Two questions. The options on the dashboard menu "Set Time and Set Date" appears? Can yo changue directly with the buttons and set the time? and, The odometer is flashing???
Hi! The OBDII will help you scan/erase codes, will let you see rpm, tpms, and some more CAN data. If you don't have steering wheel controls you don't need the Maestro. You can check more about the Maestro here www.idatalinkmaestro.com Thanks for watching!
@@digammasolutions bummer! I have the same question!!! How did you route your wires? I'm about to do the same and I'm trying to sort this part out, do I follow above the window/door then down the pillar or do I take it down to the floor then follow along the bottom/inside of the door then up/out near the odb port? Thanks!!!! Also, any tips or 'need to know' to connect to the RR2?
@@digammasolutions My local shop Audio Itch did an ass job on our Corvette C4: misaligned dash pieces, an intermittent backup camera, wires literally taped together. I decided to DIY our GMC Sierra and did that 100x better. My advice? DIY.
Hi Bram! No, you have to run the USB that comes with the stereo, unfortunately! This is what our next video is going to be about! We should have that video up in the next two weeks.
Do you have pics of the paddles you used for the air vents? Also any issues in retaining the steering wheel controls? I eventually want to install a head unit with two sets of components for front and rear with an electronic crossover and a 5 channel amp
hey which ob2 extension did you use? that allowed you to have an open one and tuck in maestro one.. also were you able to retain blue & me calling. I want to use the microphone that built into the car
Hey Nissim, we've just updated the description with a link to an OBDII splitter like the one we used. Yes, if you use the idatalink maestro rr2, you can retain blue & me, we just didn't want that, but it's definitely an option. Let us know if you have any more questions.
Good job, possibly have 1 to do soon. Still cant believe you dont get ISO connectors on the stereo looms and you have to wire it all up like that. I have it easy, Just plug and play lol
Thanks! I did use one, Is a connector that comes with the Maestro Datalink. But still needed to do connections between the head unit plug and the Maestro plug.
yeah possibly, at the time I do remember there was another model with bluetooth but I don't think there was a unit that would keep the steering wheel buttons. Which units would you have use in stead?
Good video. I will be following these steps and same gear for my 2013 Fiat 500 Lounge.
How did it go??

Can you give a demonstration of the back up camera?
Wow what blessed hands you all have . Amazing job !
Hey thank you !! =)
@@digammasolutions Yw !
so, youre telling me i should just use a magnetic mount and my phone..got it :P
haha!
LoL!
Brilliant.. Can this be done on a fiat punto evo
How did you wire the antenna adapter? there is a blue wire that needs to be connected somewhere, you used a ground line for it?
After I realized I had to cut the vents I went with the single-din installation with a floating screen
@@jsbrookk haha yeah, that is always an option.
How many inches it’s that pioneer?
Excellent video. It's refreshing to see someone who understands how to put out quality content. Much appreciated!
I appreciate that!
What is the OBDII for? If my Fiat has no steering wheel controls and I’m not using de Maestro, do I still need the OBDII?
Hi! The OBDII will help you scan/erase codes, will let you see rpm, tpms, and some more CAN data. If you don't have steering wheel controls you don't need the Maestro. You can check more about the Maestro here www.idatalinkmaestro.com

Thank for the video!
Where can I buy the vent trim?
I was able to cut the vents with a razor blade. It just took a little extra arm work.
hey is it necessary to use the RR2 to retain steering wheel controls? ive previously on other vehicles just had to use an extra included wire/harness
What’s the colour of the car?
De q color es el cable de ignición por qué apagó el switch y se queda prendido el estereo ayuda !!!
Hello, wonderful job, I started my project too but I wanted to know if you have a guide on how to install the retro camera, thanks in advance

Does that harness work on the bose system?
Hi there, are you talking about the bose optional sound system?

Does it work with 2008 fiat 500?
Hi! Sorry for such a delay, business has been crazy lately. If the stereo in your car looks like the one we replaced I am pretty sure that will work.
Soo complicated if you bought a better unit it would have cut your time in 2
