I've noticed this before but it's very apparent here; there is a quality/tone to Bertie Carvel's voice that just...vibrates the air when he speaks. He's stunning. I was very lucky to see him play the Trunchbull when Matilda was in previews at the Cambridge Theatre.
I doubt there will be a season 2 coming soon. The tv series is based on a book series of the same name. The 7ep of the show covered the entire story that had been written, so there is currently no more material to work with. The book author announced that she is working on a story that begins a few years after Jon and Norell's ending. The new main character will be Childermass. Let's hope the author will finish her book soon and we might have a season 2. And I must say that it's extremely saddening knowing there will probably be no happy ending or continuation for Jon and Bell...

Huge fan of the book and the miniseries but I could stand next to these two in a store and never realize it was them!

No way Jon is lost wherever he is. Can't wait to start reading the books.
Might adapt the other short stories Clarke has written in the same universe.
The 1st book took 13 years to write, and it seems she ran into major difficulties with the planned sequel and had to put it aside for now.
