- You are watching my Fire Emblem: Three Houses romance/support conversation series. In this series I will feature support conversations between some of my favorite characters. You can expect to see the main protagonist with different companions and also support conversations between different characters.
When it comes to some of my favorite romantic partners, I will turn them into a "romance" video which will include all the support conversations, Goddess Tower scene, and S Rank marriage scene. Hope you enjoy!

@@-xiirusthetwat-5481 I for 1 would rather be Marianne than Byleth because Byleth was just like a weapon to win their war version to all 3 of the leaders in 3 houses and to Rhea we were her mother because of a crest but I didn't dislike being Byleth just being her felt kind of like they could've given them a better expression and more respectable reputation than how Dimitri literally said to Byleth "You are our last ray of hope" at the end of the story and Edelgard did not even have some emotions all that much for Byleth because sge was constantly talking only about Hubert and Claude when you pick him to marry he actually leave Fodlan and go to Almayra so thats actually I'd say a bad marriage pick

I find it even more hilarious that even if they WEREN'T empty, they had that heart-to-heart in front of some rando.
I like how Dimitri doesn't try to change Marianne, like most of her supports. He understands her depression and consoles her when she needs an ear.
I feel like Ignatz is pretty good about that too, from what I remember!

Dimileth may be my OTP but dang if Dimitri and Marianne isn’t a sweet as can be pairing. Marianne is literally the only person I could ever see myself pairing Dimitri with if I ever played as male Byleth on a future BL route ❤️
I initially just recruited Marianne because I wanted to prevent her suicide, but I got something so much more than that. Dimitri + Marianne is my Blue Lions OTP
Flayn is not a horrible option either for Dimitri.

Yeah same here. I always play female Byleth in Three Houses so Dimileth is far more organic to me to the entire route rather than just a few support conversations. But yeah, if I ever play a male Byleth again (I just like the female in general FAR more) I can definitely see Dimitri and Marianne together.

Yeah this one's pretty great. I love how despite them starting out with different philosophies and mindsets, they grow closer in a natural way and help each other out. It's not Dimitri wallclimbing off of Marianne(wallclimbing is when one character is used to develop another character a lot while not developing much themselves) or vise-versa. They both grow, and they both support each other. Quite the power couple.
Dimitri and Marianne ended up getting married in my playthrough. So did Dedue and Mercedes. They went for the sweet girls, evidently. 😊

Marianne is my favorite romance for male Byleth and I don't often pair her with anyone (must protect Marianne), but Dimitri was the one I loved seeing interacting with her. Blessings approved!

Ashe is a good one but when she said “thank you for giving me the world” I feel weak and she’s the only female (except Rhea) who gives the ring first.
I paired Lorenz with Marianne and the character development was top tier. She taught him that people are perfect how they are and inner beauty is what counts and he taught her to love herself

This is Dimitri's most romantic support, even more than with f!Byleth (especially since Marianne isn't a silent person).
Byleth is better off with a Seteth or Flayn depending on Byleth gender. Since he/she is an immortal god/goddess by virtue of merging with Sothis. (In a way, that makes Byleth already one with Sothis) Better to let Manaketes/Nagas be with their own kind..

I just love Marianne's design! The pastel blue hair styled into a braided crown. The doe like brown eyes, dark eye circles, her grim, languid demeanor paired with an overall delicate appearance.
I was living for it. She among all the character immediately caught my attention.
It's so sad that after promising to live on and never give her cause to despair (one of the most romantic lines in the game imo) he actually dies before her. although presumably when they're both elderly.
The ending just makes me cry happy tears with the quote of “I would not trade our time together or happiness we knew for anything.”
That ending is a beautiful punch to the heart
Honestly this is perhaps my personal best pairing in the entire series; absolutely amazing in my own eyes
Honestly, this is my no. 1 pairing for both of them. They just seem to understand each other so well, and the chemistry is really palpable in here. Sometimes you just really need someone who's capable of seeing things through the same lens you do.
After so many people saying this was a cute pairing I decided to put my Dimitri x Byleth heart aside to see it. Very adorable and endearing pairing. She's probably the second one I would be able to see Dimitri as a character get with, the first is of course Byleth.

I'm 100% on the same mindset. F.Byleth seems story-wise the best pairing for Dimitri, but whn playing as M.Byleth, Marianne is by far Dimitri's best choice. Which is impossible for me since I will always pair M.Byleth with Marianne. So my compromise was Dimitri x Mercedes, and honestly that one is very good.

