Agreed they are chalk and cheese - good value either for V1 owners (40% off) or first time buyers. It does take up considerably more space ( and you have to uninstall V1 first). My system did take a small hit performance wise around Sydney and Melbourne but I do have a high spec machine so those with mid range systems may have to play with their settings. The Control Panel for V2 has some extra options to tuns things off if needed. Good coverage and ORBX have done a good job, all we need now is a proper package for YSSY. Have you tried YMML at night with Dynamic Lighting on - nice.

Excellent review...Perth Skyline next with a 50 ft flight height along the shore line... would recommend 200 foot average (if special clearance is required, maybe not lol) or lower for more detailed difference perspective on scenery. And yes fly between the Skyscrapers....Thank You Shane.

Yeah I just decided to click on this for some random reason. I'm an XP11 guy and usually skip P3D videos. The detail of this is incredible and I cant' wait for Washington to release for XP. But why in the world is this so over saturated? This looks like a cartoon! Is this a P3D thing? XP has nailed the correct look on a slightly hazy day. This just looks awful with all that over saturation.

i send orbx messages now an then to keep reminding them to port all their australia scenery to xplane and tell them it will make them mega bucks for xplane

I fly both sims and have been flying sims for over 25 years so i might have an opinion or two about things i would like too see, if that bothers you i suggest grow up a little and brace yourself for life is going to be a rough ride for you, and to suggest that we should not talk about a Developers product in which the said Dev has a foot in both camps is utterly ridiculous.
You never know, they may port this a cross some day. The true earth products in XP are awesome.... have you checked them out. Thanks for watching the video.
I live in Adelaide and there's some things I like and a few things that I don't or are missing.... there's no Aldinga airport... no Mt Lofty Towers.. Parafield and Gawler look a lot better than the default though....

Hey mate, I live on the sunny coast and I have noticed a significant difference of the area from Aus v1, the gold course on final to 36 and canals and coastline look a lot better and the surroundings are just overall better. Mount Coolum looks a little better, the structure and textures on it, and one of the major improvements are the grass fields near the highway, they look really good. I don't know if the airport has had a major update but the surroundings certainly have. Hope this helps, if you have any more questions feel free to ask, I recommend getting it. I'm probably going to get v2 but I want the PMDG 737NGX first. I am really struggling to decide whether to get the pmdg or buy xplane and use the zibo. Is there any good up to date YBSU or YMML scenery and is there any AU ai traffic like p3d has?
@@Concentrix101 I run XP11 alongside P3D and use DCS for my WWII planes.Frankly XP11 scenery is still way behind P3D in my view certainly for the Southern Hem which it has largely ignored to date. ORBX will fix that with its Oz heritage over time but I wont pay twice. I have the NGX in P3D and I love it. I also love the old Twin Otter for use in a lot of my regional (inland) simming using a lot of the good free ORBX airports. The Gold Coast Orbx pack is great also. I always wait for one of ORBX 40% off sales. Absolutely beautyful. A good decision for extreme large detailed sceneries bush flyers appreciate, for example Alaska, Canadian or Australian locations, and other huge DLCs including airports and planes which give a fully modded flightsim a size of 300-500 gigabytes, is to plug one of these fast extern USB 3.0 harddrives to the laptop, and install the flight sim there :) Works flawless, fast, and perfect. I noticed no loading difference between installing on an intern second harddrive, or on an extern USB3 drive. But an extern drive doesn`t eat up space on the most of the time rather small notebook harddrives.
Overall quite good but Yarra needs to be brown and Luna Park needs to be modelled properly. Would like Perth Cityscape to be included when it is released.
Ok I decided to get it. While there's a much improved terrain definition showing more accurate coasts and lakes etc some glaring omissions still present for the WA side. Bridges in particular aren't very accurate to not existing at all and they are icons of the southwest region I live in. Minor airports are better though and my local field hardly needs a third party to cover it now. Still worthwhile for the better defined landscape but I do hope some more POI's and other landmarks will be added to it later for the WA side.
Greetings. I am reaching out to the flight sim community with some questions. I am using P3d v 4.5 on a brand new gaming rig with an i 9 processor and RTX 2070 GPU. 32 gb ram. It seems at times when I am using P3d v 4.5 I can be in mid flight and my computer will crash. It happens all the time. Other times things run like glass. I am unsure if anyone else is having the same issues. I also have X plane 11 and all the older sims. Any suggestions would be nice.

V2 looks good but you seem to have the same stutters that I get around Melbourne.
Only a little frame loss in Melbourne, rest of the country is fine.
