- Hi everyone,
This is a silly video. I have been testing the track and thought I'd make a quick video.
Today (02.06.22) marks 120 years since the line originally opened for traffic and I thought I ought to mark the occasion in some way.
Over a year ago I said I'd have the project complete for this date, but that was before I decided to switch to P4.
I'm pleased that I decided to switch gauge and hope that this video will officially mark the re-opening. :)
Thanks for watching,

Nice to see some trains moving on that lovely track you’ve built James.
And great music too! So glad you have given the credits for this, many UA-camrs wouldn't.
Amazing work, you have an incredible eye for detail. Watching with interest as someone who is just getting into model railways and was born and bred in the road behind Collington Stores.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEXHILL WEST!!!!!!!
Indeed! 😀 Cheers Luke.
P4 is the perfect choice for your architectural railway model. It will allow you the level of detail and precision that you have attained thus far with all those stunning buildings.
Very much looking forward to seeing your onward progress.
Best wishes from up here on Wirral from a retired railwayman and armchair modeller!
Great to see trains running and the track really looks good.
Cheers Kev
Thank you very much, I'm quite pleased with it. :)
Wonderful. The change from 00 to P4 was so worthwhile. Pete
That was a lot of fun and great to see locos operational finally chum, best to you Paul at Sandling Junction
Hi James - Just watched your last two videos, you certainly do not do things by halves.
Thoroughly enjoyed both of them and oh my goodness how this station has evolved.
Love the trackwork and how everything runs so smoothly.
Regards Chris
That's lovely! Trackwork's looking good too.
I am glad to see you have got some trains moving at last! A rather surreal assortment of motive power and rolling stock! You were lucky that P4 wheels fitted that loco. Thanks for uploading.
not really lucky when those wheels are designed specifically for that loco...
Thanks, you too!
Enjoyed your test session. Keep up the good work! Best, Jason.
Thank you Jason, I’m pleased you enjoyed it.
All the best,
James
Nice. Looking locomotive
Thank you James, yes it is.
Happy birthday Bexhill West railway station!
James, I think your points are not final (as fare as I seen you cannot go middle towards the signal box, point blades move by a tie alike throw bar, ...)
It's nice to see my old loco running. When you finishing it off & what colour are you painting it??
Excellent. Is this going to be a 50s/60s layout or preservation era?
I think the date in the description is wrong :) Spectacular pointwork - did you make that tandem yourself?
Thank you William, I've corrected it now.
The formation was built for me by John Jones, and he's made a brilliant job of it too. All seems to work very nicely.
Thanks for watching,
James
