3 in the korean charts.
1 Big Bang no está disuelto y 2 no mientas sobre Seungri deja de dar información falsa sobre ambos y denunciaré tu cuenta por difamación
Stop spreading false information. Seungri did nothing wrong. Read his court's reports.
ua-cam.com/video/9EEp1q_iMYc/v-deo.htmlsi=ttoxpRJBKJyvGmP_@@SANDRIUXISS this shows you how disgusting Seungri really is
We need more BigBang❤🎉
Bigbang definitely was my first intro to kpop and I’m forever grateful for that! I love their song “Loser”… check it out guys 💕
BIGBANG are the Kings of K-Pop
The kings of K-pop
The kings of live performances
The trendsetters
The idols of all idols
The role models of most idols today.
The group that introduced me to Korean music 🎶
my 2nd gen heart is fluttering
Big Bang is definitely the idol of idols.
#BIGBANG #LEGENDS #KINGS 👑👑👑👑👑
This is their most viewed song but their ballads r what defined them do checkout their slower song they r excellent.
KING OF KPOP👑
King!
the kings of kpop, G-Dragon being THE King of kpop! ❤❤❤
kpop is what it is today because of BigBang. They’ve inspired all kpop groups from the 3rd to the 5th gen. People can fight what they want, but there’s no other kpop group bigger than them in terms of influence and impact on kpop ❤️❤️❤️
The kings 👑👑👑
YOU SHOULD REACT TO THIS SONG AT MAMA 2015 !! SO YOU’LL KNOW WHY THEY ARE CALLED THE KING OF KPOP !!
Yeeess BIGBANG 🎉🎉🎉

I am soo sad I didnt know about them when they started out and ruled the kpop industry...I bet the concerts were nuts. Their award show performances definitely are, which btw are worth to check out.
This reaction made me the happiest today. BB finally made it to the channel. wohoooo

LIVE PERFORMANCES are where the BIGBANG MAGIC is.
Big Bang un jour Big Bang toujours 💛🌼
In 2020, Big Bang was supposed to perform at Coachella in a huge comeback and BTS was supposed to have a huge US stadium tour (I had tickets to one of the Chicago shows at Soldier Field). Those are two things that Covid stole from us, and I'm still not over it.
Legends 💣🔥👏👏👏
The legends
KING OF KPOP 🔥 👑 🛐
Luv bigbang❤gd❤
🥰 i would recommend doing Let's not fall in love and fantastic baby next 😘 this group was insanely good.
Also fans have uploaded translated versions of the songs if you'd like to watch those instead. They are lower quality though
Big Bang K-pop kings bow down for the OG,S
BigBang is such a big city stop on your kpop journey. Icons. So many 3rd gen idols have a member of this group as their inspiration. Taeyang (pink hair) and GDragon (red hair) in particular. Also told you youd recognise more and more songs lol mega famous doesn't even cut it 😂
Fantastic baby next!
More bigbang lezz goooo🔥🔥🔥done subscribe here
I was about to say that if you want to see Daesung's eyes you watch his new song Falling Slowly but then I realised Daesung is not in the MV 😂.
Bang Bang is only one of Big Bang's facade.
react to more BIGBANG! i recommend ‘Loser’ u have to check out the lyrics as well
Jika anda melihat BIG BANG, groub lain terlihat biasa saja
Thanks for the Reaction 🙂
BIGBANG 😘
big bang, the idols of the idol.
if u love your idol or artist, fat chance that their idol is bigbang or gdragon
King of kpop❤️
V.I.P 👑
NEXT
BIGBANG - FXXK 🔥🔥🔥
BigBang Fastastic Baby
I miss BIGBANG so much 😩💕
BIGBANG are an ICON in Korean music industry.
VIP until whenever 👑👑👑👑👑
KINGS, kpop blueprint 🎉🎉
BIGBANG is the KINGS for sure ❤
Are we deep diving into Bigbang??? You HAVE to watch the live performances. I'm hear for the journey.
Please watch BIGBANG Live MAMA 2015
BigBang - Monster, one of their best songs. G-Dragon - Untitled and Crooked. It is no wonder that they are living legends and have the title of "the kings of k-pop"
Guide Big Bang pleaseee They are amazing
FXXK IT, Sober and Loser are my suggestions
Please react more of BIGBANG
Not only Ateez did a cover of this song. Among many there is also Dreamcatcher. I think you will like Dami's rap part. Speaking of covers, Dreamcatcher (SuA, Siyeon, Yoohyeon as a subunit "YaYa Time") also did a cover of Winner's Really Really.
Y’all should react to lalala by big bang
Please react to Fxxk It, Bae Bae and Zutter (the last one is by the rappers G-Dragon and T.O.P, it's hilariusly absurd)