Here's how I'd have an S-support between the two, though it would require a slight revision to their epilogue text. This S-support would be available in the final month of the Azure Moon path.
During a battle with Imperial forces, Dimitri takes a hit that was meant for Marianne and is badly wounded. The Kingdom forces win the battle, but Marianne screams as Dimitri collapses from his injuries.
Later on, at the cathedral of Garreg Mach, Marianne is praying and crying. Dimitri then enters the cathedral, which dismays Marianne since he's supposed to be recovering. Dimitri says that he needed to see her, but Marianne tells him to stay away from her, not wanting him to get hurt again because of her. Dimitri refuses to stay away, so Marianne tries to run. Dimitri, despite his wounds, quickly catches her and pulls her into an embrace, despite her struggling to break free. Dimitri then confesses that he would be lost without her, and would do anything to keep her safe. Marianne breaks down crying, and says that if he had died for her sake she would never have been able to live with herself. Dimitri then promises that he will live for her sake, and then asks if she will live for his, revealing a ring in his hand. Overcome with emotion, Marianne can only continue crying as she accepts Dimitri's proposal.

So I've been around the comments in this video but never made my own comment so here we go
I ADORE THIS SUPPORT CHAIN not only is it top tier dialogue it is probably the support chain that I feel makes the most sense to get romantic as they have a very natural flow and development for their relationship as you can see then growing closer in conclusion this is the best one

This is easily my favorite Dimitri ship. Their relationship reminds me of Edelgard and Lysithea - they both suffered difficult lives, but with each other they were able to work through it. It's heartwarming in a really depressing way
Unironically, Lysithea also gets to expand her lifespan with the Edelgard Support.
So that makes the Flame Emperor 1 of Few Characters, including Byleth, that can save Lysithea from her Short Lived Life.
Best ship. They get married and they live happily.

As much as I like the writing in BL I really felt like it was a huge misstep that only Byleth can snap Dimitri out of his stupor. He/she gets main character privileges while everyone else eats dust, I guess. It works if you were already bonding Dimitri and Byleth together, but it makes no sense if Dimitri had a better relationship with other people beforehand. It's like, "Hey I spent a lot of time bonding with Marianne/Dedue/Sylvain/Felix/Ingrid... But that silent professor who prefers to talk with Flayn just hits different tho"
Imagine if, just like the confession scene has different art work depending on who Byleth is going to marry, anyone who Dimitri had a high support level with could say different things to him to get him back on track. I really doubt everyone would be pairing Dimitri exclusively with Byleth if that was the case.
The whole point of Byleth in the story is that they are essentially the sun for each leader in the game. Depending on who Byleth chooses, that leader grows and betters themself as a person.
Dimitri is the moon, and needs the light of Byleth to reflect off of him to become a magnificent king. Otherwise, he is eternally locked in darkness.
Edelgard is the rose that needs the light of Byleth to guide its growth as well as blossom to show her true colors.
Claude is the wind, and although doesn’t need the sun, to blow, he needs it for the warmth it provides to unite fodlan and other nations beyond.
And Rhea is the snow that needs the light of Byleth to melt away her cold heart and to reveal the truth underneath the snow.

@@GyaruRespecter I agree with you there. The characters should act like real people instead of having Byleth wedged in to incite change.
But the symbolism isn’t obscure or coming out of nowhere. There is a constant reminder of how prominent the importance of nature is throughout the story.
During part 1, the intros to each chapter introduce how the culture of Fodlan is heavily affected by the environment, like how the moons/months being reflective of the season.
Byleth is described on multiple occasions to have a light that other characters seek, namely, the leaders.
Each track in the soundtrack has a “rain” theme for the unit placement map, and a “thunder” theme for when a battle is initiated.
The opening song of the game sung by Edelgard, is literally called “Seasons of Warfare”
Ignoring the individual characters for a second, the nature theme makes the story feel like that each faction is a separate force of nature and drives forward that war is bigger than just 1 singular person.
If they ever make a definitive edition, I do hope they consider doing this, I definitely agree, also with the amount of character Byleth gets in other games like Three Hopes and Engage... I think his or her own character should definitely get more characterization, I love the story, if only it can be more better...

I love how it only took three supports with these two to make quite possibly the best shipped pairing in the game, some people even say this is a better pairing than Byleth and Dimitri's end support.

burh I like that if you reach C support with them early, then he has additional lines in the actual story bits where he casually gushes over her

Honestly when I got the game, I thought i would hate the BE and GD students but I ended up loving every single one, and I ended up thinking the BL students were rather flat and boring compared to the others (Besides dedue) and all the house leaders were great characters

I'm in such a dilemma! I'm doing another play through of Blue Lions now that I have a better understanding of the game and all and I'm trying to decide if I wanna do Dimitri x Byleth or Dimitri x Marianne. It's not an easy choice.

Yes but not any time soon. Right now the plan is to do Golden Deer route on 4/30 when the new DLC comes out. Then I'll do all of Claude's supports at the time.
Can you do Mercedes and Dedue? I just find that their ending to be the sweetest route for them.
