  • “My hope is that this conference will give those who are beginning their career the opportunity to meet each other, to engage with the broader foreign policy community, and to see a pathway for themselves to contribute,” says Council on Foreign Relations President Michael Froman about participants at the Conference on Diversity in International Affairs (CDIA). Now in its twelfth year, CFR hosted the CDIA in collaboration with the Global Access Pipeline and International Career Advancement Program. Through career development sessions and keynote speeches from renowned speakers, including U.S. Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti, former Brown University President Ruth Simmons, Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), and Ford Foundation President Darren Walker, the conference connects students and professionals from diverse backgrounds with career opportunities in international affairs. Listen to the testimony of students and leaders in the field of foreign policy on how this conference has been a transformative experience.
