Happy Friday everyone, today we’re checking in with the team. It’s time to heal. We’ve had a lot of episodes without guests lately (you’re welcome) Everyone shares personal stories of how their relationships/friendships have evolved over the years, as well as how we’ve grown. Anyway, we’re off that deep shit. The second half of this episode we lighten the mood. Julian asks the rest of the team hip-hop trivia. This friendship convo let's me know why Mal isn't married or in a relationship. Conflict happens, seems like he doesn't want to face conflict after he's been hurt. When you value the friendship you'll go through conflict and create those boundaries. I hope him and the lady at least have the conversation cause it's bothering him, he's scared to open up to her again cause she hurt him. Resolution is needed.
They were never friends if the friendship can’t survive a verbal disagreement. He needs to mature in so many areas!

Friendship is a spectrum - the 'friend' has various levels
Yeah cause I have friends that I haven't spoken to in years that if I showed up with a dead body in the trunk Im pretty sure they'd help my bury it no questions asked but those same friends wouldn't loan me 5 dollars. And I have friends that are vice versa. If I showed up at their house with a dead body they'd try to convince me to turn myself in and threaten to do it if I didn't but would freaking pay half my rent if I asked them too and we talk everyday 🤷🏿♂️

Totally agree with Mal. When you hold a person close to your heart, high on a pedestal and they disrespect you in some way its hard to look at them the same again. Especially if they did something foul to you that you would NEVER do to them. Its hard to bounce back. All the clichés start to come into play: Time will heal. Forgive but don't forget.

I agree with Rory, when you’ve been friends with someone a long time, people start to feel safe enough to not always be their best. Often times that happens when you actually need them
To be at their best. This is often a problem in friendships but forgiveness would definitely be the proper thing to do in this type of instance. Mal in a way has a point because if you know you can’t really forgive her, it’s not fair to invite her back in that space, but also it’s a sign of maturity to work through problems with people who are as valuable as you think or say they are. It is def a tough situation.
