2017 warriors are 1st ..then I have the 85 lakers....then 96 bulls..2024 celtics if they just dominate the east finals and have a good 6 game win 3 game by 10 finals could be a top 5 team all time for me
Video idea, do a simulation with the worst teams, and only the losers advance. Edit, the team that would be crowned as the champion would lose in the finals.
They had to pull the biggest itch move in the history of the league to do it.. tbf tho.. not like LeBum didn’t equally pull the same kinds of moves to try and build a stupid strong artificial super team to help him overcome GS. I miss the days where most great teams were teams organically put together with smart drafting and player development..
@@NhanTran-sx8vx About the 2015 Warriors.. I think they only won that year because Cleveland was basically down to LeFlop from injuries. I genuinely believe Cleveland was the better team in both 2015 and 2016 when running at full strength.. BUT.. it was damn close and I think GS was just under them. Then.. GS had to run and sign KD so they could finally be above Cleveland across the board and absolutely broke the league to do it. 2022 Warriors.. I think they were a good team, but not necessarily a great team and they beat Boston with a combination of Boston flopping and GS leaning on tons of experience. I’m not trying to say that organic teams never win championships anymore.. they definitely do.. Denver last year was a great example of that but IDK if they really qualify as a great team.. they had a relatively easy run to the championship. Just tired of teams trying to overtly buy championships with stacked super teams.
very good video, I played around with this myself and did notice something tho, the minutes for the bench is wild for a playoff type series. bums getting 20+ minutes sometimes on teams, something to note.
Let’s be honest the warriors will beat any basketball team in history And please don’t call Micheal Jordan bulls cause they have no answer for Steph and kd but also the squad depth of the warriors is crazier than the 96” bulls 😭
The '96 Bulls would have homecourt, and MJ is the only star in NBA history to never lose a series with homecourt. That same '17 team was down 3-2 to the Rockets the next year, and it's not a given they would've repeated if CP3 hadn't got injured (or if Houston decided not to play like complete morons in G7). Warriors only beat every team on paper cause you like the names, but if you're going by actual performance on the court, the performances are so close in the playoffs that winning/losing would probably come down to intangibles and homecourt. That's not even adding on the injury story of '17 GS opponents in the playoffs (probably not going 16-1 if Kawhi isn't Zaza'd in G1).
@@gumballwaterson1957 Performance is great, but you have to give the generation gap more respect. The Bulls are not a modern team with modern players, they lack the outside shooting that makes modern offenses so effective, and their reliance on Jordan to make difficult mid-rangers is not going to compete with one of the best offensive schemes ever.
@@blazefactor6849 What they lack in outside shooting they makeup for in defense. I am a big Curry fan, but Curry's biggest weakness was physical defense. Heck even KD was stiffled by the Celtics recently. Bulls had the best perimiter defense.

I love videos like this. This is what made me follow Mike Korzemba at first. Also at 35:31 Lebron has 27 7 and 7 which is his career average and a statline he has never actually hit in real life
My only - but strong - objection to your video is ,that there should have been two (Eastern-Western) brackets ; this, of course ,meaning that some teams would have to be out of the simulation while others would be in but I generally agree that the two most prominent contenders are the '96 Bulls (my favorite anyway) and the '17 GSW. To support my argument, this is what I would choose (respecting though that you'd never make another simulation :) ) West 1) 2017 Golden State Warriors 2) 1972 Los Angeles Lakers 3) 1987 Los Angeles Lakers 4) 2001 Los Angeles Lakers 5) 2014 San Antonio Spurs 6) 2023 Denver Nuggets 7) 2011 Dallas Mavericks 8 ) 1995 Houston Rockets East 1) 1996 Chicago Bulls 2) 1971 Milwaukee Bucks 3) 1986 Boston Celtics 4) 1989 Detroit Pistons 5) 2013 Miami Heat 6) 1963 Boston Celtics 7) 1967 Philadelphia Sixers 8 ) 1983 Philadelphia Sixers
Great video. I know it sounds controversial but I think the 2023 Nuggets might be one of the best teams ever and would match up well with the 96 Bulls. Murray, Kcp, Porter, Gordon, Jokic is quite tough to defeat. They beat Ant, Kat, Gobert, KD, Booker, Lebron, AD, Jimmy all in the same run (they went combined 9-1 against Lakers and Heat in the last two rounds and the 4 games they lost in the playoff run were one possessions away from winning). Murray, Porter and Jokic shot over 40% from 3 in the playoffs. Jokic and Gordon are two of the best finishers any given series (Jokic as a post up player and Gordon as a lob threat). Jokic and Murray are also great from midrange and in the clutch. This team has virtually every great attribute: dominant in transition, in the half court, from 3 point, in the paint, in the clutch. Their motion offense is like the 14 Spurs on Steroids with better star power. They can kill teams in so many different ways. I am someone who believes MJ is the goat and that the 80s and 90s are underrated to modern fans. I however don't think that despite the lore and legend they would beat this Nuggets team. A team with Kemp and Gary Payton (the Sonics) won two games against them. A team with Clyde won two games against them. A team with Malone and Stockton also got two games and chocked in another one. What this Nuggets team puts you through in terms of having to guard everything would cause problems for the Bulls. Jokic is a much better basketball IQ, clutch and shotmaker than Karl Malone and would dominate. Rodman is exceptional at guarding huge Athletic players like Malone and Shaq but I think that he would struggle with Jokic as he did against Larry Bird in the late 80s because their game is way more predicated on fundamentals, IQ and skill.
Came for the basketball talk stayed for the dad jokes! Wouldn’t each team have to play each other at least once to be sure who’s better rather than a bracket?
I think watching KD play the Celtics when they played a 90's defense and shut him down it would be closer. I think they would struggle with Curry and Clay though.
had the same thoughts Nuggets lost g7 with 1 point to the Bull, while they 4-0 the other 2 teams and lost the finals with 5-2 somehow dude ran it multiple times, first time was 4-0 or 4-1 for the Warriors he wanted to make it 4-3.
The game final dates are not matching up on the Lakers versus Cavaliers. The Lakers were up on the 31st and then you show the Cavaliers coming back on the 29th. The final days are not matching.
The ‘72 Lakers team isn’t talked about as one of the greatest duos because Elgin Baylor was such a shell of himself at this point he retired during the ‘72 season. Also the ‘14 spurs weren’t Kawhi’s team, he was important defensively but he didn’t even average 13 ppg that season when they won it all 😬 he was hella efficient that finals run
No way Jordan's gonna let a 3-1 lead slip in the final. He would intimidate the Warriors and dominate like the Alpha GOAT that he is. He had an Aura and Eye of the Tiger. No stats gonna account for that.
how are the 2017 warriors a controversial take as the greatest team of all time? i’m sorry but the 96’ bulls genuinely don’t even come close. the greatest balance of pace, scoring, and defense we’ve ever seen and it will most likely be the last time we’ll see a team like that again
