Iam 25 korean boy. Please trust me!! Haru haru, lies, sunset glow, last farewell are Big Bang's 4th consecutive super mega hit songs in the early days. The music videos for these four songs were so popular at the time that they were parodied on numerous TV programs, by students, and by adults. It was literally a craze. Four songs are still considered among the greatest songs of all time. Since then, they have had the most hit songs in Korean history through group, sub units and solo activities and are the group that has enjoyed the heyday for the longest time. Recently, they became the only Korean singer to top the music charts in the 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s with the song “Still Life.” Big Bang has the most hit songs as a group and as a solo artist. Big Bang's music video is good, but I recommend watching the lyrics and live performance.
They are the first group in K-pop history to perform both as a group and as a solo artist. Before that, kpop groups only pursued solo activities after the group disbanded. And each member has at least one solo hit song that any Korean would know. So their nickname was the Avengers of K-pop. In addition, for the first time in K-pop history, an album was also released with a subunit called GD&Top, which is also the first such subunit in history. This was also a huge hit, and GD & Taeyang, which came out after it, was also a huge hit. In this way, Big Bang has many first titles in Korean history and has paved the way for the current K-pop. And the most important thing is that in Korea, K-pop idols had a strong image of being good-looking, not talented, and like they were made in a factory. Their Acting skills were great too, these guys are not Actors. Laslty - they were all good dancers also. Actually the story is a bit more complicated, G Dragon and the girl have a relationship, she discovers that he has cancer, and in her mind she thinks "I know he will suffer a lot, so I will make him think that I am being unfaithful, this way he will hate me and if I die he won't feel sorry". So he makes her and TOP, his best friend, believe that she is now with him. At the end when she is in the hospital Taeyang calls G Dragon to go to the hospital. Here the two meet and TOP tells him the truth.

Big Bang’s If You is one of K-pop’s best ballads… Daesung recently performed it on Lee Mujin’s service and it’s goosebump inducing. Also, Taeyang’s solo Eyes, Nose, Lips is an iconic ballad too. Highly recommend both!

I love this song so much! One of my all time favourites. The live acoustic version is amazing, especially the Made tour in Seoul where the whole audience is singing along. Highly recommend checking it out!

The first KPop song I learned verbatim. You would think I’m fluent in Korean. Haru Haru is such an anthem.
Jesus, when was the last time VIPs listened to the Original version of Haru haru? They always change the arrangement when they sing it now. With the acoustic version or the mixed version or my personal favorite that they only did on the 0.To.10 Japan tour the smooth R&B version. That's why we always listen to the live version. It's always better.
The orchestra is my fav version,they performed it on their Japan tour back in 2013 if I remember it correctly.
Bigbang haru haru is one of the legendary hits the meaning of it means day by day. The story of the video is G-Dragon think he is betrayed and being cheated on by his girlfriend with his friend T.O.P. that's why you always see them fighting every time he see them two together he loses it but it's not the case she is not cheating T.O.P knows that she is sick but she doesn't know how to tell G-Dragon she gave him the ring to give back to him because she believes she's not going to make it what you see she didn't
So here is how I interpret the story in BigBang's "Haru Haru" MV. First off, it's not a love triangle like some people first think.
T.O.P was doing the girl a favor and they were trying to spare GD the pain of watching his girlfriend die. The girl and GD were in love and the girl got sick and she knew she was dying. She didn't want to put GD through the pain of seeing her get sicker and die, so she figured the easiest why for him to get over her once she was gone was to make him mad at her. So she came up with a plan and asked T.O.P. to "please act like you have feelings for me and that you are stealing me away from GD."
Essentially, the girlfriend was thinking that, "If GD is mad at me it will be easier for me to say goodbye and for him to get over me once I am gone." So T.O.P reluctantly plays along. That's why GD is so angry because he thinks his best friend is betraying him; and that's why T.O.P acts so smug to make GD believe the role he is supposed to be playing.
In the end, though, everyone realizes that GD needs to know what is happening and he should be there to say goodbye, so Taeyang goes against the girl's wishes and calls GD to tell him the girl is in the hospital and he needs to get there right away. When GD gets to the hospital T.O.P tells him what was really going on and explains that the ring he exchanged with the girl and the "proposal" he witnessed was all an act and the couple ring was really meant for GD. The girl never stopped loving him and they were all doing this to try and protect him from the pain of losing her, etc. The sad thing is GD didn't make it in time and the girl ended up dying on the operating table.
What you saw was a flashback of what it was like when GD and the girl were happy in their relationship. When you saw her cry and smile she was sad remembering the happy times in her life, which included GD. It wasn't the future, but it was the past. Or maybe what she wished she could have had if she had lived long enough.
"Haru Haru" was one of the numerous songs wrote by G-Dragon as part of BigBang's third extended play album, Stand Up, which came out in 2008. (The majority of BigBang's songs are wrote and produced by GD.)
It makes more sense once you realize that what T.O.P. is saying to GD when he gives him the ring is "Sorry for lying". The whole relationship between T.O.P. and the girl was staged to spare GD from having to go through being with her since she already knows she has cancer.
Do the lyrics make that clearer?? I feel like this would have been impossible to guess without them
@@alongfortheridereactsremember with Kpop the MV’s don’t align with the meaning of the song lyrics. Better to react to the song and less on the MV or react to the MV and less on the song or find a balance. Unfortunately with older MV’s when you’re reacting to those without the translations you’ll spend too much focus guessing. Most of the 2nd gens MV’s have good translation sites out there you can use to make reaction videos.

