    The NordicTrack x11i is one of our favorite treadmills in the $2000-$2500 price range. It’s a sturdy treadmill with a strong solid frame. The x11i supports up to 300 pounds and runs with a 4.25 CHP motor, which is huge. It comes with a lifetime warranty for the frame, deck, and motor, a 5-year warranty for parts, and a 2-year warranty for labor. This is a treadmill that is great for a wide range of users, especially runners who train for tough terrain, steep inclines, and more.
    With the large powerful motor, it’s still a relatively quiet treadmill with limited noise output. However, this treadmill does NOT fold. It is very heavy, difficult to transport, and will likely require a permanent location in your home.
    There are 2 adjustable fans on this treadmill with 5 settings. It comes with the standard safety key, 2 storage cubbies, 2 forms of heart rate monitoring (free Bluetooth chest strap), quick access incline/speed controls, audio input/output plug, loud speakers, and a USB port.
    The touchscreen console is a 10” HD display. The user interface for the display screen is very simple to learn. With iFit, this treadmill comes with over 60 workout routines made specifically for the treadmill. You have access to personal trainers who have put together motivating and engaging routines. iFit is a required feature for using this treadmill. With the subscription, you have access to endless workouts, personal trainers, data tracking, meal planning, and more. You can by-pass the iFit screen with a little hacking but then you rid yourself of the data tracking and pre-programmed exercise routines. Without the use of the iFit workouts, there are 44 standard programs on the x11i (Heart Rate routines, Calorie Burn, High Intensity, Speed training, Incline training, and the manual setting). Your workouts track a large set of data: lap number/lap progress on a 400 meter track, time elapsed, current heart rate, distance run, current pace, average speed, time remaining, average heart rate, calories burned, estimated calories burned per hour, miles remaining, verticle feet gained, and overall distance run. You can also view graphs charting your data. The summary screen shows you your total workout time, total distance, average pace, total calories burned, total elevation gain, and average heart rate. There will also be a graph charting your heart rate throughout your run to see your progress.

    Great review, it helped me even though I was looking for the X22i and couldn’t find many reviews on that model. I figure the only difference is the screen size. I ended up purchasing the X22i because they have a really good deal that ends today. My head is probably gonna be an inch away from the ceiling at 40% incline but my wife have more Clearance. Anyways great review, very detailed and informative. Later.

    For 2019, it appears that the motor is now at 3.75hp DURX motor. This appears to be a downgrade from the previous motor. I wonder if there have been any other cost cutting?

      Thanks for checking out our review! Great question, we have been looking into this and spoke with a sales rep at NordicTrack. They explained that the new CHP DURX motor is more efficient and quiet which made it possible to reduce the amount of power needed in the updated machine. We haven't had a chance to test this on our end yet but we hope that this helps in your search! Let us know if you have any other questions.

      @@BestTreadmillReviews Thanks for the reply. HP does not mean everything in a motor. It's possible that the new style motor could possibly be made of better parts while still having adequate power. I ended up purchasing a Life Fitness T5 used, which has an MSRP of $4,500. That motor is only 3.0 HP, but it is very heavy duty and I have not doubt that it is a beastly motor. Seems like they could add something on their website explaining the new motor, but maybe most people aren't concerned.
      btw, you do great reviews! I watched many of your videos last week and they are by far the best on youtube for treadmill reviews. I ended up with a used treadmill, but almost went with this incline trainer based on your reviews. Keep up the good work!

    We have the X11i Cross Trainer has less than 200 miles use on it, purchased new from the factory and today it was plugged in, powered up, did the latest updates and everything works EXCEPT the motor for the belt will not respond or engage at all. We have checked all the plug in connections on the two columns. We have it plugged in only when ready to use as factory recommends and we have the spike plug in adapter as suggested as well so, I know for a fact it has never had a voltage spike and we have whole house lightening and spike protection and it has never been used during an electrical storm. Just good ole typical american made junk. Now looking into a Peloton.Gonna sell the Xlli CHEAP

    • @BestTreadmillReviews
      @BestTreadmillReviews  5 років тому +1

      Hi Raghav, thanks for checking out our review! 7.5 ft is a pretty tight space for an incline trainer. The treadmill itself would fit in your basement but the treadmill deck is about a foot off the ground. You will be close to hitting your head on the ceiling yourself even without incline. You can try it out but it might not work as well as you'd like. Do you have any other questions?

    How much ceiling space do you need to have for a 6ft person?

    • @BestTreadmillReviews
      @BestTreadmillReviews  5 років тому

      Thanks for checking out our review! For one of the incline trainers you will want at least a 9' ceiling. When the deck is at complete 40% incline it's about 2.5 ft. off the ground. You might be able to get by with an 8.5 ft ceiling but that might be cutting it close and not allow you to use the full range of incline.
      The ceilings in our office are about 9 ft and one of our reviewers is 6'5" and he can use the full range of incline, so take that for what it's worth. We hope this helps out, please let us know if you have any other questions.

