We got cheated out on this scene. We got a picture of Edelgard holding the Professor while the other Two Houses got full animations for the time skip reunion.
I know that reunion scenes are usually very touching and emotional, but this just hits you like a storm. She's literally been worried sick about you for the past 5 years after that event and can't hold it back once you finally come back to the Monastery. If that isn't a real bond with someone who's literally been your teacher for the past few months or so, then I don't know what is. (In my opinion, all 3 routes technically show that, but still.)
"Five years... Such a short time, but it feels like an eternity ago. Do you... still feel the way you did all those years ago?" Those lines always hit me hard. I lost my best friend 3 years ago, and it does feel like it happened an eternity ago; life has changed so much, I feel like I'm a very different person, and yet, I still feel exactly the same as I did back then. You can only imagine the guilt, pain, grief (and even worry in her case) El went through, life is so different than what it used to be back then in the monastery, but then, she finds out she can still count on her teacher's support. This game made me cry like no other has; it will have a special site in my heart forever :')
@@gnoahfrank You kinda stated the obvious there, mate. And yes you need a C+ support with Edelgard and talk to her before the Chapter 11 mission in order to get it. Once the "Protect Edelgard" appears, click on it. And thats how you get this still image.
yeah, in general, this version of the black eagles route gets less 2d cutscenes/3d cutscenes than all the other routes, which im iffy about, but these little scenes still have their charm!

I include Golden Deer because aside from a couple extra bell's and whistles, it follows the Church Route's blueprint. BE-Edelgard is the route with the most difference, which is why it's shorter than GD. I'd really like to know what the devs thought process was for that. Considering how Edel narrated the reveal trailer, it's kind of shocking that they wouldn't consider a route that sided with her a priority. It's like originally the big focus Lord was Dmitri, but later in develoment Edelgard and Claude endeared themselves to the devs, so they changed tack.

I didn't like Edelgard because my first two routes was Golden Deer and Blue Lion. But when I played Crimson Flower, augh my heart. I fell so deep for Edelgard. I played again recently and married Hubert. But always referred to Edelgard as my wifey. Like I know Edelgard doesn't have the greatest route aka Crimson Flower, but everything about her , her character and drive makes me love her so much.

I heard its also the last route one would need to play according to the devs. I wouldn't say its canonical (cuz every route is) but it does give out a true end FE vibe by fighting a dragon....which is a FE staple trope. And while Byleth aided the other lords and Rhea he gets aided by Edelgard in this route.
We may not get a real cutscene and that sucks so hard. Even so, the voice acting for this is so phenomenal the impact is just as strong. And that just makes the lack of effort for Crimson Flower such a crime.
The black eagles route is obviously the best route even though the Crimson Flower ending was rushed and was several chapters shorter than the other endings. The game developers thought that this ending would be difficult to choose, and I'm like did you not know the kind of characters you were developing along the way? They really need to do another DLC for this game and actually polish up some of these moments.

Amsterdam L. Danisworo Maybe in the Crimson Flower route. In the other routes, she seems to be more like Walhart (who, like Edelgard, is a Rudolf archetype character). Also, Walhart was also more violent than Alm, who happened to be his ancestor (like how Marth was Chrom and Lucina's ancestor).
austin russell I mean, Edelgard, Rudolf and Walhart have the same archetype. Specifically, the Rudolf Archetype. Alm is nicer than Edelgard, since he originally only wanted to stop the Rigelian invasion of Zofia, and only decided on killing the Divine Dragons after hearing about his destiny and about the fact the dragons needed to be put of their misery so that Valentia as a whole could move forward.
D'aww, this is almost touching....I mean, despite the whole starting a war that killed a bunch of people for barely justifiable reasons thing that killed a bunch of people that wouldn't have died if a semblance of diplomacy was involved, but eh, details, details. It's still adorable as heck :')

Ayjop Crimson Flower (the “side with Edelgard” route) was probably a last minute addition unlike Silver Snow.