Next I would say go for: Loser, Monster, Zutter (GD&TOP), Sober and Lies. But anything BB is golden so you won't go wrong with any song. Or give live performances a try: café (made tour), tell me goodbye (japan dome tour x), candle/fools only tears (love & hope tour 2011) or sober (made tour). Haru haru is us VIP's anthem, they usually sing a different version in every concert, try the japan dome tour x version it's a really good one.
Oh man, baby bigbang. Their eyeliner era is objectively funny and the songs are still bangers. Hope you keep them coming!
This song came out in 2008 when they were just kicking off - debuted in 2006 and starting to make a name for themselves.... They did the MV's themselves and wrote and produced their own music, because YG in those days was a really small outfit and just national in Korea and they did not have the money to pay for much.. BIG BANG made them worldwide and one of the biggest companies in Kpop history today. Each member can also play musical instruments amongst themselves and came up with some of their own beats, rthyms, music for their songs. Lots of firsts done by this group. They were the biggest group in 2000 and 2010 and still are in 2020. 7 years after releasing their last song as a group, they came out in 2023 with a 3 minute MV as a 4 piece group after Seungri left. They did nothing more. It was for the fans. No publicity - No nothing. It still topped all charts - ALL KILL. Thats just some of their influence. PLEASE watch them LIVE.

The video is a bit confusing, I'll give you that, but I still love it. This is my favourite Bigbang song, the lyrics do not align exactly with the video but they talk about him wanting her to move on without him, and that he'll live day by day (Haru Haru) remembering her and regretting the mistakes he made that made him lose her.
Over the years they changed this song to perform it as a live acoustic version and it's beautiful that way, and for every tour they changed the way they sung it. My favourite has to be the version for their MADE Tour (2015).
Other songs I recommend are Bae Bae and Love Song, and again, I recommend lyric videos or watching the MV's on channels that subtitled them for non korean speakers because the visuals can be misleading or, at the very least, confusing.

This is a very typical Asian Drama premise :)
Basically, the girl found out she's got cancer and doesn't want GD to suffer once she's gone so she makes his best friend TOP pretend with her that they betraid him. Later, the rest of the friends find out by accident what's going on as they see her at the hospital and call him to rush over there.
She doesn't make it and TOP tells GD the truth...

Story Plot:
The girl learned she has cancer. It's in terminal stage. She was hopeless and depressed. And she hurts for GD, her boyfriend, coz she knew her death would be devastating for him. The whole BIGBANG knew about it except GD. . So the girl devised a plan to make GD hate her. So he would move on and won't be hurt when she dies. . .She and TOP, GD's friend, pretended to be having an affair or relationship after GD and the Girl's break up. . That's why GD got mad at TOP coz they were fooling him all this time. . Fast forward, rhe girl is in the hospital. She lost all of her hair. She was about to undergo surgery as treatment. . . TAEYANG, bothered by his conscience, called GD to inform him of the truth/facts. So GD ran so fast to get to the hospital. Hoping to talk to the Girl before she goes inside the OR. . .but unfortunately, GD came late. . .then TOP told GD the Girl's plan to help him recover or move on from her. TOP also told GD that the Girl loves him so much she doesn't want to leave GD behind hurting bcoz of her. Hence, GD cried. . And really unfortunate, the Girl died on the table. Taking away whatever chances they have to talk things through. To be together at such painful moments of their lives, supporting each other. Truly heartbreaking.
Hence the title HARU HARU. It means, DAY BY DAY.

The story is G Dragon (fiancé with the hat) and the girl is engaged, but she finds out she has cancer but doesn't let G Dragon (the fiancé) know cause she thinks that will hurt him more than he can handle. The fiancé is the only one that doesn't know that she has cancer, all the fiancé's friends know that she has cancer because she tells them. More than likely she tells the fiancé's friends not to let him know. So to cover up the cancer ordeal, she urges the fiancé's best friend to pretend to be her new boyfriend and play along so her fiancé won't know that she has cancer as well as handing the fiancé's ring to the best friend make it more believable. The end part is pretty much the best friend confronts the fiancé and hands him the ring telling him that he's sorry that he lied to him about the situation and that she's always loved him. So the fiancé finds out the truth at the end.
This probably isn't the group for you, if you're going to kill the vibe each time. Sad because they are amazing. Still Life is the only video with the 4 members you care to see but honetly you won't understand the deepness of the video without the journey. Kind of a waste.

You may be approaching BIGBANG’s music on the wrong foot here, basing on your predilection for wanting to identify who the “evil” one is. Is taking stock of the art made, without prejudice, separating it from the personal circumstance of the ex-member a fairer way? You may want to ponder on that. I suggest you do diligent research before namecalling the said ex-member. He might not have been faultless, but the dearth of his persecution has also been suspect for those who followed the case thoroughly. Otherwise, every reaction would be dampened by every sidebar.
Should you opt to be unfettered by what had transpired, you would discover the band’s remarkable discography, a series of phenomenal live performances, and why they were dubbed the Kings of Kpop, and G-Dragon its emperor. It has been said that Kpop groups at the time, the newbies, as well as the next generation who were at the cusp of BIGBANG’s peak were tasked to watch their concerts to get pointers. From The Standard, if you will.
There will never be another G-Dragon, a pioneer par excellence. Nor BIGBANG. They are the blueprint. I'm pretty sure TOP is her doctor and friend and she gave him her couple ring that she had from her relationship with GD. She found out she had cancer and broke up with GD so he wouldn't know. She was upset and gave her friend TOP the ring so she could keep her mind off it. GD misunderstanding thinks TOP is dating his ex and gets angry. Later Taeyang seeing TOP treating the girls cancer in the hospital calls GD to tell him the truth. GD rushes to the hospital but she is already in surgery. TOP gives GD the couple ring back and tells him the what is going on. GD gets emotional unfortunately the girl did not survive surgery.
TOP wasnt her doctor in this they were all friends, he is literally barely 20yrs old in this MV 😂
