Yes, we have a small tractor with a farmi winch similar to yours and it is quite powerful for what it is, but the winch on a skidder is a whole other level. I'm always impressed with the power and this is a small, older skidder.
I used to log with a John Deere 440B and loved that little machine! I also used a Timberjack 225 and that was a great skidder too! I think its the same as a 208 but with a slightly bigger motor.
Very nice. Never run a tree farmer but there seems to be a few of them around. Similar to Timberjacks....they just keep running. I'll check out your channel. Thanks for the comment.
I like your skidder, looks like a real handy size for getting out in the woods. Can you unlock the differentials for maneuvering? My old International S7B has solid axles so it's always fighting itself trying to turn tight, wish I could unlock the axles at times.
Thanks for the comment. It's a smaller skidder so it does get around the woods pretty well. No, you can't unlock the axles but it doesn't seem to fight itself too bad on tight turns.
That looks like a nice thinning job. Those skidder winches are quite powerful! Nice video.

Live videos of skidder/tractors and pulling logs! Great video :)

I like the TJs....simple and easy on and off! Great skidders.
Had a 79 208 for years, was a great little skidder ! Have a 240 d now.
Yes - just keeps pulling wood. We also have a 230d. Never had a 240 - I bet that can pull a hitch!
Looks good!
Thanks! I appreciate the comment.
I have a 1980 230 super E. great skidder
Sure are. We also have 79' 230D Timberjack. They just keep pulling wood!
Were in Maine are ya?
Good video, I run a 66 tree farmer with a 353 detroit on my channel.