    • @BestTreadmillReviews
      @BestTreadmillReviews  5 років тому +1

      Thanks for checking out our review. From a flat deck straight to 40% incline it will take about 1 minute and 10 seconds to incline all the way to 40%. The deck is really stable for running at all speeds. One of our team members runs 30 second sprint intervals at a 10.5 speed and a flat deck without any issues. How do you connect the chest strap and is this a bluetooth compatible machine? I can't seem to connect the ifit app, chest strap,

    • @BestTreadmillReviews
      @BestTreadmillReviews  4 роки тому

      The chest strap should connect automatically via Bluetooth when you start a workout and you are wearing the chest strap. If it doesn't register right away, try wetting the the pads on the chest strap on the side that is touching your skin. This will help the chest strap recognize you have it on. There is also a Bluetooth button that you need to hold down while you are connect it to your phone, your phone should pull up the treadmill as an option to connect. We hope this helps out, please let us know if you have any follow up questions.

    • @BestTreadmillReviews
      @BestTreadmillReviews  6 років тому +3

      JDanelle,
      NordicTrack has been experimenting with different set ups for iFit. Currently, they are actually offering a free one year subscription, which is a killer deal. We love iFit, even though we were kind of against the concept in the beginning. We have found that people just use their treadmill so much more when they have a subscription, and they end up really loving to run!

    • @rgh622
      @rgh622 5 років тому +2

      You don't need a subscription to use the treadmill on the older models but you do in 2018, you also have iFit Coach which older models do not have access to. I have owned my incline trainer (X11i) since 2015. It runs like a thoroughbred and I have had no problems. I have only had an iFit subscription only half the time. The machine still works with manually entered workouts (you can pick the speed, the time, the incline and/or the distance) and it comes pre-loaded with 44 different workouts if you don't want the subscription. The subscription gives you more options and distractions while walking or running. Distractions can be really good when boredom settles in....

    • @hokiefan

      So, if you don’t get the ifit subscription you can’t use the treadmill?

    • @rgh622

      You can still use the treadmill without the iFit subscription. It's called "Manual" mode. You can use it like any other treadmill, time, distance, speed and incline all at your fingertips without a subscription.

      Nerdypinkglasses, iFIt responded with a solution which worked. Below is the email traffic.
      Quin Schumann, Dec 22, 7:12 AM MST:
      Thank you for contacting iFit support,
      This is an issue we saw on an earlier version of the software for that machine, you will likely need to access the Android settings then update the machine manually.
      Below are some instructions on resolving this issue. If you need any assistance with this please let me know, or call iFit Customer Support 1-866-608-1798 6am to 5pm, Mountain time, weekdays.
      To do this you will first need to enable the Android controls, which by default are hidden. From the "Hello" screen, tap on the profile icon in the bottom right corner and select "settings" this will take you to the iFit Application settings.
      Next go to "maintenance", the bottom half of the screen should be empty grey space. In that empty space you need to tap a code into the screen.
      Tap 10 times (somewhat quickly) then wait a FULL 5-7 seconds, then tap 10 times again in the same spot, if successful you will briefly see a message "Setting privilege mode: True".
      Now, swipe down from the top of the screen, this will open up the Android notification panel, like you would see on any Android tablet. At the top right of that panel will be a gear icon for the Android settings, tap on this.
      In the Android Settings go to Apps, Uninstall the iFit (or iFit Cardio) and iFit Eru(Admin) applications.
      Press the Circle button at the bottom to exit to the Android desktop.
      On the Android Desktop tap the circle with the dots in it. This will open the apps tray. Open the web browser.
      In the web browser use the following 2 links to download the installers for the apps
      ifit.io/admin-app This will download the Eru.apk file.
      ifit.io/standalone This will download the iFit Cardio app.
      After BOTH of these files have been downloaded, navigate your web browser to iFit.com.
      Press the Circle button at the bottom to exit to the Android desktop again.
      Press the circle with the dots in it to open the Apps tray. This time select the DOWNLOADS Folder.
      There should be 2 downloaded items.
      Find the file with ERU in the name, tap on it. Select ALL FILES. Then Select INSTALL then after installed select DONE.
      Next find the downloaded file with the name STANDALONE in the name. Select ALL FILES. Then Select INSTALL then after installed select DONE.
      Now, unplug your machine from the wall for 120 seconds. (2 FULL minutes) this will allow both the brainboard and the Android tablet to fully shut down.
      Plug the machine back in, and let it boot up. It should be functioning properly. IF IT ASKS TO DO A BRAINBOARD UPDATE, YOU MUST LET IT FINISH which will take up to half an hour.
      Regards,
      Q. Schumann
