I can understand why you wouldn’t call yourself Apostolic, the term doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. What the United Pentecostal Church means by this name is that they are “Apostolic in Doctrine” meaning that they are in the apostles doctrine and not in doctrine that came into the Catholic Church generations after the first apostles. I have a lot of love and respect for the UPC and the labour they do for the kingdom of God! They are truly brothers and sisters in Christ! - Coming from a minister in the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ.

True, and although that doesn't mean that we have to 'say his name', but it's just like in Acts, being baptized INTO his name, just like when a new wife takes on a husband's name, she is now 'in him'. Praise ye the Lord, I pastor in Indiana & I first want to say thank God for you guys having a willingness for going to Asbury to win souls with our Pentecostal Apostolic Bible Truth, one thing that we’ve done when going on soul winning events, we’ve gone into some parks in Indianapolis is to drive a truck or van with a pull behind 8ft. small box trailer similar to an enclosed uhaul trailer equipped with a 6ft. to 8ft. empty horse trough, @ least 100’ water hose, his & hers baptismal robes, a little small propane heater, battery LED lighting for inside the box trailer for use of as King temporary changing room, and when we arrived at the parks we simply use a close by water Spicket build the baptismal horse trough a little over halfway full, & then we called that the salvation station, & we baptized many people right there in the park as they were being filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost 🔥 with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit of God gave the utterance…
@@johankeijser8270 Try reading the Cornelius story (the first gentiles to receive God's spirit)...... How did the Jews know that God's salvation was also fully available to the gentiles? Because the gentiles also 'spoke in tongues' when they received God's spirit (Holy Spirit) just like the Jews did on the day of Pentecost. Then they were all baptized in the name of Jesus. I was skeptical (perhaps everyone should be). I 'spoke in tongues' when I received God's spirit at home during prayer. But remember... the spirit of God must give the utterance. Yes, there are fake phony tongues! I've seen it myself (especially on TV). Believe it or not, as a brand-new believer, I gathered evidence against my first Pastor and submitted it to the elders. His license was immediately revoked! Why? He tried to 'teach' me how to speak in tongues! He told me to repeat HIS 'tongues'. I refused because I knew it wasn't Biblical. It was only a short time later God filled me at home during prayer. Once I had the real thing, I knew he was wrong. Previously quiet and shy, I became bold and took care of the situation without hesitation. It's scary to think I almost rejected the infilling of God's spirit because of a few sincere, but misguided people. First, you must REPENT! Then just simply ask God to fill you with his spirit. If you already have the spirit in you and overflowing, no loss..... right? I will pray for you to receive this experience (I already have), but you must ask God yourself (and keep asking)............... Better yet, DEMAND of God that he keep his promise..... I dare YOU!
The second blessing is merely a greater measure of Jesus. Many are not ready for God getting more of them at conversion/justification because of having lived a life of sin. I think Wesley was right about the "second blessing",, or the "second moment". Those of Acts 8 needed a greater enduement of Jesus Christ from on High, though they were already born again because of having received the word of God. To receive Jesus like they did is to receive the Spirit in what measure they were ready for. This is because the Lord--Jesus-- is that Spirit according to II Cor 3:17.

I’ve heard people say I would have loved to lived in Bible times. If you open your eyes you will see that this is the generation of Biblical times!! The Holy Ghost was not yet given when He said that to the thief on the cross. Now that it has been poured out, we do have to repent and be filled with the Holy Ghost and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ in order to be saved.
Read Acts 10:43-48 Peter preached to the gentiles and they were all immediately filled with the Holy Ghost and began speaking in tongues, not baptized yet. We are immediately regenerated and filled at the time of our salvation, amen

When it comes to translating, I agree with Holy Spirit over Holy Ghost based on the English definitions of the words. A direct translation of Greek word Pneuma is “Spirit”. And Ghost by definition is the apparition of a dead person which is believed to become manifest to the living. Last I checked, Christ rose from the dead and the Spirit which raised Christ from the dead, isn’t dead but rather alive and a living Spirit which gives life. So I agree, Spirit is a better term than Ghost for the Holy Spirit.

