This is such a comforting and informative video. The motivation to lock in my NMAT and med school prep has been almost five years in the making, but these pieces of advice have given me direction. Thank you, I wish you well.
Hi! I did not include req details anymore since those are easily found in the website of schools you wanna apply in :) Hope you found my tips helpful :)
Hello ate Leslie! So glad that I saw your channel 😍. I just wanted to ask if UPCM conducts an examination before you have an interview with them or it's just the interview itself that will determine your qualification? Thank you so much for this video ❤
Eychpi Suarez hi! No exam :) you just submit the requirements stated in their website. If you qualify, you will get an email for an interview :) goodluck!
Wow goodluck! ASMPH was one of the schools i considered! The campus is really nice and clean! HAHA. Make sure you can back up reasons why you want to get in ;) #whyateneo Please subscribe to see more of my med tips! :)
I was fine until she mentioned thesis lol. My thesis grade was fine but like she mentioned, it was one of those things where the adviser assigned to us was trying to finish her thesis and shoved it down our throats because we had no choice. Not precisely related to our major so I'm not too keen about discussing that. Plus I had a "pre-law" in undergrad so yeah I'm over here losing hope abt getting into UPCM lol
Yun lang po and thank you :)
Hi :) Thanks and goodluck to you! Yes, I am laude standing. Yes, my NMAT is higher than 95, will vlog on that soon ;) i didnt apply to PLM haha cuz i’m not so familiar with the school and i heard the process was also tedious as well. It’s not part of my top 5 kasi, and i only applied to my top 5 chosen schools :)
@@leslievlogs14 Thank you po sa info 😄. Keep creating med vids po for aspiring doctors and med students like us.
It was part of my choices! Which is why I applied there as well. But, I wanted a new scenery after 4 years of premed in UST. And I also factored in scholarships (getting a scholarship in UST is a hard and long process even if you have sparkling grades unlike in St. Lukes and UERM). And when I got in UPCM, I took the blessing as it is a great school and the tuition is a lot cheaper :)
I also applied there :) they didnt have interview lang. but even then, it was only a back up :) i’ve been in ust for 4 years, i wanted a change of scenery and school and a school with a less hassle parking scheme :)
Free parking in UST is hard. You have to be in school by 5:30am or else slots for students run out. The official parking lot which is also for those going to the hospital is costly. A whole day’s parking can cost more than 150 pesos. In st. Lukes, they have a valet. In admu, the parking is also first come first served. All in all, i just want a change as well. But it was my fourth choice :)
@@leslievlogs14 i love how we also consider the parking lot hahaha. Thank you so much for answering! And good luck po. Stay safe! Hope we can be colleague in the future 😊
Hi! Thank you for this vlog! Is it okay to ask what's the probability of entering into upcm from a different university? Thank you po and keep safe! 😊
hi! i am wondering how were you able to take the nmat on your third year while it states in the cem that you should be graduating or already have graduated in order to take it? i would also like to do the same :(( i'm incoming third year and would want to take it on my third yr, 2nd sem. btw, great vid!!
Charlika Somoza hi, i just applied and it worked hehe. But acc to my UP friends, UP required them to really take their nmat during fourth year. I was from UST kasi. I just applied bia the website and my application was processed naman :)
I think if you decide to be honest regarding cheating, it would depend on how you explain that... and what you learned from that experience. I forgot how many qualified for an interview, but for my batch, we are around 180 students in total who got in after the interview. :)
Hi! YES you can still get in UPCM 😁 Nah, they don’t look na if you past upcat! Iba naman sa med! Requirement lang are your good grades, good nmat, and your interview :)
Hi! Did you go to upcm the next academic year right after college? Does UP accept applicants that are not yet official grads? (Since your application period and interview for upcm were done on your 4th year college) hope you'll reply hehe. Thanks!
Yes i went to med right after i graduated from college. Nope, you have to be a graduate na, and you have ti be graduating when you submit your application. :)
Hello! New subscriber here. I just want to ask, does the interviewer asks for some supporting documents like "certificate of excellence/achievement/completion?" or does it vary per interviewer/medschool? Thank you
Philaw Sophyy Hi. The interviewers do not ask for those :) they just ask questions about you. Documents like those are only necessary if the school you are applying to requires you to submit those. When you are interviewed, the secretary of the med school hands your application form (with all the other requirements like transcript etc) to you interviewers. So your interviewers already have those things once they interview you :) they have a folder with them :)
Hi! It depends! Pero almost all my classmates had high grades and latin when they graduated from premed. Factor din kasi yung grades. It’s very competitive. So if you want a higher chance, get a latin :)
Hello po, I just want to ask if there’s a chance for me to enter a medical school even though I didn’t go to a university during my pre-med? I am currently studying BS Psychology in Assumption Makati and I am really doubting myself and thinking no school would accept me because I didn’t come from big universities. Thank you po😔

Hi, what do you mean? Each school has its own interview. If you dont get admitted in a school, you can try for others. You dont technically fail an interview…the competition to get in each school is just tough so you have to stand out in your interview :)
Sittie Mariam-Allyssa Sumaguina Hi, diba the requirement is “not lower than 90”. So you can qualify for application if you meet the requirements. But, just so you know, a lot of people applying have also very high NMAT scores, so aim to get as high as you can. It’s competitive kasi, right. But, there will be an interview naman, so just make sure that you do well on that one just in case your NMAT score is low. I submitted my application 4th year, second semester of college. January! They have late application dates kasi compared to other med schools. And their interview is also the last one to be conducted! At least in my time :)
