As a Mavs fan, saying this after trade-deadline roster is garbage is just untrue. Mavs are probably the deepest team in the league, have legit 11 playable playoff guys (even though THJ has been stinking it up recently), have size, rim potection, paint threats, defensive versatility (who would've thought at the beginning of the season), can crash the glass, have ball-handling options in Exum and Hardy, can go small with Kleber and Washington... They can't hit 3s rn but even though they've shot 33% in the last 8 games, they've still won 7 of them. Take away their loss (by 7 to the Thunder without Luka shooting 41% from 3), and they've won 7/7 games while shooting 31.9% from 3. If their threes start falling, watch out

OKC is terrible at two things: rebounding and rim protection. Mavs bullied them non-stop in the paint, I think outscoring them by 30+, because Chet cannot deal with Lively nor Gafford. So yeah, I'm very confident in any OKC-Mavs matchup, that's why I'm not taking into account that game as it's not representative of a fully healthy Mavs team. If you want to know about Mavs' problems, right now they have the lack of perimeter defense and 3pt shooting in general. Against the Nuggets anyone not named Kyrie or Luka combined for 0/13 from 3. PJ Washington and Maxi Kleber are around 20-25% from 3 since the trade deadline, DJJ is not a great shooter, Green is inconsistent and Hardaway is nearly unplayable right now. The only guy that can be trusted is Exum (50% from 3, wild) but he shoots very little usually. Also, Luka isn't playing his best bball rn, having the worst game of his career shooting 5/26 against the Spurs.