God don't use proud men who will take credit for themselves. The only legitimate ministers at Asbury are the students and the staff. Other entities who take credit for themselves for whatever they did in Asbury, like these 2 vloggers reporting are of no consequence. That's the problem with American Christians who have ministries, they broadcast their "achievements". God knows the pride in their hearts and so God used humble students in a Christian University in a small town of Kentucky.

I can understand why you wouldn’t call yourself Apostolic, the term doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. What the United Pentecostal Church means by this name is that they are “Apostolic in Doctrine” meaning that they are in the apostles doctrine and not in doctrine that came into the Catholic Church generations after the first apostles. I have a lot of love and respect for the UPC and the labour they do for the kingdom of God! Praise ye the Lord, I pastor in Indiana & I first want to say thank God for you guys having a willingness for going to Asbury to win souls with our Pentecostal Apostolic Bible Truth, one thing that we’ve done when going on soul winning events, we’ve gone into some parks in Indianapolis is to drive a truck or van with a pull behind 8ft. small box trailer similar to an enclosed uhaul trailer equipped with a 6ft. to 8ft. empty horse trough, @ least 100’ water hose, his & hers baptismal robes, a little small propane heater, battery LED lighting for inside the box trailer for use of as King temporary changing room, and when we arrived at the parks we simply use a close by water Spicket build the baptismal horse trough a little over halfway full, & then we called that the salvation station, & we baptized many people right there in the park as they were being filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost 🔥 with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit of God gave the utterance…

@@johankeijser8270 Try reading the Cornelius story (the first gentiles to receive God's spirit)...... How did the Jews know that God's salvation was also fully available to the gentiles? Because the gentiles also 'spoke in tongues' when they received God's spirit (Holy Spirit) just like the Jews did on the day of Pentecost. Then they were all baptized in the name of Jesus. I was skeptical (perhaps everyone should be).
I 'spoke in tongues' when I received God's spirit at home during prayer. But remember... the spirit of God must give the utterance. Yes, there are fake phony tongues! I've seen it myself (especially on TV). Believe it or not, as a brand-new believer, I gathered evidence against my first Pastor and submitted it to the elders. His license was immediately revoked! Why? He tried to 'teach' me how to speak in tongues! He told me to repeat HIS 'tongues'. I refused because I knew it wasn't Biblical. It was only a short time later God filled me at home during prayer. Once I had the real thing, I knew he was wrong. Previously quiet and shy, I became bold and took care of the situation without hesitation.
It's scary to think I almost rejected the infilling of God's spirit because of a few sincere, but misguided people. First, you must REPENT! Then just simply ask God to fill you with his spirit. If you already have the spirit in you and overflowing, no loss..... right? I will pray for you to receive this experience (I already have), but you must ask God yourself (and keep asking)............... Better yet, DEMAND of God that he keep his promise..... I dare YOU!

The second blessing is merely a greater measure of Jesus. Many are not ready for God getting more of them at conversion/justification because of having lived a life of sin. I think Wesley was right about the "second blessing",, or the "second moment". Those of Acts 8 needed a greater enduement of Jesus Christ from on High, though they were already born again because of having received the word of God. To receive Jesus like they did is to receive the Spirit in what measure they were ready for. This is because the Lord--Jesus-- is that Spirit according to II Cor 3:17.

When it comes to translating, I agree with Holy Spirit over Holy Ghost based on the English definitions of the words. A direct translation of Greek word Pneuma is “Spirit”. And Ghost by definition is the apparition of a dead person which is believed to become manifest to the living. Last I checked, Christ rose from the dead and the Spirit which raised Christ from the dead, isn’t dead but rather alive and a living Spirit which gives life. So I agree, Spirit is a better term than Ghost for the Holy Spirit.

God don't use proud men who will take credit for themselves. The only legitimate ministers at Asbury are the students and the staff. Other entities who take credit for themselves for whatever they did in Asbury, like these 2 vloggers reporting are of no consequence. That's the problem with American Christians who have ministries, they broadcast their "achievements". God knows the pride in their hearts and so God used humble students in a Christian University in a small town of Kentucky.
